Very quickly, the monster moved so close to Kain that Kain could almost sll the monster's foul breath in his nostrils.

But when the Nightcrawler's attack hit, Kain was still knocked back from his original position.
He felt as if his lungs had just stopped beating, his whole body was numb beyond description, as if a large rock had fallen on him.

"Kain!"
