"HWANG YEJUN, leave," Wonhee said coldly. "I don’t want to see you in the anti."
Yejun looked devastated. "Wonhee-ya..."
"I need to think— and I can’t do that with you here."
She felt like she would start saying an and hurtful things to Yejun because of her current state of emotion.
Hence, she wanted him out of her sight.
"But you need soone to stay with you for your protection, Wonhee-ya."
"I won’t leave the house," Wonhee said, avoiding Yejun’s gaze. "Ahyeonnie will be here later, and Semi Unnie’s house is safe. I feel like I’m going to end up hating you at this rate."
"What did I do wrong?"
He did not just ask that, did he?
She really didn’t want to see Yejun, but she ended up glaring at him.
"I don’t understand it, Wonhee-ya," Yejun said in a serious tone. "I chose to hide things from you because I know you’d end up hating yourself if you find out the effect of your abilities on other Awakened People. Is it so wrong for to want to protect you from that pain?"
Wonhee almost lost it.
However, she reminded herself that Yejun was an S-Class Hunter who had already lost most of his human emotions. And because of the god complex that he had developed, he also had a hard ti understanding the point of view of normal people.
[In short, Yejun thinks he’s always right because he’s on the top of the pyramid.]
"Hwang Yejun, I appreciate the fact that you’re putting your life on the line to protect — not because of the System, but because you genuinely care about my well-being," Wonhee said as calmly as she could. "But just because you’re in charge of my protection doesn’t an you get to decide for . I know my weaknesses, so I see where you’re coming from. However, I still have the right to know things that are related to — especially since it affects other people."
"Wonhee-ya..."
"I know that I’m a sheltered little girl, and I also know I’m a pushover most of the ti— but even if I’m like this, I’d still like to be in control of my life," Wonhee said sternly, clenching her hands tight. "Hwang Yejun, you didn’t trust — you didn’t think I’d make the right decision because I’m "too kind.""
Yejun just avoided his gaze as if he was guilty.
[You should have at least denied it!]
She didn’t like his reaction, so she got pissed even more.
"Get out, Hwang Yejun," Wonhee said, turning her back on Yejun. "Don’t show yourself to unless I call for you."

"ARE YOU leaving?" Yool asked Song Moonho curiously. "Where are you going?"
Song Moonho smiled brightly. "I’m going to the enemy’s side."
Crazy bastard.
"You don’t look surprised, Yool-ah."
"Why would I be? You’re originally a villain in the ’novel.’"
It wasn’t a novel but a previous world.
[But since I don’t have all the mories of that world, I still see it as a world within a novel. I will continue doing so until I personally rember the ’past.’]
"Yool-ah, are you saying that it’s only natural that I beco a ’villain?’"
"I’m saying it’s only natural to avenge your brother."
"Oh."
"I’m sorry for your loss, Ahjussi."
"Do you an that?"
"Can I be honest?"
"Sure."
"I really feel bad for you, Ahjussi. After all, I know the grief of losing a family mber," Yool said sincerely, and then he paused for a mont. "But I can’t say that I feel sad that your brother died. He fucked around and found out."
"Are you saying my brother deserved what happened to him?"
[I know this is harsh to say to a person who just lost his brother, but...]
"Every ti I hear your brother’s na, all I rember are his victims. I’m a firm believer that r*pists, child abusers, and ped*philes are so of the scumbags on earth who deserve to die the most grueso way. They already lost their human rights when they committed the unspeakable cris." Yool paused for a mont, but he still continued sharing a piece of his mind. "I can’t say I have empathy for Song Sunho, despite his tragic death."
"That’s harsh," Song Moonho said in a sad voice. "But I understand where you’re coming from."
"Yeah."
"Then how do you feel about the older brother of such a scumbag?"
"You’re also a scumbag for protecting your brother," Yool said bluntly. "I know I should hate you. That’s why I don’t understand why I feel sorry for you, and why I can’t bla you for protecting Song Sunho all this ti."
He had this weird feeling that he knew why he empathized with Song Moonho.
However, sothing else seed to be blocking his ’mories.’
[I don’t understand myself these days.]
"Can you kiss the older brother of the scum you hated?"
"Are you serious about that?"
Song Moonho shrugged. "I told you— I want my reward."
"Your ’goodbye’ kiss."
"Yes."
