He quickly took out his jade pendant and handed it to them, but instead of taking it, the two n watched as a light shot from a Copper Mirror hanging above the city gate, landing on another mirror, which then displayed a white light.
The two guards, upon seeing this white light, imdiately looked at him with changed expressions, filled with disdain: “Please wait here for a mont.”
Cao Zhen was stunned: “What? Not letting enter the city?”
He hadn’t done anything to deserve this treatnt, especially when he had just seen others walk into the city.
“You’ll know soon enough,” one guard replied, not addressing Cao Zhen further.
A mont later, a figure flew out from the city and ca to stand before Cao Zhen.
Seeing the approaching figure, Cao Zhen was surprised. This person looked thin and was wearing a gaudy robe, like soone performing in an opera. Yet, the aura they emanated was much stronger than his.

Though curious, he didn’t ask further, instead sporting a strange smile, “You’ve been in the Outer Heaven Battlefield for a hundred years, haven’t you? But there’s no record on your jade pendant.
You must have found sowhere to cultivate for a hundred years and now that ti’s up, you’re ready to leave the Outer Heaven Battlefield.
That’s not acceptable. You were sent to the Outer Heaven Battlefield to kill the alien races, not for cultivation.
So, you’re not allowed to leave. You need to do sothing before you’re allowed to leave the Outer Heaven Battlefield.”
