“Considering the complexity of this situation, ntor, we can’t just rely on the blueprints to spot the problem. I think we should go down and have a look on-site.”

Master Irich snorted, took a bottle of Flying Sky Wine that he was obsessed with from his psychic package and poured over half of it into his small flask, then licked the remaining drops with relish from the bottle before pulling out his architect’s staff, and said:
“With the Earth Walking Ritual bestowed by Mother Earth, I can take you quickly through the underground structures of these positions, but let be frank, there are just the four of us, and it will take a long ti just to take a tour through all the rooms of these positions.
There are thousands of rooms underground. We can’t possibly look at every one of them, can we?”
“That’s true, but since we’ve accepted the task, we have to do the job well.”
Old Chen chuckled, saying:
“Co, co, stop complaining. Not finding any problem would be the best result, but if there really is a problem, our hard work might just save a few more people, which is a good deed, and we shouldn’t complain about it.
Irich, please go to the Fortress of Courage and bring my other student, Samoyed Syria, over,
he’s different from these two inexperienced kids, he’s truly worked on major projects, with his experience, our troubleshooting will be much easier.”

The Silver Dwarf Drunkard chuckled, raised his staff, jumped forward, and disappeared into the ground like Tuxingsun, then reappeared five minutes later with Samoyed Syria in tow.
This veteran of civil engineering erged still rolling up his sleeves, clearly having been commanding work at the construction site at the Fortress of Courage, only to be drafted by his own teacher.
“Quick, quick!”
As soone who respected his teacher and valued the principles, Samoyed would not curse at his teacher, but he turned and shouted to the two junior students:
“Get this done, I still need to get back to the Fortress of Courage to keep beating the dust and building the house. Those wolf people have gone crazy, surrounding the position from all sides; if we hadn’t already completed the bastion, a charge from them could have sent us to the Hall of Valor.
But with the bastion built, there aren’t enough soldiers to guard it, what a joke!

The Dust Beater chuckled and patted his senior brother on the shoulder before they, led by Irich, used the Earth Walking Technique to enter the underground structure behind the positions at Blackfla Mountain Pass.
They didn’t glance over but ticulously checked these seemingly problem-free underground structures. At first, everything was fine, but as they delved deeper, Old Chen and Samoyed began to look less pleased.
“Stop! There’s a problem!”
In the granary on the third underground floor of the ninth position, Samoyed halted Master Irich, who was about to continue the Earth Walking. He discussed quietly with Old Chen before directing the Dust Beater and the Brick Mover to asure the heights of the granary and a few other buildings.
The Dust Beater, still sowhat baffled, quickly returned with the data.
“About 0.2-0.3 ters shorter than the blueprint height.”
The young civil engineer scratched his head and said:
“This error is still within an acceptable range for such a complex underground project, right? After all, the Brass Dwarves dug downwards without machines, relying on themselves and their intuition.
An error is understandable.”
“It is indeed within an acceptable range, but if only one or two rooms had errors, it would be fine. Haven’t you noticed that nearly every room we’ve passed through so far has had errors?
You’re inexperienced!
I’ve been in civil engineering for so many years, a glance tells whether a building ets standards—almost all the rooms we’ve seen have had such errors!”
Samoyed sternly said:
“Even if each room is only 20 centiters off, this seven-level underground structure could leave several ters of empty height! Think carefully, if the remaining six levels have this problem, there would be a massive irregular void underground spanning several kiloters in length, over ten kiloters in width, and several ters in height!
Logically, such a void should cause ground subsidence, but there is Spiritual Energy on this continent, potentially preventing this extre result. However, the ‘nonexistent’ underground structure hidden within the blueprints remains highly dangerous!
We must find it imdiately!
Think about it, even filling it with homade explosives could blow the entire position sky-high if it explodes underground.

“Send a ssage to the Gaia Temple imdiately! Find the architect from back then to co here at once! The wolf people could attack at any mont; we don’t have ti to fix this terrifying flaw, but at least we should locate it and determine what is inside to aid the Commander in defense.”
“I’ll find soone imdiately! Wait for !”
Irich, recognizing the gravity of the problem, too, quickly dove underground to find the Earth Priests stationed on the position to perform a remote transmission spell. Fortunately, they were the most favored by Gaia, allowing them to summon clansn to a designated spot regardless of distance, which was vastly safer than Star Realm transportation, though only the Silver Dwarfs could use it.
“We must think of a solution…”
Old Chen had just begun to speak when a loud boom echoed, as if sothing heavy had crashed to the ground.
“Not good! The wolf people are attacking.”
Samoyed jerked with alarm, shouting:
“We move imdiately, at least find out what’s hidden beneath this position—damn it! Is this the Invincible Line ant for combating the Black Disaster in this world? Damn! It’s full of holes!”
