"What do you an I can’t co here?" Victor remained calm despite being drenched by the rain, his clothes completely soaked.
"After everything you’ve done?" Lily shouted again.
"What have I done? I rely removed an agreent arranged by the older generation." Victor shook his head and stepped into the pavilion.
Lily wanted to stop him, but there had been no such order from Alexandra.
She couldn’t respond when he questioned her.
Naturally, she couldn’t stop Victor either.
Everyone grew restless as Victor entered the pavilion.
After breaking off the engagent, why would he still co to see Alexandra?
As soon as he reached the second floor, Victor saw the woman sitting by the window, her gaze distant and empty.
Victor sat in front of her, but she still didn’t look at him.
"Have you been crying?" Victor asked with a faintly teasing expression.
"Why have you co back here, Young Master Russell?" she finally looked at him and asked in a formal tone.
"If you see as a woman to be toyed with, then yes—I’ve been toyed with by you. I hope you’re satisfied now. Please stop."
"Do you really feel that hurt?" Victor tried to touch her face, but her hand swiftly blocked his.
"Young Master Russell, please behave properly," she said.
"So you don’t want to be touched anymore? You used to enjoy it quite a lot."
Alexandra responded by forcefully pushing his hand away.
If Victor hadn’t steadied himself, both he and his chair would have fallen.
She was clearly very strong as well.
Victor stood up, then suddenly pulled her into his arms. She was too surprised to stop him in ti.
"What are you doing?" she tried to push him away, but physically, Victor had the advantage—unless she used her full power.
"Are you just sulking, or do you truly not want anymore?" Victor asked.
"Who was the one who threw away that promise?" Alexandra replied coldly.
"I did want to get rid of it. Who would’ve thought Lady Jade Sovereign would give a chance to receive her guidance if I did? How could I refuse?"
"What are you trying to say?" Alexandra seed confused.
"What I an is—don’t you want a real relationship?" Victor gently touched her face this ti.
"Not because of an engagent arranged by our parents, but because you and I genuinely like each other. If we say we like each other, then who could claim I was being unfair or forcing you into sothing you didn’t want? Of course... it all depends on you—whether you truly like ."
After saying that, Victor leaned in and kissed her.
There was no rejection.
She didn’t resist, and his explanation had already cald her emotions.
In the end... she still wanted him.
And Victor still needed her—whether for desire or for his future plans.
Though shy at first, Alexandra slowly responded, her hand hesitantly resting against his chest.
Victor wrapped an arm around her waist and carried her up to the third floor—to a spacious bedroom with a large, soft bed.
Victor pushed the woman onto the bed, pinned her down, and undressed her again.
It didn’t take long before her moans echoed beautifully, growing louder as ti went on.
No one knew what was happening inside the quiet pavilion.
The pavilion itself was Alexandra’s private treasure, left behind by her father.
Even soone like Lady Jade Sovereign couldn’t peer inside or break through it.
It was a high-level defensive artifact.
Outside, many students grew curious about what Victor was doing.
They didn’t mind standing in the rain just to wait for him to co out.
Even Lily was confused.
She stood on the first floor, staring at the stairs.
One hour passed—Victor still hadn’t co down.
She felt the urge to go up, but didn’t dare.
Two hours—still nothing.
By then, everything inside had already settled.
Victor lay on the bed, holding Alexandra as she buried her face in his chest.
She didn’t seem to want to speak—perhaps out of embarrassnt.
After all her anger, she had fallen back into his arms so easily.
She didn’t know whether this was another one of Victor’s gas, but sohow, she had lost all reason—no longer caring even if she was being played.
Victor wanted to ask about a place to train the Technique.
But seeing that she remained silent, he decided to sleep first.
By morning, Victor finally left the pavilion, already dressed in fresh clothes.
Lily, who had been picking fruit, quickly returned.
"You—!" she pointed at him with a trembling hand.
But Victor couldn’t be bothered to respond.
He simply walked away.
The news spread like wildfire.
Everyone soon learned that Victor had spent the night in Alexandra’s pavilion.
Was it just on the first floor?
Just a normal eting between fellow students?
No one believed that.
After all, Lily had been going in and out anxiously the whole ti.
That alone made it clear—no one else had been inside.
"Boy, what exactly did you just do?" Lady Jade Sovereign suddenly appeared in front of Victor not long after.
"What did I just do?" Victor pretended to be confused.
"Didn’t you already break off your engagent with Alexandra? Why did you still go to her residence?" she demanded.
"You should know this—the Holy Light Sect has already formalized your claim. There’s no longer any bond between you."
"Does not having an engagent an I can’t et Alexandra?" Victor replied calmly.
"That wasn’t part of our agreent, was it?"
"You—!"
"What if we actually like each other?" Victor asked.
"That’s impossible."
"That’s the truth. Alexandra didn’t reject . Without an arranged engagent, she accepted of her own will. We’ve started a genuine relationship—without arrangent or coercion from anyone."
Victor didn’t bother hiding it.
The surrounding students gasped.
Lady Jade Sovereign’s face turned red with anger.
She stared at Victor sharply.
"Lady, unless you intend to ruin your reputation by breaking your promise?" Victor smiled before continuing on his way.
He wanted to focus on understanding the Emotion Eater Technique as soon as possible.
