Mountain Crow noticed Yun Que's movents. He was very familiar with this guy, knowing well that the other party was ruthless and spoke little. As long as action was possible, he would never waste words. So he used his eyes to inquire of the woman standing behind them.

The three watched as the soldiers of the entire base were the first to be mobilized, hastily heading to their posts. In less than two minutes, the entire outpost base had entered a pre-battle alert state, everyone alert, a murderous aura spreading through the soldiers.
"These guys, not bad." Mountain Crow said, coming back to his senses.
"They seem to be more cohesive than your Mountain Crow group," Yun Que tossed this statent out and walked forward without looking back.
The direction he was heading was the sa as where Mondeville had left earlier, where they could take the industrial elevator to the command combat platform above.
"Anyway, let's take a look." Thistle Xuedong said.
Mountain Crow shrugged, his hand slowly removing from his bosom. If it weren't for the sudden Insect Race attack, he might have already had the gun muzzle pointed at that major's head, demanding everything be explained thoroughly.
Though, was it his illusion? The Insect Race attack seed too tily?
He didn't think much more, quickly following Yun Que's pace.
With a heavy clang, the industrial elevator doors opened, and the vision beca broad. With them ca a military truck equipped with a close-in weapon system, the prepared soldiers leaped down and quickly ran to the edge of the wall.
The three arrived beside the man, from here they could see the whole battlefield.
A shadow covered the desert, and a 'black line' extending for thousands of ters appeared on the distant horizon. If standing at a higher place gazing, you would find thousands more black shadows swiftly approaching from behind the dunes.
A closer look would reveal those black shadows with broad elytra overlapping on their backs, and a pair of hideous, vicious spider jaws. It was an advance unit of the 'Predator' Insect Race, commonly appearing on battlefields outside cities, dedicated to gathering intelligence and sabotaging outpost facilities, their body's black chitin armor tougher than armor, enough to withstand armor-piercing rounds.
The ground transmitted a dull vibration sensation, the faint sound of wings and screeching from the distance could be heard.
Seeing several soldiers putting on a layer of transparent material combat suits, Mountain Crow lowered the binoculars in his hand: "Hey, you're not planning to confront those bugs head-on, are you?"
The soldiers didn't answer him, rely silently activating the combat suits, an invisible barrier spreading from the core, enveloping their bodies, appearing like a layer of hazy gauze, almost indistinguishable unless closely examined.
Then, those soldiers raised the Blazing Energy Blade of Logic Studio, its blazing red glow rising, humming and roaring.
"This is Dr. Kreif's latest developed combat suit, as for the effect of this suit, I'm sure Patriarch Mountain Crow will see in a mont."

At this mont, his keen insight noticed a shadow squirming under the wall, a Stealth Walker crouched there, its fangs slowly pulsing, a soldier in front completely exposing their vulnerable back neck defenselessly.
The Stealth Walker subtly crept, wings abruptly spreading, its belly's venomous stinger shooting 'whiz' towards the soldier, simultaneously a pair of sharp forelimbs rapidly crossed, intending to cut the soldier's neck!

Just as Mountain Crow thought the soldier was dood, the next mont, sothing surprising happened: the venomous stinger flying towards the soldier suddenly vanished, the forelimbs cutting towards the neck were deflected at a subtle angle upon touching that barrier.

Soon after, the Insect Race army arrived, the base's close-in weapon fire fully unleashed, shells and armor-piercing rounds pouring down, everywhere in sight was green blood splattering. Soldiers charging toward the insect swarms like entering an uninhabited land, bursting through the bombing firepower, diving into the Insect Race interior, the light blades of the Blazing Energy Blades whirling, shredding the Insect Race lines while searching for the Predator team's commander, the screeching resonating within this land.
"This is Dr. Kreif's latest research result, forming an energy barrier on the surface of the user through the core's generator." Mondeville lifted the glowing red Explosive Bomb Cannon, explaining tily.
"Only attacks of specific frequencies can penetrate this barrier, most kinetic energy is absorbed, including but not limited to kinetic energy from stray bullets or blasts. To penetrate this barrier, one must match its frequency."
