After Black Shark and the others took a brief rest, they resud their retreat.
They hadn’t gone far when they heard gunfire from behind.
"Peng Bird, they’ve caught up," Black Shark muttered, glancing back.
"Their pursuit is faster than we imagined. I wonder how long Ah De can hold them off," Mahavi said with a stern face.
Anyone with a bit of brains could tell that the enemy had remarkable stamina, this pursuit made it evident. At the sa ti, the enemy was experienced, with a keen sense for tracking.
Along the route of Black Shark and his team, so simple covers were set up, but they had little effect. Dozens passing through inevitably left too many clues, so it was no surprise the enemy caught up so quickly.
"The enemy’s tracking skills are impressive, clearly reconnaissance experts. We shouldn’t waste ti on futile cover-ups. A swift retreat is essential," Black Shark said helplessly, "It looks like Ah De won’t be able to hold them off for long."
He was fully aware that Ah De and the others would soon be eliminated, and the enemy would be right on their heels.
"Retreat, as fast as possible," Black Shark urged, a bit anxious.
The group suppressed their fatigue and fled swiftly.

Ye Fan, with six others, engaged in combat with Ah De and his n.
Ah De and his group hadn’t yet found cover for sniping, to perfectly hide themselves.
There simply wasn’t enough ti; the enemy quickly appeared within sight.
Given this unexpected situation, Ah De could only lead his n to hastily scatter and hide.
"Damn it, how did they get here so fast? Do their legs have superhuman endurance?" Ah De muttered.
Regardless, the enemy had arrived—this was the reality.
Ah De understood well the combat strength of the enemy versus their own. Losing to them in stamina was no surprise; the enemy was strong to begin with, so it made sense.
"Bang!" It sounded like a waterlon bursting, as a rcenary beside Ah De got shot in the head, making Ah De shudder involuntarily.
A sniper’s bullet, silent and deadly, tore through the rcenary’s head, ending the soldier’s life.
"Stay hidden, don’t expose yourselves. Attack only when the enemy is close," Ah De, having secured himself, yelled orders to those nearby.
Soon, the enemy exposed themselves, triggering the rcenaries’ attacks. However, as soon as they appeared, they were shot dead in an instant.
"Damn, damn," Ah De cursed incessantly, watching as the seemingly easy-to-resolve adversary brushed off the rcenary onslaught. His heart filled with regret. He recognized the man who drew the rcenaries’ fire—his ears had been shot off by this man, an unforgettable figure.
"How is he so fast? Is he even human? Bullets just graze past him without hitting," Ah De muttered, trembling with fear as he watched Ye Fan, his heart filled with bitterness.
Two, three, four...
Watching as ten people around him fell one after another, his power dwindling, his face turned gray as ash.
"Ceasefire, ceasefire," Ah De shouted, "We can’t hit this man. Focus all firepower on him alone, ignore the enemies in the distance, lock onto this one target."
Ah De, disregarding everything else, decided there’s no point in engaging the distant enemies they couldn’t defeat.
They could only deal with Ye Fan now. If their deaths could harm or eliminate Ye Fan, it would be worth it.
He didn’t care about buying ti anymore. His sole thought was to take down Ye Fan, the man who cost him his ears.
They couldn’t delay much longer given the current circumstances.
Ah De’s one thought was to take a gamble; better to fight to the death than be picked off one by one.
After taking a deep breath, Ah De commanded, "On my command—one, two, three, attack."
With Ah De’s order, he and four others stood straight up, ignoring the threat from distant snipers. They aid all guns at Ye Fan’s position, bullets roaring towards him.
In an instant, bullets flew wildly.
Ye Fan, sensing danger, moved into evasive action as soon as he saw figures erge.
Bullets whizzed overhead.
"Tat-tat-tat!!!"
The barrage of bullets thundered for a mont, then silence fell.
The grass around Ye Fan was uprooted, tree branches shot through.
All around, silence fell. This was because Ah De’s group had been hit by bullets. Zhang Lu and others from a distance seized the perfect opportunity, as the targets revealed themselves, angered bullets roared from their barrels.
Ah De’s group of five was completely eliminated.
Their bodies fell to the ground in unison.
Ye Fan and Zhang Lu stood in the spot where Ah De and his n fell. After confirming no more enemies remained, they breathed a sigh of relief.
"About thirty enemies fled, we’ve now killed eleven. That leaves around twenty." Ye Fan glanced around the forest and sternly instructed, "Let’s press the attack and pursue quickly. We must not give Black Shark and the others a chance to breathe, or to escape."
With the situation now clear, it’s ti to strike hard, not sparing any of Black Shark’s group.
Of course, the main target is Black Shark; the others don’t matter as much.
"This forest spans a vast area. Black Shark can’t get out, not without two days at least," Zhang Lu said confidently. "So we can wipe out the enemy with little effort."
"Before eliminating the enemy, we can’t be careless. If Black Shark gets reinforcents, taking him down will be harder. We’ve barely dispatched his n; we can’t let him slip away," Ye Fan cautioned calmly.
"Qin Yi and the others have already taken the bodies back. There’s nothing else to worry about," Yang Shu said. "We should focus all efforts on taking out Black Shark to prevent any surprises. He must be sniped."
"Pursue, our strength is still sufficient. Their stamina is likely depleted; it’s close to breaking point. Quickly catch up and end it," Ye Fan ordered, and the seven resud their chase.
