212: I hope you approach your own life with the sa attitude!【16/60】_2 212: I hope you approach your own life with the sa attitude!【16/60】_2 “Hiss”
Like hot oil pouring out, or an intense fire burning.
Underneath Murphy’s skin, guarded by the elder’s armor, a billowing layer of blue smoke arose, causing him so much pain that his defensive movents montarily lost their form.
His ‘Dark Step’ lost control, causing him to stumble nearly falling.
He barely managed to support his body with the sword in his hand.
But this was already considered good luck.
At least he didn’t have as many terrifying debuffs on him.
The sa couldn’t be said for Jed who was standing before him, bearing no less than six lethal debuffs on his body.
Jed appeared as if he was doused in sulfuric acid.
In the absence of Blood Essence and with his physical body crumbling from multiple bat transformations, even the slightest exposure to sunlight caused unbearable pain.
Especially now, at the break of dawn when the sun’s rays tore through the darkness.
It was the ti when the sun’s spiritual energy was at its peak.
“Ah!!!”
The prolonged scream of agony echoed like a banshee’s wail throughout the deserted ruins.
Suffering under the sun, Jed dropped his sword in pain and fell to his knees.
He desperately tried using his hands to shield himself from the relentless sunshine.
His exposed skin was bubbling and carbonizing.
He struggled, attempting to harness his dark spiritual energy to conjure a shadow to shield him from the sunlight.
But Murphy advanced without hesitation.
He held a broken pocket watch in his mouth to keep himself from crying out in pain.
Amidst the rising white smoke from his body, he wielded the elder’s blade ‘Blade of Yi’, rcilessly launching a fierce assault with his masterful Blood Eagle swordsmanship towards the ‘sun-struck’ Jed.
This was his only chance for victory!
This was the strategy that he’d decided upon when he singled Jed out as his test subject: use the environnt as an exploit to make a sneaky, over-leveled challenge.
But despite all, Jed’s overwhelming strength was beyond doubt.
Upon realizing he could very well be outsmarted and defeated by Murphy here, Jed imdiately lost his will to fight.
He knew now was not the ti for pride!
He needed to run!
“Get lost!”
The power derived from Jed’s silver rank erupted with a miserable scream, slapping away Murphy with a slash of his claw, then scrambled towards the nearest shadow for cover.
But in the instant he began to take off, Murphy lifted his left hand to cast a spell of spiritual binding.
Having been repeatedly trained by Cui Si, he had mastered the spell ‘Spiritual Shock – Suffocation’, releasing it in the next mont.
Murphy had added a twist to this commonplace spell.
His dark spiritual energy transford into an invisible hand, clutching Jed’s throat and preventing him from breathing, while lifting his struggling body off the ground with his left hand continually casting spiritual energy.
It was like an invisible noose hanging a criminal in mid-air.
The dreadful struggle of the victim deepened and quickened the effects of suffocation, giving this ordinary spell a sense of relentless beauty and ceremonious grace.
It caught the eye of the young lady who sneakily watched the fight from a shadowy elevation point.
Ah!
This execution move was really sothing!
It was simple, easy to learn, and cool.
It was the finishing touch ant to beautify a common spell.
She’d call it ‘Midnight Noose’.
“Puff”
The ‘Blade of Yi’ pierced Jed’s shoulder from behind.
Murphy’s wrist hooked Jed’s shoulder blade, severing the bone.
His left hand then transford into a crimson claw, aiming for Jed’s heart.
Attempting to kill Jed in his weakened state.
But it wasn’t that simple.
The harsh cry of a crow exploded around Murphy.
Jed wasn’t just a tomb knight guard, he was also an elite midnight hunter.
Summoning crows to feast on enemies was their forte, and when betting their lives, these hunters didn’t hesitate to release their spiritual energy.
In the next mont, Murphy was enveloped by a flock of deadly black crows.
The nearly dozens of energy-infused pecks turned Murphy into a ‘blood man’ in an instant.
Just like in a soul-based ga where being greedy and reckless against the Boss would result in a disappearing health bar.
What’s more unfortunate was that this montary delay allowed Jed to escape the ‘Midnight Noose’.
But he didn’t turn to counter-attack, instead, he stumbled towards the nearest shadow.
“Kill him!”
Murphy swung his sword to eliminate the energy-infused crows while blowing his whistle at the sa ti.
The giant phased Star Realm wolf howled and pounced, following the orders of its ‘Wolf King’ to chase after Jed, knocking the miserable higher-order vampire to the ground with a swipe of its claws from behind.
Jed’s screams echoed as the wolf began to tear him apart relentlessly, leaving no dignity left.
Clearly, under the fury of the magnificent sun, the Children of Midnight had no place to hide.
Jed’s whole skin was nearly carbonized.
He could only struggle under the sunlight, leaving a brutal trail of blood behind, before crawling back into the life-saving shade.
He kicked away the Star Realm Giant Wolf, got up stumbling, and continued rushing towards the darkness of the room.
anwhile, Murphy had also beheaded the last crow.
A hint of fierceness flashed across his handso face.
He wiped off the blood, picked up his sword, and with his limping Star Realm Giant Wolf, charged into the dark house.
He wouldn’t back down!
Just like when he ca face-to-face with Jopan Mark in the Smugglers’ Forest.
When it was ti to fight, Murphy didn’t yield!
Even though he had the administrator system now, he could summon cute yet fierce little players to fulfill almost all his wishes.
But for these players, this was just a ga where they could go AFK anyti, but for Murphy…
This was everything!
This was his life!
Which normal person would approach life the sa way they approach a casual ga?!
