Xiao Shen hurried over to the restaurant in less than five minutes. Coming in, he was relieved to see that Tian Hua was still there.

"Mmn." Tian Hua nodded her head. Then, she squinted cutely behind her big round glasses and puffed up her cheeks. "Shen-ge... You don’t hate , right?"

He chuckled dryly and shook his head again. "Nonsense! How could I hate my Hua-jie?"
"Shen-ge doesn’t have a girlfriend, right?" Tian Hua asked with a light smile.
"Nope." Xiao Shen shook his head. Then, he looked at Tian Hua. "But why these questions all of a sudden?"
"Xiao Shen, you always leave alone to wait in one place or the other!" Tian Hua pouted and folded her hands, looking exceedingly cute. "I thought we were supposed to hang out. You know, just you and I?"
"Oh? Then I’m very sorry, haha." Xiao Shen gave a hollow laugh. "The thing is that I’ve just been really, really busy. Stuff pop up here and there, requiring to take care of them. There’s Fair—, I an, Shan Ye’s matter, there is, well, the matter of another cousin of mine who ca visiting, many things, haha."
He looked her in the eye and gave a reliable smile. "But, don’t worry. I’m not going anywhere anymore..."

Since her glasses had fallen off and she did not bother to pick them up, Tian Hua was unable to see properly and ended up hitting the edge of the door. The pain alongside her pent up feelings made the tears run freely down her cheeks. She clenched her small teeth and balled her small hands into fists. However, she did not cry. She steeled her resolve and left the restaurant directly.
"Haha..." Xiao Shen scratched the back of his neck. Several people in the restaurant were now giving him strange looks or were staring daggers at him.
Even the waiter back at the end of the room, who was busy serving people, by the way, stopped looking at the glass of water that he was pouring for a young couple and let it overflow as he gave Xiao Shen disapproving looks.
Even the young couple stopped what they were doing and dissaprovingly looked at him too.
Xiao Shen was at a loss for words. Thus, he quietly left the restaurant and headed outside. After all, he had wanted to see the source of that energy surge.
