YOOL was really caught by Song Moonho.
He had already arrived at Wonhee’s apartnt complex when Ahyeon inford him that Ahyeon was on the move.
The poor ’baby’ was with Yeon Soobin and Shin Geon.
[I heard they’re moving Lee Seodam to the National Guide Center to keep him out of Hwang Frost’s sight.]
Yool clenched his hands tight.
[If I wasn’t late, I would have punched that bastard.]
Pfft.
Hmm?
Yool glanced at Song Moonho, who was currently laughing while driving, and knitted his eyebrows. "What?"
As he said earlier, Song Moonho caught him leaving the apartnt complex.
And then the old man dragged him to his car.
[Here we are now.]
"Yool-ssi, you’re going to hurt yourself if you punch a high-ranking Hunter like Lee Seodam."
Ah.
[I said it out loud.]
"I’m shocked that Lee Seodam is still alive," Yool said. He didn’t feel the need to hide his anger from Song Moonho, hence he was openly talking shit behind Lee Seodam’s back. "I heard that scumbag pushed Wony in front of Hwang Frost and Wony’s overprotective siblings."
"To be fair, Lee Seodam was heavily injured," Song Moonho said. "Hwang Frost almost killed him. But since we needed him alive, Semi Noona gave Lee Seodam so potions... C-Grade potions. His wounds would heal slowly, so he must be in pain right now."
"Yeon Soobin and Jang Semi must be dying from frustration that they couldn’t punish Lee Seodam the way they wanted to," Yool said, letting out a sigh. "To be honest, I can relate to them."
Wonhee probably didn’t know that Lee Seodam was possessed by a Virus.
[I can’t imagine how much pain Wony must be in right now.]
But, most of all, Yool wished for Wonhee to be safe wherever she was.
"They can’t do anything about it since Hunter Lee Seodam was saved by the System," Song Moonho explained, his eyes focused on the road (thank goodness). "This is classified information, but since I trust Yool-ssi with all my heart, I’m going to tell you what happened. I’m sure Hunter Do Ahyeon and Miss Chu would tell you everything anyway."
"Damn right."
[That’s what you call best friend privilege.]
And, so, Yool listened to Song Moonho’s ’report.’
It ended up giving him a headache.
[Reality is stranger than fiction, indeed.]
"In short, that bastard Lee Seodam has beco so sort of host to the Virus that could infiltrate the System and hack it?"
"Yes, you got it right," Song Moonho said, nodding. "According to Chu Wonhee’s Admin, the Virus could only possess one Hunter for a certain ti. Hence, the Admin was confident that the Virus would return and possess Hunter Lee Seodam again."
So, that was why the System prevented them from killing Lee Seodam.
[They’re going to use Lee Seodam as bait... wait.]
Yool raised an eyebrow. "Will Lee Seodam survive if you attack him while he’s possessed by the Virus? If you’re going to use him as bait to lure out the Virus, then wouldn’t it be better to trap the Virus in Lee Seodam’s body and kill it? Because if we let the Virus leave Lee Seodam’s body, then the Virus might just escape and use a different Irregular the next ti it decides to co out and attack the System again."
"I’m speechless, Yool-ssi."
"What? Even Civilians can have violent and dangerous thoughts. I know I’m being harsh towards Lee Seodam right now, but we have to catch the Virus and kill it as soon as possible."
"Are you sure you’re thinking for the greater good and not just because you want to get back at Hunter Lee Seodam for pushing Chu Wonhee into the whirlpool?"
"..."
Song Moonho chuckled as if he found Yool adorable even though Yool was being very an at the mont. "Yool-ssi, let go of your pettiness. That wasn’t Hunter Lee Seodam. It was the Virus who wanted to hurt Chu Wonhee."
"Whatever."
Yool then fell silent while racking his brain for any useful information from the novel.
[It’s been five years already since I got here, so my mories are unreliable now. That’s exactly why I wrote down all the important details in my diary. But I never really revisited the diaries since I thought we’d be safe as long as we avoided Graham and Ahn Kisoo.]
But what was this?
[All the big incidents that happened recently barely involved Graham and Ahn Kisoo.]
Could it be that Graham and Ahn Kisoo’s story ended after Ahn Kisoo lost his Guiding abilities?
Honestly, it was plausible since Wonhee wasn’t an S-Class Guide in the novel.
His best friend was a villainess.
[The next volu that I didn’t get to read hinted that Yeon Soobin might be the next antagonist to avenge Wony. Because the latter half of the last volu I read before I got transmigrated revolved around Lee Seodam and Park Ruda.]

Perhaps it was because Lee Seodam would play a big role as the Virus’ host?
Yool unconsciously pulled his hair, still racking his brain while trying to connect the new pieces of information that he obtained to the hazy details of the novel in his head.

