Chapter 600: Chapter 592: This Little Rogue is Too Sly

Master Tai Cheng did not expect Qin Liuxi to play her cards so unreasonably. Normally, after breaking soone’s Eye-Blocking Technique, isn’t the first reaction to interrogate the other party?

Yet, he didn’t expect her to start jabbing him with needles without so much as a word, and even targeting his pressure points, which was both painful and numbing.

Deliberately, this little rascal must have done it on purpose.

No wonder she always sches against him, it seems she’s gotten used to it.

Master Tai Cheng was poked by the Flying Needle in his pressure points and almost fell from the second floor, but he imdiately managed to stabilize himself with a graceful flip, grabbed the window fra and jumped back, seamlessly entering through the window and landing perfectly.

Click.

Master Tai Cheng stood up, a smug smile stiffening at his lips, but he quickly straightened up as if nothing had happened, only his mustache slightly trembling.

Teng Zhao, with his keen ears and sharp eyes, remarked, “You’ve tweaked your back.”

Master Tai Cheng looked over, wanting to say he was fine.

“At your age, your bones are brittle, you should take care of your body. There’s a door, yet you choose to climb through windows.” Teng Zhao shook his head disapprovingly. “Showing off cos with risks.”

Whose little ghost is this, every word dripping with sarcasm, yet utterly serious.

Teng Zhao added, “My master sets bones, just for a thousand taels consultation fee.”

Master Tai Cheng’s eyes widened. What nonsense, he was here to pick a fight. Why did the scenario suddenly change into this? Couldn’t it be more intense?

Yet he didn’t realize that Teng Zhao could also observe Qi. He sensed the ill intentions but also saw so rit Golden Light on the other, not as blinding as his master’s, but still present, and the malice wasn’t substantial.

“Child’s play should be respectful, pick your targets with Tongi,” Qin Liuxi pushed Teng Zhao towards the basket of Copper Coins before addressing Master Tai Cheng. “Since Master has co all this way, let’s not beat around the bush. Are you here to settle scores after the fall, or to challenge a fight?”

Master Tai Cheng narrowed his eyes, asking, “Are you Chi Yuan’s disciple?”

“Haven’t you already figured that out?” Qin Liuxi replied, her smile not quite reaching her eyes.

Master Tai Cheng, seeing her calm deanor, felt a shock of alarm, “Chi Yuan regressed in his cultivation, hopeless to achieve Foundation Establishnt, yet he took such a disciple; I can’t even discern her background, and she’s surrounded by this aura of golden light, uh…”

Master Tai Cheng’s attention was caught by the golden light swirling around her but noticed a crack behind her where the light seed to be leaking. What an odd girl.

He squinted trying to see clearly, but his eyes stung, and a wave of dull pain hit his chest, a taste of blood rising in his throat; he quickly closed his eyes and silently recited a calming spell, suppressing the blood taste.

When Master Tai Cheng reopened his eyes, his gaze towards Qin Liuxi held deeper contemplation and wariness.

Qin Liuxi squinted her eyes, thinking, this old man seems to have suffered backlash, even though she did nothing. Could it be due to his misdeeds?

A schadenfreude smile quickly appeared on her face.

Master Tai Cheng, with a stern face, declared, “I and your master Chi Yuan aren’t close friends but re acquaintances without enmity. Why do you persistently target ?”

“Master, you can’t make unfounded accusations. I haven’t targeted you; this is our first eting, isn’t it?” Yes, there was no targeting, just plotting.

Master Tai Cheng scoffed, “You don’t need to pretend. Since I’ve co to find you, I obviously know it’s your doing.”

“Didn’t expect you to think so highly of ?” Qin Liuxi coyly said, “My old man always warns not to be complacent, saying there are heavens beyond our heaven, and people beyond our reach, and not to be arrogant. Maybe he should see for himself how highly you think of .”

Inner roar in Master Tai Cheng: I am not praising you; this is sarcasm!

But seeing her bantering, she was just a tricky little scamr; explaining logic was impossible.

“Little Daoist friend knows exactly what you did. I’ve no enmity with Jinhua Temple. Why make a trap for ? All mystic sects are one family; as Daoists, we should help and watch over one another.”

Qin Liuxi sighed, “Just last month, our Qingping Temple welcod two Daoists, one nad Xuan Qingzi, and another called either Lingqing or Qingling Fairy.”

Master Tai Cheng’s expression tightened.

Aren’t those his two disciples?

“They said they were tracking a missing Evil Ghost and ca to our Daoist temple for help. Maybe they’re used to being lofty. Asking for help seed like giving orders, especially that Fairy, boasting before my master about their master’s profound Foundation Establishnt Cultivation, then bluntly asking about my master’s cultivation level. What nonsense!”

Qin Liuxi’s voice chilled, “What level my old man’s cultivation is, isn’t sothing juniors can question. My old man doesn’t bother with juniors, but I’m different. Whoever challenges him, I challenge with strength because my strength proves his teachings. Guess what, I led them to capture that Evil Ghost, but it nearly scared them to death with an illusion. They were utterly useless, despite being at the Qi Cultivation Second and Third Level.”

This jeer left Master Tai Cheng feeling embarrassed; indeed, it was Qingling who instigated this. He knew her temperant, spoiled by the brothers in the temple, and yet she hadn’t learned restraint while traveling.

“I’m not usually vengeful, those two juniors aren’t worth my grudge, right? But here I am, t a good person who was victim to a life-stealing evil magic. Just now, Master also ntioned, slaying evil is the duty of us who follow the Righteous Path.”

Master Tai Cheng: I didn’t say that, don’t slander!

Qin Liuxi grinned, “As followers of the Righteous Path, of course, we can’t tolerate such vile magic. If we didn’t know, so be it, but now approached for help, we certainly must intervene.”

Eavesdropping Teng Zhao interjected: No, Jing Xiaosi just paid too much!

Master Tai Cheng wanted to retort, so you call this the Righteous Path? Righteous people don’t command that despicable old ghost to steal my underpants!

But such dark history, better not ntioned, lacks decorum, what if she doesn’t admit it?

No, this little rascal definitely won’t admit it!

“I broke that vile magic, never expected that accursed Evil Path practitioner, relentless in evil intent, tried to sneak an attack. I just had to retaliate. We’re monks, true, but not like those in the Buddhist Sect who refrain from killing; surely can’t just sit still and get beaten, if others co striking, surely we must fight back, right, Master?” Qin Liuxi’s eyes sparkled, urging, praise as smart.

Master Tai Cheng’s face was utterly grim, this little rascal is too evasive and slippery!

With Qin Liuxi stating this, he understood, the one who broke the Taiyang Technique and caused him backlash, was her. With the younger Xuan Qingzi and Taiyang’s new and old grudges piling up, she charged this account to Jinhua Temple.

She wanted to settle this score, and didn’t look elsewhere but directly approached him who served as both master and elder brother, combining all scores in one, then ambushed him!
