Xiao Shen opened his eyes once more in the pitch black ethereal realm. He instinctively reached out his hand to touch the nearest clock to his position, but stopped himself. He shook his inexistent head vigorously.
"No... No. I have to try to go back even further!"
If he regressed back to a few seconds before his death, then Tian Hua would remain dead!
He set his sights on a clock fairly far away from his position and decided to touch that one instead.
"The farther away the better!"
Whether he would end up yesterday, last year or ten years ago, he had no idea. But as long as Tian Hua was alive and well, then he had no issues with it!
"Argh!" Xiao Shen gritted his inexistent teeth as he felt a soul piercing pain.

Moving his inexistent hands to touch a clock that was not the one closest to him caused unimaginable pain!
However, thoughts of Tian Hua’s smile fleeted into his mind, steeling his resolve.

"Ahhhh!!!" Xiao Shen scread out loud, which did not make any sound as he was currently a formless mass, and forced himself to bear the pain of having countless knives cut him piece by piece as he surged his intent forward, touching a clock that was further away from his position.
The spiral of clocks stopped for a split second and began to flow in reverse, sucking him into it like it were a black hole!
"Ah!" Xiao Shen opened his eyes. He looked around and saw the cafe behind him. It seed like he had gone back to when they had both just left!
He sharply looked sideways at Tian Hua walking beside him with a smile on her face and relief washed over him.
"Shen-ge!" Tian Hua wore a look of surprise as Xiao Shen suddenly squatted down and hugged her tightly.
"I’m so glad you’re okay!"
He could finally breathe properly after such a long ti. The thought of losing Tian Hua forever...
That was sothing extrely scary!
"Hmm?" Tian Hua felt that Xiao Shen’s emotions were in a turmoil and let him hug her. Even though it was rather embarrassing as she was far shorter than him and her legs were dangling in the air, at least there were no other people there to see it.

Tian Hua stiffened slightly. He had not called her Hua-Hua since they were children.

"Heh." Xiao Shen chuckled lightly and rubbed her head, while counting inwardly. There was still a few minutes until soone would strike at him.
He smiled and raised her chin with his finger. "It is late and Hua-jie is tired. Plus we have a test tomorrow."
"You won’t even accompany back?" Tian Hua was surprised. She used her small fist to punch his chest. "Cruel, Shen-ge! What if I run into bad people on the way?"
"Right..." Xiao Shen pursed his lips slightly. "Okay, will Hua-jie wait in the cafe for ? I’ll be back in a flash!"
Tian Hua did not know why, but she felt like Xiao Shen had beco much more reliable than ever before. Thus, she nodded her small head. "Alright, then. Be back quickly!"
He watched her walk back to the cafe, and his gaze instantly turned cold as he looked further down the street.
Soone had willingly and intentionally attacked Tian Hua, even killing her for no reason!
If he did not kill that person, then he was not surnad Xiao!
Xiao Shen was a person who grew up in a modern day world of rules and regulations, so it was only natural that he would not think of killing so lightly. However, in the past few hours, he had learnt that another world lay beyond the one he was used to, and, in that world, it was an eye for an eye!
