Li Fan’s clone stared intently at the eerie mirror not far away.
“Not only does it look similar, but even its aura…”
Possessing a trace of the Tianxuan Mirror’s origin, Li Fan was extrely familiar with the Tianxuan Mirror. Yet, the strange small mirror before him felt like a twin brother to the Tianxuan Mirror! Li Fan’s mind trembled, his thoughts racing.
“The Tianxuan Mirror, once called the Xuantian Mirror, was obtained by King Xuantian during the Xuantian Sect era from an Ascension Passage, a relic of the Immortal Realm. So what is this mirror before ?”
In that mont, Li Fan was seized by an urge to step forward and investigate. But after a mont’s consideration, he restrained himself. This black Tianxuan Mirror gave him an inexplicable sense of unease. Li Fan decided to observe quietly for now.
Drip, drip, drip—the blood falling onto the mirror’s surface continued unabated. Sun Luyuan’s face had grown pale, yet he showed no sign of stopping. Li Fan even noticed fear in his eyes and a slight tremble in his arm, as if he were trying to pull it back but was sohow unable to control his actions.
It wasn’t until the mirror emitted a strange fluctuation, its black light receding, that Sun Luyuan collapsed to the ground, utterly exhausted. He swallowed several pills and, after so ditation, his complexion returned to normal.
Sun Luyuan gazed at the small mirror, now faintly glowing with an eerie light, a mix of greed and fear flashing in his eyes. It was unclear what thoughts ran through his mind.
After a long pause, his rigid body began to move again. He took out another small mirror from his robes and adjusted its angle to face the black mirror. This new mirror was, of course, the Tianxuan Mirror.
Li Fan clearly saw strands of green light being drawn from the Tianxuan Mirror’s surface, surging into the black mirror. After absorbing the essence of the Tianxuan Mirror, the black mirror seed to grow even more akin to it.
Sun Luyuan appeared to be timing the process. After a while, as the black mirror continued its devouring, his expression shifted. He hurriedly ford hand seals to retrieve the Tianxuan Mirror. But the black mirror, ravenous in its feast, was unwilling to let go.
A sudden burst of black mist erged from the mirror’s surface, coalescing into a humanoid figure that roared at Sun Luyuan, “It’s not enough! I need to consu more!”
A powerful surge of energy erupted from the black mirror’s figure, like a storm sweeping through the secret chamber. Sun Luyuan gritted his teeth, stubbornly retracting the Tianxuan Mirror while addressing the black mirror’s figure, “Little brother, control your instincts! Devouring too quickly will alert the Tianxuan Mirror, and all our efforts will be ruined!”
Upon hearing Sun Luyuan’s words, the black mirror’s figure seed to regain a sliver of rationality. Its form flickered, as if struggling against itself. After a prolonged battle, it finally suppressed its inner desires.
“Brother, it’s too painful…”
“Brother, I can’t hold on.”
“Brother, let out!”
Crying, pleading, hatred—various emotions flickered across the black mirror’s figure. Yet, no matter its deanor, every sentence began with the word “Brother.”
Sun Luyuan, tornted by these cries, could only close his eyes and once again offer his own essence blood to quell the figure’s resentnt. With the infusion of blood, the black mirror grew calm again.
Sun Luyuan, as if relieved of a great burden, collapsed to the ground, entirely lacking the deanor of a Dao Integration powerhouse. It took him half a day to recover.
Standing before the black mirror again, he muttered incantations. Under his control, a radiant light blood from the black mirror, filled with countless flickering symbols and images. Sun Luyuan watched with rapt attention, as if afraid to miss a single detail.
The images grew dimr until they finally vanished. Sun Luyuan reluctantly withdrew his gaze.
“This harvest is enough for our Sun family to overco this crisis,” he murmured. “Once Lu’er erges from the Guardian Hall and takes a key position in the Ten Thousand Immortal Alliance, with four Dao Integration cultivators, our Sun family will truly stand firm.”
Li Fan’s divine sense spirit, having observed the entire process, pieced together so clues. “Not a peerless immortal artifact? But rather, a human soul used as a foundation, employing so secret technique to erode the Tianxuan Mirror, thereby gaining access to vast amounts of information unattainable by ordinary ans?”
“Even if it’s not an immortal artifact, infiltrating the Tianxuan Mirror is no small feat.”
Li Fan glanced at Sun Luyuan, who appeared greatly weakened. While recuperating, Sun seed to be ntally digesting the information just obtained from the black mirror.
“With just one of my clones, trying to subdue him…” Li Fan mused. “I’m not entirely confident, especially with that eerie black mirror by his side.”
After careful consideration, Li Fan’s divine sense spirit chose not to act imdiately.
Instead, he decided to lie low for the ti being.
He would wait until Sun Luyuan and the Black Mirror parted ways before slowly devising a plan.
Seven days passed.
When Sun Luyuan opened his eyes, the first thing he did was to swiftly form hand seals, temporarily sealing the Black Mirror in the secret chamber.
Sensing Sun Luyuan’s actions, the misty human figure within the Black Mirror struggled to erge.
Yet it was firmly confined within the mirror’s surface, unable to break free.
After the disturbance subsided, Sun Luyuan let out a sigh of relief.
He deactivated the nurous restrictions and left the secret chamber.
Monts later.
Li Fan’s spirit quietly approached the Black Mirror.
“The material of this mirror’s body…”
“It doesn’t seem to be a creation of the Xuanhuang Realm.”
“It appears the speculation that it’s an immortal artifact isn’t entirely wrong.”
“However, the original power of the immortal path has long vanished, leaving only an empty shell occupied by that figure.”
With Li Fan’s current knowledge, careful observation yielded so discoveries.
To verify his hypothesis, the spirit fragnt began studying the seal Sun Luyuan had left behind.
“Hmm? It bears so resemblance to an Immortal-grade formation. But it’s far too crude.”
The main body employed the Final Dissociation Disc for support, and in no ti, the seal was cracked.
However, Li Fan’s divine sense spirit did not imdiately destroy the seal. Instead, he began modifying it based on its foundation.
“Brother, why are you back so soon?”
“Did you run into another problem? Heh heh heh…”
A sowhat deranged voice echoed from the Black Mirror.
Li Fan ignored it completely, continuing to refine the formation seal.
The shadowy figure rambled on for a while before finally sensing sothing amiss.
“You’re not Brother?”
“Who are you?”
The voice was filled with anger and panic.
“You filthy thing, stay away from !”
The shadow scread, and the Black Mirror trembled violently in response.
“Noisy!” Li Fan snorted coldly.
A silver bolt of lightning materialized from the void, striking the Black Mirror fiercely.
The mirror’s body, made of so unknown material, showed a trace of scorching.
The shadow’s screams were cut off with a wail.
After a mont of silence, the shadow seed to recover.
“You…”
It was about to flare up again, but another bolt of lightning greeted it.