"Are you going to be my enemy the next ti we see each other?"
"Maybe," Song Moonho said while approaching Yool. Then he stopped in front of him and grabbed him by the waist. "Maybe not."
Yool wondered if he should push the old man away.
However, he didn’t feel a protest in his chest.
This wasn’t the first ti Song Moonho acted so touchy-feely with him, but Yool would admit that this was the first ti the ahjussi made him feel nervous.
[The way Ahjussi looks at now makes feel... things.]
"I’m going to kiss you now, Yool-ah," Song Moonho said, the back of his hand gently caressing Yool’s cheek. "You have three seconds to slap . But don’t slap too hard because you might break your hand."
Haaah.
[Does he really have ti to worry about ?]
"Ahjussi, I’m only doing this because I promised to give you a reward after finding the one hundred little duck toys I hid," Yool said, pulling Song Moonho closer to him by the collar. "My loyalty still lies with Wony."

"TANNIE, are you not going to co out?" Wonhee asked calmly while sitting on the sofa, staring blankly into the air. "I have so things I’d like to ask."
It took a mont before her Status Window popped up.
[MY LIPS ARE SEALED!]
Ah, that was Tannie and not the System.
"Then can I speak to the System directly?"
[THE SYSTEM IS OCCUPIED! SO SORRY!]
Hmm.
She couldn’t tell if Tannie was telling the truth or not.
[REALLY! SO UNKNOWN DATA IS BEING UPLOADED IN THE BASE LEFT AND RIGHT! THE SYSTEM IS BUSY BLOCKING THE HARMFUL ONES!]
"Then can you co out? I want to see you in person."
[I CAN’T CO OUT RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I’M IN CHARGE OF THE ADMIN FLOOR WHEN THE SYSTEM IS BUSY!]
"What can you do for , Tannie?"
[...]
Oh.
Wonhee realized that it sounded harsher than she intended.
She felt bad for lashing out at Tannie.
But when she was about to apologize, her Status Window suddenly popped up again.
[I CAN SEND YOU TO BITNA AGAIN! BUT ONLY FOR A MONT! AND THERE ARE SO FORBIDDEN WORDS THAT THE TWO OF YOU CAN’T SAY TO EACH OTHER! IF ONE OF YOU BREAKS THE RULE, YOU’LL BE IMDIATELY SENT BACK HERE!]
"What are the forbidden words that I can’t say?"
[I CAN’T TELL YOU BECAUSE NTIONING THEM MIGHT TRIGGER THE VIRUS!]
That was ridiculous.
[How am I supposed to avoid the forbidden words when I don’t even know what words not to say?]
She wanted to complain, but she was already too tired of arguing.
It wasn’t in her nature to be confrontational, so having a fight with Yejun was enough to drain her energy.
[I don’t care anymore.]
"Alright, let’s do that," Wonhee said, tired. "Just bring to Bitna— I need soone I can talk to right now."
***
"YOU’RE BACK?"
Wonhee was already used to it, so she was no longer surprised when she opened her eyes and found herself staring at the beautiful beach in front of her.
She was sitting on a chair lounge next to Bitna.
And her friend...
"Here," Bitna said, handing her a glass of what seed like a fruit shake. "It’s a fruit shake made from a fruit that you can only grow in dungeons. If you don’t trust , you can ask the System to check the ingredients to make sure it’s safe."
"I trust you," Wonhee said, receiving the drink from her friend. "But even if you betray , I’ll just get back at you. Since I’m lucky and you’re not, I bet my revenge will go smoothly."
Bitna laughed. "Soone is in a bad mood, huh?"
She was glad that her new friend wasn’t offended by her sour mood.
"I’m sorry for my temper, Bitna-ya."
"It’s alright, Wonhee-ya. Do you want to talk about it?"
"Even if I want to, I don’t know where to start."
"Then is it okay if I speak first?"
Wonhee turned to Bitna with a surprised look on her face. "You have sothing to tell ?"
"Do you know what mistake the System made when it awakened you?"
Wonhee shook her head, a bit confused. "I don’t know. What is it?"
"The System awakened you for the sole purpose of raising the Big 4," Bitna said, gently pointing a finger at Wonhee. "That serves as a shackle to you since you can do so much more with the OP abilities granted to you by the Lucky Star— your Lucky Star."
