After Budot left, Faith turned to Myra, who was still reeling in astonishnt.

"Shall we continue?" Faith smiled. Myra was his tool to lure Kain, so how could he neglect her? He had to "take good care" of her.

Myra didn't jump straight into the story. She just asked one question: "Are you guys always like this?"

"I don't understand what you're talking about," Faith feigned innocence.

"I an... you just used words to push back a High-class Magus."

"Oh, that? I'll take it as a complint," Faith replied, his smile unwavering, sending shivers down Myra's spine.

Monster.

That was the only word Myra could think of to describe Faith.

However, what needed to be done, she still had to do.

So, after calming herself, Myra began recounting her past, starting ten years ago.

Unlike ra's recounting, Myra's perspective felt more direct and focused, as if she were vividly reliving and narrating it. Faith realized this wasn't necessarily a good mory, but rather Myra's subjective compensation of mories. Especially the parts described in vivid detail about continuous context and strong emotions; these were absolutely Myra's exaggerations or distortions.

Of course, this couldn't be 100% definitively confird, but Faith didn't just observe one reaction; he observed a series of reactions to continuously build his conclusions.

Myra, in fact, harbored a subtle jealousy towards ra, stemming from the fact that the two sisters had different personality archetypes. The more energetic and mischievous child would naturally draw more attention, while the quieter child would attract less attention when placed beside the lively one. This led to their parents' attention being skewed towards ra.

Faith, of course, understood a principle: people don't feel jealous if others receive more than them, but they do feel jealous if they receive less than others. They might sound similar, but they are fundantally different. The first involves assessing the circumstances before evaluating what was received, while the second involves evaluating what was received before re-evaluating the circumstances. The first is, of course, more objective, while the second has already been influenced by subjective preconceptions.

Myra should have developed a nasty personality, but it was precisely the rationality that pushed her away in relationships that helped her maintain an inherently good character. One might say it's ironic, but also truly balanced.

This further reinforced Faith's previous assessnt, but in reverse. Myra was like an exquisitely crafted porcelain vase, fractured from within, yet that very fracturing contrasted with her beautiful exterior, like a work of art with perfect parallel construction.

Soone who rationalized emotions to deal with emotions themselves, but that very rationality was pushed to its extre, becoming emotion.

When things reach an extre, they reverse.

That's how Faith described Myra. She even had so semblance of... his forr self, albeit a slight one.

As for the story of Myra's mother, for Faith, it wasn't difficult to deduce. After all, Kain had only inferred the entire overall picture from vague details ra recounted. Similarly, Faith only needed the details Myra provided to infer the complete overall picture. Neither was superior to the other.

"Your mother was a Magus but hid her identity, indicating she was being pursued."

"Even so, your mother still publicly showed her face, only instructing you and your sister not to interact with magic. Therefore, her evasion must only be related to magic, not her personal identity. At the sa ti, this also seems related to inherited bloodline, otherwise, what parent wouldn't want their children to have self-defense in this harsh world?"

"Unless, the only path to self-defense is the path to death."

"After that, your mother revealed her Magus identity, fought until her energy was depleted. Then her personality changed, and finally, she disappeared, leaving behind only an unclear pool of blood."

"This actually has a lot to analyze. And of course, it also supports my previous hypothesis."

"Firstly, whatever was pursuing your mother must have been located by magic, and this thing could only be effective when your mother was exhausted of power, thus falling into a deep coma. This was definitely due to external influence, as no mid-class Magus would sleep for ten days straight."

"Secondly, she must have known the consequences of her signature being traced by her pursuers. But why didn't she flee imdiately after waking up? Instead, she lingered for a month, showing a change in personality, and then disappeared?"

"Analyzing this closely reveals too many suspicious points. If one argues that she willingly stayed to prevent her pursuers from harming her family, it doesn't make sense. Because what the pursuers were targeting was not her personal identity; her previous behavior proved that. As long as she left, they might not even know she was the mayor's wife."

"So, what if she lingered out of rembrance and affection for her family? That doesn't make sense either. A few days, perhaps, but a whole month? Clearly too abnormal. If your mother truly loved her family, she should have left imdiately to ensure their safety."

"Thirdly, did your mother disappear or was she captured? I lean more towards her disappearing on her own, because all the details above indicate that she was concealing another purpose. And this disappearance was a natural consequence."

"I hypothesize that everything she did was actually setting up a false target from her own children, who inherited her bloodline. This was ant to mislead her pursuers. Of course, this false target had to be maintained for an extrely long ti, because the longer it was maintained, the longer her pursuers couldn't reach her."

"And that is my answer. Are you satisfied, Myra?"

Faith smiled, but every word he spoke was like a knife piercing through Myra's emotional facade.

She trembled, her voice gradually twisting. "No... that's impossible! My mother... my mother..."

"Yes, she was very kind, wasn't she? But have you noticed, why did she care more for ra than for you? Was it simply because of their personalities?"

"What does... that have to do with anything?" Myra desperately tried to cling to what was in her mind, no longer seeking the truth, but trying to protect the image of her gentle mother in her mories. But the deeper she dug, the more horrified she beca, as the truth seed to have been laid bare before her, and she had simply chosen to ignore it.

"How is it not related? Of course it is!"

"Myra, your father is the mayor; he's busy with work so he wasn't around much, making your mother the primary emotional anchor."

"Favoring one of two children isn't complicated or rare, because everyone has biases. But haven't you ever wondered how your mother favored ra so much that it pushed you to this point? And why did she favor ra so much?"

"The answer is, you're nothing. Just a bonus item. Your sister, ra, was the main lamb your mother raised."