[So, was it hinted that Yeon Soobin beca a villain not to avenge Wony but to kill the Virus that possessed Lee Seodam?]
Just when Yool thought he had things figured out, a splitting headache hit him.
And then unfamiliar yet vivid images entered his mind, causing him to shut his eyes tight. This ti, he used his hands to cover his ears instead of clutching his head. It was because the vivid images were accompanied by loud voices.
"Yool-ssi, what’s happening?"
Of course, Yool couldn’t answer Song Moonho because he was busy ’watching’ the ’scenario’ playing in his head.
He could see and hear Wonhee talking to... him.
[Or is it the original Gong Yool?]
But that was impossible.
’Gong Yool’ didn’t have a role in the novel.
["Wony-ah, don’t do it."]
["Yool-ah, only I can purify Seodam Oppa!"]
What did it an?
Yool tried to open his eyes– only to be t with darkness as soon as he did.
All the while, Song Moonho’s worried voice rang in his ears.

YEON SOOBIN wasn’t a naturally-awakened S-Class Hunter.
He awakened as an A-Class Hunter, and only when he honed his skills did he level up.
However, he wasn’t the combatant type.
He spent most of his awakened years inside his instead of raiding dungeons.
Having said that, he still had the power to overwhelm other Awakened People.
That was what happened when he went to the new APA Village which was, as its na suggested, an apartnt complex built for Awakened People working for APA.
Soobin, as APA’s Vice President, had access to it.
Yes, he was abusing his authority, and no one could stop him.
All the Hunters and even the Guides around Soobin collapsed.
Shin Geon, who would often remind him to treat Guides kindly, didn’t say a thing. It was because his husband knew he couldn’t control his emotions at the mont.
"Vice President, what is happening?"
Fortunately, Soobin’s informant was correct.
Park Ruda was really in the APA Village instead of his private residence.
Soobin ignored Park Ruda and looked over his shoulder first. "Do Ahyeon, bring Lee Seodam inside."
By ’inside,’ he ant Park Ruda’s apartnt.
Do Ahyeon, who was carrying the still unconscious Lee Seodam on his back, nodded politely. "Y-Yes, Vice President-nim."
Soobin entered Park Ruda’s apartnt even without being invited, pushing the A-Class Guide out of his way as if he owned the place.
[I’ll just get rid of the CCTV footage here later.]
Geon and Do Ahyeon followed suit.
"What happened to Lee Seodam?" Park Ruda asked worriedly while walking behind them. "How did he get hurt?"
Haaah.
Soobin turned around and faced Park Ruda.
He towered over the A-Class Guide, and it was clear that he got Park Ruda intimidated because of the bloodlust oozing out of his body.
But it was also obvious that Park Ruda was trying to act strong.
"Lee Seodam pushed my baby sister into a whirlpool that works similar to a Crack," Soobin said through gritted teeth. "What the hell is Lee Seodam?"
Of course, he already knew the answer to his questions.
[I’m just trying to catch Park Ruda and see if he knows sothing about Lee Seodam that we should also know about.]
However, Soobin didn’t get the reaction that he wanted.
Park Ruda scoffed. "Chu Wonhee is insufferable, so maybe Lee Seodam got fed up with her and snapped?"
The arrogant A-Class Guide couldn’t finish what he was trying to say.
Soobin grabbed Park Ruda by the throat. "Do you have a death wish?"

Yejun was relieved that the monster was weak.
And he knew just how to deal with it.
He opened his hand and waited until a small snowball materialized above his palm. And then he threw it at the dungeon’s fake sky.
The snowball hit the ’body’ of the dungeon.

It was one of the skills that Yejun chose to upgrade because of its usefulness.
was a kill that allowed him to multiply as many ice weapons as his Mana would allow.
He didn’t have to use that particular attack because an SS-Grade skill would be enough to kill an S-Grade Sea Monster.
However, he chose that skill to test it out.
Yejun put his hand down and, as soon as he did, hundreds of ice arrows poured from the sky like little teorites.
All the ice arrows were programd to only attack the Sea Serpent.
The monster wouldn’t be able to escape.
[So, now...]
Yejun, while suspended in the air, imdiately looked for Chu Wonhee.
There was a villa near the shore, and there were two people standing in front of it. Yes, his sharp eyes allowed him to see from afar clearly.
And that was why Yejun could clearly see Wonhee.
The first thing he did was check if she was injured.
Luckily, Wonhee wasn’t hurt (physically, at least).
Yejun finally cald down, the Static in his head finally went silent.
He could finally breathe again.
[Hmm?]
That was the mont it hit him.
"It’s Hwang Won-jun if it’s a boy," Yejun whispered to himself while clutching his chest tight– his heart beating erratically against his chest. "And it’s Hwang Ye-hee if it’s a girl."
