Practice makes perfect, teachers used to tell us when we were young that the early bird catches the worm. But after growing up, he realized the teacher was wrong. He didn't know if the early bird got the worm, but the early bird was definitely sleepy.

Sunday flew by, and after nearly a year, Su Qing started his work life again.

However, today he didn't take Big Yellow for a morning run. Instead, he leisurely left the house at eight in the morning.

Start work at nine, leave the house at eight—an hour is more than enough ti. Besides, today was his first day of reporting to work, so even if he's a bit late, it wouldn't be a big deal. No need to rush.

"Turn left at the traffic lights 500 ters ahead," Su Qing said, riding a shared bike, directing the dog pulling the cart ahead, Big Yellow.

"Woof woof!" [You old trickster, I'm not so idiot!]

Big Yellow's disgruntled voice ca through, clearly unhappy about being cast in the role of an idiot dog. It was almost on the verge of swearing.

It's not a sled dog, so why should it do the work of an idiot dog?

Indeed, Su Qing noticed that Shen Yi's company wasn't far from here, just a few streets away. Honestly, Aunt Shen thought of everything—choosing a location so he wouldn't be too far away.

Although taking the subway was faster and more comfortable, bringing Big Yellow would be sowhat inconvenient. As for going ho to drive my dad's car, that was possible too. The main thing was that he needed to walk the dog to blow off Big Yellow's excess energy, otherwise, what if it wrecks the house?

After all, the furniture at ho was quite expensive. He couldn't let Big Yellow destroy it, so he thought of this work-as-walking-the-dog thod.

Tie the rope to the bicycle, let Big Yellow pull, and he didn't even have to exert himself. The speed wasn't slow either; consuming four at buns per 100 kiloters.

"Why are you barking? I'm not making you pull for nothing," Su Qing said as he took two pork buns from the bike basket, bit into one himself, and tossed another.

As the bun flew out, Big Yellow leaped up, but smack, the bun hit its face.

Su Qing covered his forehead, realizing this silly dog didn't have much athletic talent. Catching things mid-air never worked and it had basically said goodbye to activities like frisbee.

"Are you full?"

"Woof" [One more]

Su Qing casually tossed another bun. Sa action, sa face smack—a continuous performance. Once the human and the dog were full and had enough to drink, off they went.

Soon, during the morning rush hour, there appeared a young man commanding a dog.

A golden retriever pulling a shared bicycle down the street, speeding through the heavy traffic with remarkable speed, overtaking the slow-crawling cars while zigzagging across the road.

The peak speed reached nearly 30 mph, astonishing all the drivers. A bicycle during rush hour has its definite advantages, but if pulled by a dog, it becos legendary.

Amid the rapid motion, Su Qing couldn't help but hum a familiar tune.

"Roll shrimp noodles, love like a fake dead pen with hard strokes, call Grandpa's age, eating well in prison, good friends, take your mom flying, hit the child and kick the butt..."

At this mont, he transford into Jiang City's number one rascal, Qingzai Fujiwara, on his 86 bike, with Big Yellow as the turbocharged engine, providing steady and durable power.

For a mont, the man and the dog worked seamlessly. Following the navigation, they turned corners without hindrance, crossing several streets swiftly. As they passed by, they attracted a lot of attention, and even so envious gazes from children.

With so many onlookers, Big Yellow exerted even more effort, speeding up another notch.

After all, it was still a dog, and no matter how its mom and dad walked it, they couldn't really let it run freely and release all its energy. This was its first full-speed run ever.

anwhile, Su Qing was furiously pedaling to help Big Yellow, following the speeding antics, maintaining balance.

Screech~~

Clenching the rear brake, Su Qing made a sharp left turn, the rear wheel producing a friction-induced drift sound as it barely touched the edge of the curb, accomplishing a hydrodynamic-like cornering feat.

At nearly nine o'clock, the man and the dog finally arrived at the comrcial building.

Su Qing took a deep breath, slightly sweating but feeling surprisingly refreshed. Bicycling is indeed a great aerobic exercise.

He turned to Big Yellow, asking, "How was it? Fun?"

"Woof woof woof!" [Almost dead! You stupid *ss! Screw you!]

At that mont, Big Yellow lay sprawled on the ground, panting heavily with its tongue out, looking completely exhausted.

While you indeed got so cardio, all the anaerobic action was on ! Finally, Big Yellow felt the ill intentions from its owner, experiencing its first bit of harsh reality as a rookie entering the work world.

"Get up, it's ti for work. You don't want to be late on your first day, do you?" Su Qing shouted, tugging on the leash.

But no matter how he pulled, Big Yellow refused to get up. In the end, he had no choice but to carry Big Yellow towards the building.

In the first half, he was riding the dog; in the last stretch, the dog was riding him. As they say, karma catches up to everyone.

But Su Qing is no ordinary person. After entering the building, he put Big Yellow down and then dragged it across the smooth floor by its leash.

Can't help it, even though there weren't too many people going to work at this hour, there were still a few. Mainly, a couple of attractive ladies looking curiously made him feel embarrassed.

The building had six elevators, and Su Qing quickly found the right one based on his phone's directions.

Although there were stairs and Shen Yi's company wasn't that high up, only on the fourth floor, he didn't want to carry Big Yellow up the stairs.

Maybe it was because it was past nine, but the elevator area wasn't crowded.

Ding dong

The elevator opened, and Su Qing stepped in alone. Just as the doors were about to close, a voice rang out from a distance:

"Wait, wait!"

Su Qing pressed the button to reopen the elevator, and a petite girl ran in, panting.

"Tha...thank you!" She smiled and greeted. But the next second, her expression turned unnatural, or rather, a bit tense. She looked at Su Qing with a hint of caution, then shrank into the corner.

Su Qing silently closed the elevator doors, then realized her discomfort and responded with a laugh:

"Don't worry, it doesn't bite... Oh crap, where's my dog?"

At that mont, Su Qing's right hand was wrapped around an empty chain. Big Yellow was gone.

He thought the dog got up on its own after being dragged a bit but hadn't expected to lose an employee on his first day of work.

Under the surprised gaze of the girl, Su Qing got out on the second floor and rushed out.

"He's not...not a pervert, wow, that scared ."
