After the surroundings quieted down, Tang Xin breathed a sigh of relief. She judged correctly; the red drapes could block these Siren cocoons' sight, as they had no cognitive abilities.
Half a minute later, noises ca from downstairs. Tang Xin lifted a corner of the drape, which allowed her to see the scene below. The gunfire flickered intermittently, and she saw a Siren cocoon split open half of its chest, crushing a rmaid Town resident's head. A misfiring gun shattered the brains or heart of a comrade beside it, and the chandelier on the ceiling burst into sparks.
These deranged townspeople felt no pain, nor did they wail. They only used their weapons to savagely smash the Siren cocoons in front of them, viewing anything that hindered them as an enemy. Apart from the gunshots, there were only the sounds of cold weapons piercing flesh and the sounds of collisions as the monsters bit into each other silently, reminiscent of the purgatory depicted in scriptures where all beings silently accepted their punishnt.
Seeing this chaotic scene, Amy couldn't help but remark, "These monsters even attack their own kind."
Tang Xin shook her head; these Siren cocoons innately hated the Fishman. It was this race that turned them into these half-human, half-ghost forms.
The four of them squeezed under a small red drape and took advantage of the chaos below to move down. The scene was sowhat comical.
The fighting monsters sensed sothing. A rmaid Town resident smashed the skull of a Siren cocoon beneath him with a hoe, then turned to see the red drape sneakily standing in the corner. He tried to move closer out of curiosity but had half his body bitten off by a Siren cocoon pouncing from behind.
The stench of blood splattered onto the drape as they silently watched an eyeball roll to their feet. They continued tiptoeing through the statue gallery on the first floor, realizing the statue of the Siren King they saw earlier had disappeared. The storm poured down through the skylight, occasionally accompanied by cracks of thunder.
The massive damage on the skylight seed sinister and fearso as they moved forward silently. Soon, they reached the exhibition hall, just dozens of ters away from the entrance of the mansion, almost ready to leave.
A foul-slling face suddenly poked out from below, its blood-red eyes fixed on them, the corners of its mouth curling into a bizarre smile as a Fishman noticed them.
The red drapes were pulled open, and the wandering Fishn all turned their eyes over, excited and agitated.
Tang Xin reacted quickly, piercing the eye socket of the Fishman with a sharp ice spear. The latter felt no pain, only stopping as the ice spear penetrated its entire head.
The surrounding Fishn gazed hostilely in their direction, and the monsters upstairs ca rolling down the staircase. Amy and Tang Xin each summoned their weapons, ready to face the inevitable battle.
Soone shouted from outside the door, "Get down!"
Tang Xin pressed everyone down as a fire dragon roared overhead, its golden eyes shimring with molten lava. Seething flas erupted from its mouth, turning all the monsters into ashes.
Tang Xin looked up to see Xu Xiaoyou, flas still flickering in her hand, her radiant blonde hair flowing, while her other hand held a heavy sniper rifle with her combat uniform stained with blood, suggesting the girl had fought her way there.
The two nodded in mutual acknowledgnt as Xu Xiaoyou approached Amy, "It's ti to reveal the matters related to the Siren Miracle."
Xu Xiaoyou's expression was calm, "If you're worried about triggering the miracle prematurely by leaking the knowledge, you needn't be."
"Because this miracle is already known by thousands of people."
Amy hesitated for a mont.
Xu Xiaoyou said, "Rember the story about the Siren Miracle at the beginning of 'Paranormal Explorer'?"
"If knowledge is contagious, then thousands of people at the Star of Art, hundreds of kiloters away, have already been contaminated."
Amy and Tang Xin felt chills run down their spines as they listened.
"Those with ulterior motives, assisted by the show's screenwriters, have exposed all the viewers of this episode to the miracle. Every minute and second, the story of the Siren Miracle is being disseminated across major forums, short videos, and social platforms."
"This ans the scale of this miracle will beco completely uncontrollable."
Amy's face lost its color. She should have realized from the start that the Siren Miracle had been propagated in this manner.
If under such circumstances, the Siren Miracle were to be fully activated...
"Don't tell your companions outside are unaware of this," Xu Xiaoyou said, glancing sideways.
Amy seed disoriented, her lips trembling.
Soon, she steadied herself, "They surely will deduce it, I believe in them."
Having reached this point, Amy decisively disclosed everything she knew about the Siren Miracle.
Upon learning about the seal and the anchor point, Xu Xiaoyou nodded, "If we don't want to perish at the bottom of the sea, we must hurry."
"Amy, Tang Xin, take these two kids back to rmaid Town first and search for the location of the anchor point, while I go find the sealed location."
After explaining the subsequent events, Xu Xiaoyou pulled Tang Xin aside and handed the girl sothing gleaming with golden light, "If faced with danger, you must make a choice."
"Be selfish. Your life is more important than anything else."
"You are truly important to ."
Tang Xin didn't understand why Xu Xiaoyou was telling her this suddenly. Without much explanation, she handed over the artifact to the girl and turned to leave, vanishing back into the rain.
"Let's go too," Tang Xin turned to the three of them.

As dusk deepened, a group of uninvited guests arrived in the town.
A young mber of the Lindong family ran in panic across the street, still wrapped in a towel as he maliciously cursed the world; the rfolk girl who had just spent a pleasant ti with him suddenly went mad, nearly costing him the happiness of the rest of his life.
"Damn it, this race really is full of lunatics."
Water ran down the young man's face as he looked around. His family mbers traveling with him were knocked down by Fishn, repeatedly stabbed in the chest, and he even saw his kin turning into half-ghoulish states, screaming as they pounced on him with the insane Fishn.
He didn't understand why the entire world changed suddenly, why his lovely vacation turned into this. The island's people had gone mad, attacking each other. Did these damned commoners not know he was from the Lindong family?
Seeing several Fishn noticing him and rushing over, he fled forward in a panic, crashing into a solid chest.
He looked up, surprised and delighted to recognize the arrivals as rcenaries. Surely, his family had learned of the island's situation and sent people to save them?
"Damn, why did you bunch of useless bastards take so long to get here? I almost died! Go blow those commoners' heads off, they're just a bunch of hopeless lunatics!"
The young man rambled on, venting his anger, until the black barrel of a gun pressed against his forehead.
"Huh?"
Under the grey sky, sparks flared, red and white splattering.
The Lone Wolf, with a single shot, blew off his head. The surroundings were much quieter. He nodded to his companions behind him, and they understood, advancing tactically and clearing out all the Fishn that approached with precise shots.
A massacre targeting the mbers of the two major families was about to unfold.
