It doesn’t seem like asthma either.

Zhou Can frowned, lost in thought, unsure of what ailnt the old lady had. Could it be a cerebral hemorrhage?

But the patient’s blood pressure was quite normal. Even if there was an existing cerebral aneurysm, it shouldn’t rupture with just a minor stimulus. Moreover, the human body isn’t as fragile as imagined.

At this ti, other doctors and nurses from the Pediatric departnt arrived one after another to provide support.

When a patient needs resuscitation, dical staff often work as one. It’s almost the sa no matter the departnt.

There is only one exception.

Rescuing the patient involves significant risk.

For instance, there might be a chance of being extorted by the family, or the patient might be difficult to deal with, or even exhibit troubleso behaviors before needing resuscitation.

Doctors and nurses are human too. Knowing that initiating a rescue might lead to big trouble, they will try to avoid potential risks and consider the situation carefully.

It’s unrealistic to hold dical staff to the standards of a saint.

"Dr. Zhou, do you know what illness she has?"

"I don’t know! She ntioned having hypertension before fainting but claid to be taking her dication on ti. I asured her blood pressure, and it was normal. Her heart rate is a bit fast, but otherwise, she’s okay. She felt unwell after hearing about her granddaughter’s serious condition. She said she felt weak, had a headache, and chest tightness. Also, before she fainted, she was sweating cold."

Zhou Can couldn’t imdiately determine the cause of the woman’s illness, so he narrated the patient’s symptoms and the course of the illness.

"Director Yan is here, let Director Yan have a look!"

In situations where patients need urgent resuscitation, the weight and prestige of a top expert beco more significant.

Because when it’s impossible to quickly find out the cause of the patient’s illness, naturally, targeted treatnt can’t be implented. Many fatal diseases, even if tily intervention is delayed by just a second, can sotis be rescued.

Director Yan approached, leaned down, and listened to the patient’s breathing, observed her mouth and nose, and finally lifted her eyelids for a look.

"Her breathing looks alarming but isn’t life-threatening. I felt a bit of warmth on her forehead; did you asure her temperature?"

A top expert indeed stands out.

Her presence alone, with the natural strong aura and composure, was enough to stabilize the scene, ensuring the dical staff present felt reassured.

"We haven’t asured the temperature yet!"

Zhou Can had only thought of eliminating the two highest-risk conditions, hypertension and heart disease, and hadn’t considered asuring the temperature.

A quick-thinking nurse had already inserted a thermoter into the patient’s armpit.

During this ti, Director Yan began to inquire about the patient’s course of the illness from Zhou Can.

After listening, she calmly said, "There shouldn’t be much danger. I noticed her eyes are a bit red and swollen, as if she’s been crying a lot, possibly from exhaustion, combined with her age, and anxiety over her granddaughter’s illness. Being stimulated by news of her granddaughter’s serious condition, triggered abnormal nerve discharges, leading to her fainting."

Upon hearing Director Yan’s reasoning, the other doctors nodded repeatedly.

This explanation indeed matches reality very well and aligns with dical logic.

Additionally, Director Yan had always been highly respected and skilled in Pediatric dicine, with diagnostic experience that goes without saying.

"Is the temperature asured?"

Director Yan looked towards the nurse, who was taking the temperature.

She was used to the admiration directed her way and the unanimous support for her diagnostic opinions in situations like these, so her expression didn’t change much.

"37.3, it seems a bit like a low-grade fever," the nurse replied after checking the temperature.

37.1 degrees is considered a low-grade fever. Just exceeding by 0.2 degrees, in clinical practice, doctors assess according to the patient’s overall syndro and most commonly view it as normal temperature.

"It should be consistent with my diagnosis; it’s rely a reaction to stimulation, causing abnormal nerve discharges. Upon being startled, the rapid heart rate is quite normal. Allow the patient to rest for a while, and she should recover soon."

After understanding the patient’s temperature, Director Yan provided her diagnostic conclusion.

"Maybe... this elderly lady is also sick."

Zhou Can, frowning in deep thought, seed to grasp sothing but wasn’t completely sure.

It wasn’t until the nurse announced the patient’s temperature that he realized the patient’s temperature could truly indicate a low-grade fever.

"Why do you think so, Dr. Zhou?"

Director Yan’s conclusion was challenged by Zhou Can shortly thereafter, which could be seen as a counter to her judgnt.

However, she wasn’t angry.

Instead, she wanted to hear Zhou Can’s refutation basis.

"Because the old lady’s granddaughter exhibits similar symptoms like fever and chest tightness. They live together, share their daily lives, and have many overlapping symptoms. I believe it might be an infectious disease."

Zhou Can’s diagnostic thought was becoming clearer.

"Yes, precisely! Grandmother and granddaughter might have the sa illness."

After hearing Zhou Can’s judgnt, a doctor hastily said, "Headaches, fever, such infectious diseases aren’t very common. Could it be the flu?"

"We can essentially rule out the flu! The little girl’s symptoms are highly similar to those of a flu, but blood and urine tests indicate it’s not the flu." Zhou Can stated his own judgnt.

If the illness were that easy to diagnose, he would’ve already figured it out.

"White blood cells and platelets are so low? And her urine protein shows 4 , could it be Nephrotic Syndro?" Director Yan, reviewing the little girl’s test results, first suspected the girl of having kidney disease.
