If that thing started flying...
Just thinking about it made Qin Fang’s face twitch.
...When the first of his Darts was deflected and the creature flapped its wings, his heart had nearly leaped out of his throat!
What a damn thrill...
But he soon let out a soft breath. Gazing at the Giant Bee on the table, he began to consider his next move.
The Treasure Plant was out of the question for now; he wouldn’t be going back into that cave anyti soon.
But this Giant Bee was a miraculous creature through and through. He would be deeply dissatisfied if he couldn’t gain any benefit from it!
’...The fact that I could lure it out with the Pig King at ans my previous speculation was most likely correct. In other words, the Pig King at very likely mutated because of the Bee Venom...’
This point wasn’t actually hard to figure out.
He had sared the Pig King at with honey, pig’s blood, and what not.
But what was the first thing the Giant Bee did when it was drawn in?
It attacked!
If it had truly been attracted by the scent of food like honey or pig’s blood, shouldn’t its first reaction have been to approach and tentatively try to ’eat’ it?
But it attacked.
Then there was only one possibility...
It wasn’t the scent of any food that had attracted it.
It was the Bee Venom pheromones!
...The body of the Pig King, dead for over two months and even cured into salted at, must have retained a large amount of Bee Venom pheromones!
In that case, Qin Fang’s earlier speculation was very likely correct.
...Perhaps the specific details were different, but the probability that the Wild Boar King had been attacked by Giant Bees in its lifeti and managed to survive was now significantly higher.
This also ant a much higher chance that its mutation was caused by the Bee Venom... or rather, by a trace of the Treasure Plant’s dicinal power contained within the Bee Venom.
Qin Fang didn’t dare to provoke the other Giant Bees for the ti being.
But he already had a bit of Bee Venom on hand...
He looked at the Giant Bee on the table, thought for a mont, then suddenly stood up. After carefully putting the creature away, he went out.
It was currently afternoon and still early. He wandered around the market for a bit but ended up frowning slightly before finally heading to Xu ng’s place.
When he told Xu ng his purpose, Xu ng was a bit dumbfounded.
"Brother Qin, are you saying... you want to buy a live pig?"
Qin Fang nodded.
Xu ng was perplexed, never having expected Qin Fang to make such a request.
But after a mont’s thought, he didn’t ask any further questions. He just nodded and said, "No problem. It’s too late today, but I’ll get them for you tomorrow... How big do you want them?"
Qin Fang thought for a mont and said, "Let’s get one large and one small."
Xu ng: "..."
"Alright, no problem."
He finally nodded and, after a brief hesitation, asked, "Should I have soone build a pigpen for you?"
Xu ng’s question actually took Qin Fang by surprise for a second. After thinking it over, he nodded. "Then I’ll have to trouble Brother Xu to arrange it."
Xu ng said with a smile, "What’s the trouble? You head back first. I’ll send so people over in a little while."
Qin Fang nodded.
His idea was simple...
Since the Wild Boar King could withstand the bee’s venom, Qin Fang planned to replicate the process.
...He wanted to see if he could artificially raise a ’Wild Boar King’ himself.
If he could...
His eyes narrowed slightly.
Then his cultivation speed would be guaranteed.
...Only then would the Treasure in that cave have any real aning for him.
Otherwise, it would be like entering a mountain of treasures only to return empty-handed.
That was sothing Qin Fang simply couldn’t accept.
Soon, a few artisans arrived. They marked out an area in Qin Fang’s backyard and began to build.
It wasn’t very complicated. It was like putting up a fence, using thick logs to form an enclosure to keep the pigs from running wild...
With enough hands, the job was done in a few hours.
Early the next morning, mbers of the Fish Dragon Gang delivered two dostic pigs, one large and one small.
When he asked about the price, the Fish Dragon Gang mber laughed and said, "Master Qin, you must be joking. It’s just two pigs. How could we possibly take your money for that?"
Qin Fang thought for a mont, but ultimately didn’t insist. He simply nodded.
The Fish Dragon Gang mbers helped move the pigs into the pen and then took their leave.
Qin Fang first took a look at the two pigs, one large and one small...
They were called dostic pigs, but in this World, dostic pigs were the exact sa breed as wild boars, with no difference at all.
The only difference was... dostic pigs were usually castrated, while wild boars were not.
Castrated pigs had a more docile temperant, their at was more succulent, they fattened up more easily, and when males and females were raised together, there were no accidental pregnancies...
After checking on the pigs, Qin Fang returned to his room. He erged a short while later, his hand wrapped in several thick layers of leather, pinching the tail of the Giant Bee. He then walked over to the pigpen.
Despite the unfamiliar surroundings, the two pigs didn’t seem overly panicked. Their snouts twitched and snuffled nonstop as they familiarized themselves with the new environnt... They really were docile.
But Qin Fang couldn’t care less whether they were docile or not. He walked over, gripped the stinger, and plunged it directly into the large pig’s rump.
The large pig instantly shrieked in pain and began to struggle violently.
But Qin Fang’s eyes and hands were quick. He pressed down on the pig’s neck with his left hand and suddenly exerted his strength...
In an instant, a force of over a thousand jin pressed down on it.
The pig, which weighed at least a hundred jin, was pinned firmly to the ground, unable to break free no matter how much it struggled.
Qin Fang’s expression was calm. With his leather-wrapped hand, he even gave the approximate location of the Poison Gland a squeeze.
But after just two or three seconds, he suddenly felt the struggling force beneath his hand vanish, and the pitiful squeals ca to an abrupt halt.
Qin Fang’s heart skipped a beat. He looked down and...
...saw that the pig’s eyes had rolled back, its limbs were twitching, and it was showing clear signs of being poisoned...
Qin Fang sucked in a sharp breath.
’Is this poison really that vicious? And it works this fast?’
