Glancing at Yu Lan, who stood silently in the corner of the elevator, and noticing the disheveled appearance of the girl, they rolled their eyes and deliberately elongated their tones.
"There's a watery sll on her, it's really unpleasant."
"Yes, quite rough, too clumsy, the sll never leaves her body no matter how hard she tries to wash it off."
Yu Lan originally didn't want to respond, but hearing that delicate mocking voice growing louder, coupled with her previous frustrations, an inexplicable anger made her speak coldly:
"Saring on so rouge, thinking it adds glamour, sticking oneself to others at a re promise, thinking everything belongs to oneself. To those who don't know, it seems like a delicate flower walked in; to those who know, it's just a corner flower that's blooming."
The delicate faces of the rfolk girls were full of astonishnt; not because they were stunned by the girl's rebuttal, but because they didn't understand what Yu Lan ant.
Yu Lan couldn't be bothered to argue with them further and walked out decisively as soon as the elevator door opened, leaving them dumbfounded until the door closed, no longer able to catch a glimpse of the girl's back.
The vast dance floor was still filled with noisy music, with lights alternating between bright and dim.
"How did it go?" Xiao Xinzhu got up to et Yu Lan as she returned.
"In a few minutes, the Cyan Divine Lion will make an appearance," Yu Lan said.
"What's wrong, Xiaolan, do you have sothing on your mind?" Xiao Xinzhu noticed sothing was off with the girl and asked.
"Just so trivial matters, nothing much, Xinzhu Sis, don't ask."
Xiao Xinzhu opened her mouth, but said nothing.
The two fell into a tacit silence, waiting until a few minutes later when the lighting in the sea venue suddenly went out.
Amidst the commotion, the lights flickered back on, focusing on a poised figure on the stage, the man slowly doffed his hat and bowed to the audience:
"Ladies and gentlen, good evening everyone!"
The man's appearance imdiately drew cheers from the audience, well-dressed girls scread with excitent, raising their arms above their heads as servers considerately popped champagne for them, aiming the bottles upward, causing the liquid to shoot upwards and drench the entire sea venue.
Yu Lan glanced sideways, witnessing the frenzy below, and noticed Lionman security gradually entering from all over the sea venue, creating a secure formation around the periter.
After a bit of self-perceived humorous banter, the man swiftly got to the main point:
"Let's guess, who will be this month's sea venue star with the most 'Lamp Tickets'!"
The crowd at the dance floor shouted in unison, young n and won waved their lamp tickets vigorously, dazzling light quickly flashed across their faces, and pairs of fervent eyes focused on the screen at the center of the stage.
"Has the big man appeared?"
As the scheduled ti approached, yet still no sight of the man, several subordinates noticed sothing was amiss, inquiring with the outer security layer.
"I haven't seen him here."
"Nor do we have sight of him here either."
Usually, during this ti, the big man would appear and sit behind the upper viewing platform; from there, through the floor-to-ceiling windows, one can overlook the entire sea venue. But this ti, behind the stand, only two attendants wearing golden masks stood, clearly unaware of what was happening, silently standing still with trays in their hands.
"Send a few people to check if the big man is in the office, if not, search where he usually stays, and dispatch so to seal all exits of the sea venue, tell guests that routine maintenance is being conducted if queried, and try to pacify them by any ans."
The composed second-in-command of the Lionn imdiately gave orders.
Though unclear about the specifics of what had occurred, intuition led him to make the right imdiate decision.
"Xinzhu Sis, those Lionn are on the move."
Yu Lan observed the surroundings, noting how the security, initially firm in their posts, started moving, so whispering to each other, others nodding slightly, making their way out of the sea venue together.
"It seems like sothing unexpected happened to them."
"They've sealed the venue."
"It's about ti for that Cyan Divine Lion to make its appearance," Yu Lan crossed her arms, internally calculating the ti.
The guests, imrsed in a festive atmosphere, hadn't noticed this; they continued to shout loudly for the sea venue star to take the stage tonight.
The host on stage received an order, and the smile on his face montarily frozen.
He forced a reluctant smile, looking towards the fervent gazes of the crowd below. Clearly, everyone was waiting for the announcent of the sea venue star, dangling these guests at this mont, mishandling things could very well result in him not seeing tomorrow's sun.
It must be said, among these guests are distinguished figures from all walks, not satisfying them might just take one sentence to make him disappear.
"Please calm down, everyone, before unveiling the sea venue star tonight, how about I firstly tell you all two jokes?"
"Who wants to hear your silly jokes, hurry up and let the sea venue star appear!"
"Exactly, boosting you a bit and you take it seriously, who cares about your jokes, quickly let my sweetheart appear!"
"Given you so face now, if you don't let my honey appear now, do you believe I'll ensure you never step onto the stage again?"
"This, this..."
This host didn't demonstrate much professionalism under such circumstances, facing the excited crowd, he panicked, not knowing how to pacify them.
Just as the crowd was getting excited, a voice with a rising intonation rang out from among them.
"Could there be sothing fishy going on?"
The sentence shot through like a fuse igniting a powder keg; the guests, already dissatisfied with the previous months' results, had their emotions skyrocket, the previously fernting feelings erupted at this mont.
"Is it that the results aren't satisfying you, temporarily adjusting the placents?"
"There's indeed sothing fishy!"
"Spent a lot on lamp tickets, only to find there's sothing fishy, no wonder every ti with hundreds of tickets tossed in, my honey is never the sea venue star."
"Indeed there's sothing fishy, indeed there's sothing fishy. Let the sea venue star appear now, let the sea venue star appear right away~!"
The voice with rising intonation didn't mind fueling the fire, joining the crowd in shouting, years of experience made it realize soone was intentionally stirring up trouble.
The host instinctively tried to locate the owner of that voice in the crowd, but faced with their overwhelming fury, he finally had to grit his teeth, indifferent to everything else, signaling the artifact master with his eyes.
As the lights dramatically went out, the excited crowd slowly quieted down, two beams of light crossed the stage, a circle of lights lit up from beneath the screen, gradually illuminating around the edges, dazzling lights frequently flashed at the center of the screen, the voting results rapidly changed, fireworks crackled on both sides.
Just at the mont of announcing the results, an abrupt mutation occurred.
The impending result frad on 'Princess' suddenly altered, brightly colored graffiti sprayed across the screen, at this mont all the lights broke and flickered, in the alternation of light and darkness, a bright red skull laughed mockingly at the center of the screen.
Violent electric lights flickered, rhythmic bright red data streams surged skyward, an invisible crimson wave swept over the venue!
An indescribable fear grew within everyone's hearts, it erged from the deepest recesses of their souls, swept in with the red tide, engulfing them instantly.
A silhouette fell from the ceiling.
Deerman, dressed in formal attire, eyes bulging, head hanging crookedly to one side, a long tie tightly constricted his neck, connected to a coarse rope. The blood vessels on his face protruded in a blue-purple hue, his wide-open eyes full of disbelief, as if he saw sothing terrifying just before death.
Blood slowly flowed down his formal wear, dropping from slightly bent fingertips, following down the hem of his clothes, then dripping onto the stage.
Lionn slowly widened their eyes, soone voicelessly exclaid:
"The big man?"
The audience was struck with horror, Deerman's body suddenly exploded like a party piñata hit by a baseball bat, a dense stream of black-colored spiders poured from his body cascading onto those below, triggering screams and plunging the scene into utter chaos.
A girl's inopportune laughter echoed.
"Hahaha, it's my vote, it's my vote, I cast the sea venue star ~"
