Capítulo 621: Chapter 609: You Dare, Old Man!

The Black Robed Man, also known as Sha Yuanzi, ran very fast. By the ti Qin Liuxi grasped the paper figure, the trace of his presence had vanished.

Qin Liuxi’s face was cold and stern. Where did this lunatic spring from? They had barely fought for long, and she hadn’t even launched her powerful move yet when he had already fled?

Just like a scoundrel who leaves right after flirting.

She really wanted to kill him.

Standing motionless, Qin Liuxi thought of his self-proclaid title, Sha Yuanzi, who had also addressed her as a junior brother, knew her master, could even replicate the master’s appearance, and used maneuvers strikingly similar to her own. Could it be that that old man secretly took in other worthless disciples behind her back?

She would settle this account with the old man when she got back.

However, Qin Liuxi’s urge to kill him stemd from more than his madness. It was the faint, distasteful aura emanating from him that she didn’t get a chance to fully investigate before he escaped.

Did he run so swiftly to test her actual strength, or was it for the Jiao Pearl, or perhaps it was both?

Qin Liuxi looked at the Void where Sha Yuanzi disappeared, huffed heavily with exasperation, and turned to leave. As she moved, she felt an uneasiness spread over her body.

Her expression hardened as she looked down at her hands. Unbeknownst to her, a blood-red line had appeared on her wrists. The chilling, evil aura was rapidly coursing through her ridians, moving so swiftly that it seed like a dragon bursting forth.

Feeling the bone-piercing evil aura wreaking havoc up from her wrists, her body felt cold as if iced over. Qin Liuxi chuckled in spite. That bloody, filthy mirror had found a loophole and touched her with its curse.

Indeed, it was the work of an alchemist capable of such high-end Luck Changing Technique.

With a thought, Qin Liuxi summoned the Karmic Fire within her body, and the andering Yin Evil was quickly consud and dissipated as if it had t its nesis.

Sha Yuanzi stopped in his tracks within a gloomy forest, leaning against a tree as he spat out a mouthful of blood. Pressing his painful chest, his eyes revealed a hint of ruthlessness.

How long had it been since he’d been in such a wretched state, and all within a single day – damn it.

Thinking of Qin Liuxi’s arrogant and unpredictable disposition, he had to laugh in anger yet also felt slightly unconvinced by her.

He had been too hasty this ti.

Before this encounter, he had suffered backlash twice. He should have properly recovered before seeking out Qin Liuxi. Perhaps out of eagerness to see how the disciple under the wing of the old fellow, Master Chi Yuan, had grown, and learning that the Jiao Pearl was in her possession, he had been too impulsive, unable to wait even a mont longer before acting.

Yet, he had underestimated Qin Liuxi. He did not expect that despite her young age, she had mastered the Magic Techniques so well. He could overlook the external Magic Artifacts and talismans, assuming they were just tools prepared by the old man, Master Chi Yuan, for her. What made him wary of Qin Liuxi was that she was unmoved when pulled into the illusion of the Blood Mirror. For soone her age, her inner poise was impressively stable.

And then there was the small fireball she dropped, directly damaging his Blood Mirror and causing another backlash on him.

Realizing the extraordinary nature of that fireball, Sha Yuanzi felt threatened. If the fight continued, he might have died at Qin Liuxi’s hands.

So, he wisely chose to survive. As soon as Qin Liuxi appeared, he used a body double to make his quick escape.

The notion of dying rather than yielding doesn’t exist. If you can’t win, you run, that’s the way to survive and talk about the future.

Today, he had rushed in ill-prepared and suffered consecutive backlashes, which gave Qin Liuxi the upper hand. After he recovered for a day or two, he would co back for the Jiao Pearl.

They would have more ti in the future.

Sha Yuanzi spat out another mouthful of hot blood, licked the blood at the corner of his mouth, and narrowed his eyes slightly. That fireball was extrely domineering as though it could burn all things, and even he could feel his soul shake from the impact. What kind of fire was that?

