Two hours later, Su Qing and Wang Xing sat on the living room floor without any regard for their image.

During this ti, the two had rearranged the things he brought to fit the new ho, including setting up a new spot for Da Huang's dog bed.

Although Wen Nanqing had already arranged for soone to clean up earlier, since he had just moved in, everything still needed to be put in order.

No choice, the house was too big, with a two-story design that made the usable area far exceed the actual area of the house.

There were bathrooms on both the upper and lower floors, with a semi-open kitchen and dining room downstairs. Upstairs, apart from the bathroom, there was a bedroom and a study.

That's right, this big house had only one bedroom, which ant it was a single-occupancy house.

When Su Qing saw it for the first ti, he expressed his confusion. Even if the space upstairs was disregarded, squeezing things a bit on the ground floor could accommodate a two-bedroom, one living room, one bathroom, one kitchen setup, albeit with a smaller living room.

But as it stood now, such a big house ended up with just one bedroom and a bed, indicating that it wasn't designed for soone with average economic conditions.

After all, who would buy such a house if they had average economic ans?

Of course, if Wang Xing wanted, he could easily turn it into a two-bedroom by putting a bed in the study, but it seed unnecessary now.

Besides, Su Qing knew well that even if rented out, this house wouldn't co cheap, but it didn't matter since he got a good deal this ti. If the landlord decided to raise the rent in the future, it wouldn't be an issue; he was confident in his current earning pace.

"Qing... Qingzi, with such a big house, you're going to be busy cleaning, for sure. I'm not coming next ti," Wang Xing said, rubbing his sore back.

Hearing this, Su Qing also wiped the sweat from his forehead and stubbornly replied, "Don't worry, I'll enjoy living alone, even if it kills ."

To this, Wang Xing naturally picked up on the underlying ssage and then approached with a cheeky smile, saying, "Qingzi, are you upset that I can't share the rent with you because of ngting?"

After all, they initially agreed, but now he was the one backing out, which wasn't right.

Moreover, because he was deeply affected by his current girlfriend last ti, Su Qing ended up drinking with him until he threw up, and then got picked up by a rich woman. He had sworn there would be nothing between them, yet he ended up dating her. Anyone would be miffed. Thus, he proactively brought stuff over today.

On one side was his long-ti crush, and on the other was his long-ti friend. He didn't want this to cause any rift between them.

Upon hearing this, Su Qing rolled his eyes at him and spat, "Stop putting yourself on a pedestal! I'm too lazy to deal with your ss from now on. At least you finally fulfilled your dream, right?"

In dealing with relationship issues, Su Qing always maintained his limits, even with a long-ti friend like Wang Xing, as over-involvent wasn't good at tis.

Although he knew Jiang ngting wasn't a good match, now that Wang Xing was with her, certain things couldn't be said. It was up to him to experience it. They were adults; they should face the consequences themselves.

From these words, Wang Xing realized Su Qing wasn't angry. He chuckled mischievously and considered the matter settled.

Half an hour later, the two sat at the large dining table, sipping chilled beer, eating skewers, cooked dishes, and even a roast duck.

"That's how it is, Qingzi. You know, I've been chasing ngting for over four years. When she got hurt and ca back to this ti, I couldn't bear it... so..." Wang Xing took a large swig of beer, burped, and said.

It turned out that after Jiang ngting had been caught by Wang Xing flirting with a mid-level manager from a company, the two hadn't contacted each other for a while.

After a week of being down, Wang Xing seemingly accepted reality.

But Jiang ngting suddenly contacted Wang Xing the day before yesterday. After eting, he learned that she was deceived by the man who had a family. His wife had confronted her, ending things unpleasantly.

She finally saw the man's true colors, rembered Wang Xing's goodness, and thus turned back to him.

Of course, this was Wang Xing's version, mostly based on Jiang ngting's account.

However, Su Qing from the side narration learned another version.

That was Jiang ngting knew the man had a family but valued his position in the company, wanting to gain so benefits and even considered getting pregnant to oust the wife, thus securing her position.

But unexpectedly, the man's wife was no pushover. As soon as so clues surfaced, they were caught in the act, beaten up, and even fild.

The most despairing mont for her was when the man adamantly broke off contact with her afterwards and even deactivated her secondary card.

The man's wife, using so connections, spread the word, making it impossible for Jiang ngting to mingle in the circle.

Initially, she had distanced from most of her 'fish' to secure the man, but once he cut off her secondary card, with no job and her 'simps' no longer supporting her, she was struggling to keep up.

Though she could rebuild her 'pond' of admirers, it would take ti, but her credit cards couldn't wait. So, she thought of Wang Xing.

Moreover, this ti she was straightforward, saying she wanted to be his girlfriend, and indeed, Wang Xing agreed.

Although Su Qing had anticipated this outco, he couldn't help but curiously ask:

"I get it, but didn't you say you deleted all her contacts? How did she get in touch? She wouldn't have just shown up at your place, right?"

Upon hearing this, Wang Xing sheepishly scratched his head and answered, a bit embarrassed, "I did delete and block her, but she contacted through a ga."

Su Qing: ...

Props to them, indeed still intertwined, and even if not through a ga, they might have found a way through Alipay. Nowadays, unless you ditch your phone, there are always traces to follow.

He didn't ntion the sidebar narrator's hints, as the process wasn't important once they were together. After pondering for a while, Su Qing asked seriously:

"Old A, do you think she genuinely turned her heart back, or do you trust that she's truly decided to settle down?"

He avoided using the term "settle down" since it was sowhat unbecoming given that she was now Wang Xing's girlfriend.

"Even if not... what does it matter? I just don't want to live with any regrets. Maybe it won't be as great as I imagined, right?" Wang Xing suddenly raised his head, speaking seriously.

Hearing this, Su Qing was montarily stunned; he saw sothing else in Wang Xing's gaze, suggesting that maybe the previous blow wasn't entirely ineffective.

Then he laughed, saying, "As long as you understand your own heart, but you've got so nerve to try again after everything. Impressive!"

And Wang Xing smiled, shaking his head, resignedly saying, "That's just love cancer!"

Upon hearing this, Su Qing spat and exclaid, "I cancer your mama's hawks!"
