A three-speed power rocket hamr?
What sort of Wolf People black technology is this!!!_2 This is beyond words for them, a race that has already co close to extinction.
“I am willing, my giant snake friends, but now is not the ti.”
Murphy shook his head.
He did not know whether the giant snakes could understand, but he still explained:
“War is coming!
The war between humans and the Wolf People could likely involve you as well, and choosing to hatch offspring at this ti is not a good choice, as it ans you will spend a great deal of energy protecting the young.
But I promise you, once there are signs of the end of the war, I will imdiately proceed with the hatching of the millennium egg.”
At this, the giant snakes seed sowhat disappointed but in front of the example set by Little Cardinna, they chose to trust the curator’s promise, and then they, full of dignity under Oru’s hissing, took the snake babies to familiarize themselves with the whole swamp ecosystem.
Oru itself led Murphy and his companions in another direction.
It moved extrely fast in the mud, reaching in less than ten minutes the end under the mountain body extending out from the Dark Mountain Range in the Swamp Forbidden Area, which is also the end of the Polluted Swamp, requiring a passage through the entirety of Area A.
But in the past, this was almost impossible, so it can be determined that Murphy and others are the first outsiders to enter this area after the fourth Black Disaster.
“Awoo!”
Oru’s nimble big head pointed in the direction shrouded in mist under the mountain body, its hiss seed to say “the token of thanks is right there,” and then without staying long as if it loathed sothing there, it bowed to Murphy and Triss again to express gratitude, then turned around and vanished into the surrounding swamp mist.
Clearly, the giant snake is averse to sothing existing here, even unwilling to stay here too long.
This, however, piqued Murphy’s curiosity to the fullest.
He, along with Triss and Maxim, imdiately traversed through the mist to reach the mountain base, with He Lu following closely.
They discovered a large concealed cavern that did not completely seem naturally ford, showing obvious traces of artificial quarrying.
When Maxim, his hands on the Black Blade, stepped inside, he quickly spotted the “previous master” of the cavern.
“It’s the Wolf People!
Master Murphy.”
Maxim drew out the Black Blade, sternly warning:
“And they are all Elite Jackal n from the Dark Mountain Range, nurous but all dead.”
“This is undoubtedly the Hunting Guard Corps of the King of Bone Biting.”
Triss made the judgnt imdiately upon seeing the Wolf People lying all around the cave, souls long returned to the Netherworld due to the passage of ti, likely because the “clan armor” distinctive on these Wolf People proved their identities.
Although not everyone sported extravagant plate armors, each of these Wolf People were heavily ard and uniformly styled, sothing obviously beyond the ans of ordinary Wolf People warlords.
“The number is around 500, consistent with the records of the fourth Black Disaster.”
He Lu launched a special Reconnaissance Magic, casting an unstable orb of Spiritual Energy deep into the cavern, and then using the shockwave from the Spiritual Energy explosion to “echo” the terrain and so distinct features inside the entire cavern.
As he adjusted the frequency of the Echo Reconnaissance, he told the three people around him:
“In the archives of the Circle Tower, back then the clan of the King of Bone Biting was bombarded from the skies by the Sunship of the Sanghai Empire, losing its most elite core force, but still, a group of powerful Hunting Guards escaped with the King of Bone Biting from an encircled battlefield.
They were chased into the Polluted Swamp and then disappeared without a trace.
This is the last whereabouts of that group of Hunting Guards.
I heard that the remains of the King of Bone Biting also appeared on the battleground of Plague town, it seems those absurd rumors about ‘the King of Bone Biting not being dead’ can finally be put to an end.
But new problems arise.
Why would these absolute elite Wolf People seal their nas and die here?
They should have had enough power to evade the giant snakes’ pursuit and return to the Dark Mountain Range.
There are no obvious fatal wounds on these bodies, which is enough to prove they did not die in combat.”
“It seems soone gave them an order, an order that cannot be disobeyed, and these Wolf People warriors died here of old age just to fulfill that order.”
Murphy narrowed his eyes and said, then turned to He Lu:
“I guess they must be guarding sothing, can you see what’s at the deepest part of the cavern?”
“Hold on, Governor, I’ll adjust it.”
He Lu hastily launched another Echo Reconnaissance, this one reaching deeper into the cavern.
After a few minutes of waiting, a visibly sweating He Lu reported:
“There is a sealed space at the deepest part of the cavern, your guess is correct, sothing is definitely hidden there.
But there is also strange Spiritual Energy lingering, I guess it’s related to the true nature of this cavern.
Maybe these Wolf People only ‘appear’ to be dead!
Despite the passage of ti and the loss of life, they are still guarding their mission.”
“Then we need to go in and take a closer look.”
At Murphy’s command, three vampires instantly took to the air.
Maxim, carrying He Lu, followed the two Vampire Lords down into the deepest part of the cavern, avoiding touching anything they shouldn’t, with Triss present to ensure that the hidden traps would not be triggered.”