Returning to her lodgings in the village, Qin Liuxi saw Teng Zhao standing at the doorway, his face tense. Upon seeing her return, his eyes brightened for a mont before returning to normal.

“We won,” he said, subtly scanning her from head to toe.

Qin Liuxi approached and flicked his forehead. “Why isn’t the little kid asleep? Careful not to go bald from staying up.”

“Are you hurt?” Teng Zhao frowned, he could sll the blood, foul and filthy.

“Not at all.” Qin Liuxi glanced at herself and even lifted her arm to sniff, also detecting the stench of blood, which made her feel sowhat nauseated.

That thing with Sha Yuanzi’s Blood Mirror was quite sothing. Dragged into an illusion and still left reeking of blood after erging.

Following Qin Liuxi back into the room, with the light from the lamp, Teng Zhao saw the dirt and blood on her robe and silently fetched a clean set of clothes for her.

Qin Liuxi’s gaze softened, and she ruffled his hair. “Go to sleep.”

“Who was it?” Teng Zhao asked, staring at the dirty hem of her clothes.

Qin Liuxi recalled Sha Yuanzi’s face and said, “An ugly bastard.”

Teng Zhao: “?”

“It might be soone related to our Qingping Temple.” Qin Liuxi spoke, “We’ve been out for quite so ti, after the auction, we’ll head back.”

“Mhm.” Teng Zhao missed the Little Ginseng Spirit too, wondering if its leaves had grown in fully.

The Little Ginseng Spirit, basking in the Moonlight and absorbing it, burped suddenly, a jolt of energy waking him up. He opened his eyes and touched the leaves on top of his head, as well as the red fruit that was nearly grown, feeling an ominous sense of foreboding.

Was this an aftereffect of missing the Little Evil God too much?

No, it didn’t miss that Evil God at all. It just felt that the courtyard was too quiet, quite boring.

At Qingping Temple.

Master Chi Yuan opened his eyes from ditation, counted on his fingers, furrowed his white brows, and his expression darkened.

He stood and walked to the back wall of the Daoist Room, chanted a spell, clapped a hand in a Sealing gesture, and pressed another on a protruding piece of rock. The uneven wall slowly parted to reveal a doorway.

Master Chi Yuan walked in, the long corridor was lit with long-burning lamps, illuminating the walls adorned with murals.

These were murals depicting the founding history of the Qingping Sect.

Passing through the corridor led to a vast cave space, neatly inlaid with jade stones, filled with Spiritual Energy, and brightly lit by the long-burning lamps, as bright as daylight.

To the left of the cave, small holes were carved out to store many ancient Scripture Scrolls, encompassing all of the Xuann Five Skills, and even so untransmitted prescriptions and Secret Techniques from Ancient Tis. To the right were several Life Plates.

So Life Plates were already covered in a dull, lightless grey, enveloped by a black aura, indicative of the deceased status of the person they belonged to.

Master Chi Yuan looked at his own Life Plate, let out a sigh, and then walked to a corner to bend down and retrieved a Life Plate from a niche that should have been covered in dust. He stared intently at it.

The Life Plate, which had already turned dark, was now emanating a faint red glow, the red aura slowly enveloping it.

“You really didn’t die completely.” Master Chi Yuan gripped the Life Plate tightly, his face darkened as he uttered a na: “Chi Linzi.”

He had personally witnessed his soul scattering; how was there still a glimr of life? What contingency had he left behind, or had he found so sort of opportunity?

Master Chi Yuan sat down at the center of the cave, in front of a Taiji Bagua Table. He had just picked up the Shi Grass from a small box on the side of the table to perform the Da Yan Divination thod, when he heard a shout by his ear: “Old man, you dare!”

Master Chi Yuan shuddered, dropping the Shi Grass onto the table, he looked around and clutched his chest in fright. He thought the rebellious disciple had returned!

He turned his attention back to the Shi Grass, not touching it for a long ti. After a long while, he sighed and returned the Shi Grass to the box.

Forget it.
