Chapter 1726: 577. What’s wrong with other nas? Why insist on “Root”? See, sothing went wrong, right? – Extra update [19/30]_2
Phemys saluted in mid-air.
Although she, a petite young lady, hardly seed imposing, appearances did not reflect ability. This short vampire standing before him was none other than Murphy’s spiritual energy commander. When it ca ti to toss magic spells in future battles, she would be indispensable.
Previously, Murphy learned from Triss when alone that, upon entering the silver rank, the power potential of the ‘Seed of Blood’ inside the young lady had started releasing swiftly. According to Triss, the young lady, who possessed a part of “mutated divinity,” would effortlessly surpass the golden trial, and the process would be remarkably fast.
In other words, the Blood Vulture Clan was destined to be represented by the “supernova genius” Phemys in the future.
Murphy was quite assured in entrusting the task of relocating the factory to the young lady. As he glided down the mountain peak to its base, the “hit squad” ford by Sulk Flywheel was already there, geared up and ready.
As a violent organization propping up his wild warlord career, this group of over twenty Cannibal Demons and nearly a hundred Bear Goblins was considered “well-equipped.” Old Flywheel manufactured thick, reliable armor for them in his factory and equipped them with weapons from industrial waste.
The Cannibal Demons wielded fierce “scrap steel war hamrs,” while the Bear Goblin raiders riding on Roth Beasts each had decapitation swords, along with various explosives and large-caliber muskets for ranged attacks.
As for what a Roth Beast is…
You could generally understand this creature as the buffalo of this world, strong and extrely enduring. Initially discovered by the Shadow Elves in the Dark Territory, these creatures were dosticated by the elves into pack animals and major at sources.
This creature is gentle by nature but becos terrifying when enraged; it also reproduces rapidly. Most importantly, it’s delicious, quickly becoming the most common creature in the Dark Mountain Range Area.
Roth Beasts can also be trained as mounts for cavalry charges. However, they are slow, aside from their powerful collides, making them easy targets for speedier ordinary cavalry.
Yet, the massive bodies and armor weight of Bear Goblins clearly made horses unsuitable, so these creatures fit them well.
These hitn were inford that Old Flywheel would not renew their “labor contract,” so when the new leader appeared, they were exceptionally “enthusiastic,” especially the “Four Hungry Brothers” who served as Cannibal Demon Military Governors.
Dazhuang, wearing his scrap steel war helt, enthusiastically invited the new boss to sit upon his broad shoulders, and he said to Murphy, fawning:
“Boss Murphy! I heard we get to gorge on at every day? Is that true?”
“Uh, not necessarily at; there’ll also be other grains and alcohol.”
Being a reasonable Governor, Murphy shouted to the Cannibal Demons carrying him in their stride:
“Once we reach Shadow Valley, you’ll see those grains. The cunning Wolf Queen Majesty has aided us with plenty of expired or soon-to-expire old grains from Bernel City and the entire Kafuhoka region. We must consu them before they spoil.
My soldiers are eating with all their might but can’t deplete so much old grain; maybe you big-eaters can help?”
“Oh, eat! We’re eager to gorge ourselves!”
Dazhuang cheered instantly, and the other Cannibal Demons were stirred by the “pie” Murphy painted, itching to rush into Shadow Valley to feast.
Unfortunately, this path has to be traveled step by step.
The Bear Goblin Cavalry looked down on the easily satisfied attitude of Cannibal Demons. They agreed to fight for Murphy because the Vampire Lord promised lucrative rewards, though they concealed their disdain.
Not out of humility, but simply because they couldn’t beat the Cannibal Demons.
Alas, it’s quite a tragedy.
The distance by land from Hunger Mountain to Blackfla Mountain Pass was considerable, taking at least a full day, and Murphy dared not push the Cannibal Demons to march fast. Their large fras would rapidly deplete energy once they were in strenuous motion.
Should Cannibal Demons beco famished, while Murphy couldn’t provide food, things could get very “troubleso.”
Luckily, Sulk Flywheel was a decent guy. When selling his factory to Murphy, he opened the food storage, allowing the big eaters a hearty al that according to Cannibal Demon regulations was enough to sustain them for three or four days.
But today, Murphy’s luck seed quite bad—or perhaps good.
Three hours after this strange “Hunger Army” left Hunger Mountain, Murphy, who was dozing, was suddenly awakened. Reveno, flying in the sky ahead, shared with him an odd aerial view.
In a valley ahead of the Hunger Army, a large group of Jackal-man Throne Wolf Riders were chasing a band of mysterious Goat n. Their battle had reached a fever pitch; though few in number, the Goat n possessed spiritual energy but had little ans to protect themselves against the fierce Jackal-man cavalry.
If no one intervened, then within ten minutes, these Goat n would drink hatred beneath the Jackal-man blades.
And those Jackal-n bore an odd battle standard, clearly hailing from the sa tribe. Yet previously, Lord Hether had emphasized that there were no Jackal-man settlents near Blackfla Mountain Pass. Thus, these were likely the Jackal-man Vanguard Murphy had been seeking.
