Li Rui looked at the sea shimring with specks of phosphorescence in the sunlight.
"So, what’s the plan? You can’t keep , the person involved, in the dark, can you?"
Ling Zixiao thought for a mont and said, "It’s not that we can’t tell you."
"From all these days of engagents with the adversary, we’ve discovered so patterns. Even that divine seer has miscalculations when it cos to certain targets."
"Like you, Simon, and so others who share so common traits."
Li Rui had so guesses in his heart: "Are you saying it’s related to the Upper Realm?"
"That’s correct."
Ling Zixiao said, "Of course, it’s not just the two of you, nor does everyone have the Four of Five Thunder like you do. Among those people, so have acquired one or two pieces of equipnt associated with the Upper Realm, so have extrely rare professions, which now appear to be related to the Upper Realm."
"The good news is, all of you are elites, so now, they, like you, are waiting in different places. Once they receive the order, they need to move, and the sa goes for you."
Upon hearing this, Li Rui finally cald down; having a plan was always reassuring.
anwhile, things were anything but calm at a military base in the Western Kingdom.
"Ah—"
"Roar—"
"Let out!!"
Roger Simon had smashed everything in the room to pieces. This process had lasted for almost an hour, yet nobody ca to stop him.
Because it was just a regular dormitory, and the iron door hadn’t been specially reinforced. If he wanted to, with Simon’s physical strength, he could shatter it with just a slap.
But he didn’t, indicating that this hothead still retained so sanity.
After venting his excess energy, Simon finally quieted down. The door to the room was finally opened, and the Western Kingdom’s chief Prophet, Jilei Eng, walked in.
"What are you so anxious about?"
This blond man stood at the doorway, coldly asking.
Simon wasn’t soone to be intimidated by a cold deanor; he glanced at the newcor sideways, "Of course, I’m anxious to turn those scumbags into at pies."
"Haven’t I told you there will be a chance for you to step into the scene?"
"I want it now."
"Now is not possible."
"Why not? I’ve already acquired the complete power of the ancestors."
"Complete power of the ancestors?"
Jilei Eng chuckled disdainfully, "What you have is not even as good as that Li Rui from Dragon Country. He’s waiting patiently; what are you in such a hurry for?"
In the Western Kingdom, his status was equally exalted as Ling Zixiao’s, so he didn’t need to give Simon any face. Even if this kid did beco the bureau chief in the future, he had to rely on this grand Prophet.
Moreover, he was inherently arrogant, disinclined to explain much, which resulted in him never being able to calm Simon down over the past days.
What surprised Jilei Eng was when he disparaged Simon by ntioning Li Rui, using this person for comparison, the brainless guy instead quieted down.
"Really? Then you can leave." Simon even managed a grin.
"What, have you given up? I an, on that Dragon Country man." Jilei Eng said with so curiosity.
"Yeah." Simon shrugged, even picking up the uneaten hamburger from the corner of the room.
Apparently, he hadn’t been dumb enough to smash everything.
"It’s truly surprising. You never took those veteran mbers of the Anomaly Bureau seriously; among them are people stronger than Li Rui. Why are you unyielding towards them but show respect to this young guy..."
While stuffing food into his mouth, Simon said, "I have no interest in those old folks because, sooner or later, I will surpass them. I admire Li Rui because after fighting him once, I know that I’ll never be able to surpass him."
"Heh."
Jilei Eng found this notion interesting. He stood up and opened the door, "If you’ve co to terms, then I’m allowing you to freely move around the base, but don’t go wandering."
Bang.
The door closed.
...
While those holding the trump cards remain stationed worldwide upon receiving orders, the battles in the chaotic lands continue.
The ordinary people who had the chance to evacuate had long fled; those without the chance had no need to anymore.
Now, those cities have already been engulfed in flas, bombarded by Secret Realm World’s spells and human-made missiles.
Daily, different individuals enter the combat zones; so are carried out, and so never make it out.
Song Yao was in the defense zones between the chaotic lands and the southern nations, accompanied by many Superpower Division experts from Dragon Country along the sa line. Their goal was to intercept Hidden Sect mbers who had initially infiltrated the south intending to assassinate multiple Prophets and Li Rui.
Upon receiving the news of the enemy attack, they imdiately took action, deliberately creating an opening to lure the enemy in and trap them inside.
The plan had a slight hiccup because the adversary’s divine seer surpassed the abilities of many Prophets from various nations, detecting the retreating fleet’s whereabouts.
Upon hearing this news, Song Yao and his team broke into a cold sweat, initially thinking that since the fleet comprised of Prophets and lacked powerful individuals, it could disrupt causality and be less likely detected, but sothing went wrong.
Fortunately, Li Rui woke up in ti, thwarting the seer’s calculations.
From that point on, everyone was more convinced that the deeper the involvent with the Upper Realm, the less likely it was to be predicted.
Without any concerns, the Extraordinary mbers from various countries began to surround the Hidden Sect mbers.
As a top-notch expert, Song Yao’s duty was to intercept similarly skilled individuals within a defined area, particularly those adept in escape techniques.
At this mont, he stood atop a hundred-ter-high statue, the landmark of this southern tourist country.
The reason for being there was sensing the aura of escape technique; the adversary also noticed him and imdiately halted, trying to hide, not wanting to be caught off guard and fall into a passive state.
The local residents had long been evacuated, and now, aside from distant occasional rumbles, there was no sound nearby.
The standoff between the two sides lasted a long ti; finally, a leak of aura triggered an intense battle. In just an instant, the hundred-ter statue was sliced in half.
Before the statue’s upper half hit the ground, it seed as though an invisible blender had cut everything within the circular area into fragnts.
Once the attack ended, Xue Can walked out wielding a sword, surveying the surroundings, finding no signs of life before preparing to escape.
Suddenly, however, an intense killing intent enveloped him from above.
Song Yao appeared suspending a few ters above him in mid-air.
Boom!
The already shattered ground shattered once again.
