“This tunnel is well dug!”
The brothers of the Big Bird Team quickly advanced in the tunnel more than ten ters underground. Calling it a tunnel was not far from a passageway; in so places with enough height and width, they could even advance on horseback.

Brother Qu frantically gestured below, signaling everyone to go back down. His heart pounding, he carefully replaced the cover before descending the shaft to tell the others:
“That’s likely a squad of Wolf People reconnaissance cavalry. I also saw a large force of Wolf People marching in the distance! They’re flying the flag of the Pī zhǎo Clan, I’m not mistaken, we’re operating right under the feet of the Wolf People.”
Hugging his gun, Brother Qu said excitedly for a while:
“If we charge out from here, maybe we can block a commander or sothing. Damn, I’m starting to like this thing. It’s perfect for snipers! Shoot once and move to another spot.”
“Don’t be rash, the mission is paramount.”
ow Brother flexed his fingers, gesturing to the scout Yan Song in the team, who climbed the shaft with a grin and cast a reconnaissance spell.
A few minutes later, Yan Song received precise information and said in the team channel:
“There are about two thousand Wolf People nearby. Their main force is still four kiloters away; this might be a detachnt, heading towards New jewa Village where the local Huma River has a waterhole. I reckon they’re going to take control of the water flow.
The main force of Wolf People is large, from what I can see, conservatively estimated at no less than thirty thousand, with many, many Gnolls.
Their advance direction is towards Shadow Valley.
I saw the flagship of the Wolf People!
It’s the sa guy who attacked Blackfla Mountain Pass before, the Grand Marshal of the Pī zhǎo Clan. Damn! Are they here for revenge?”
“No kidding, we took out so many of them. If they don’t co for revenge, these Wolf People would really lack guts.”
Brother Black Silk asked softly:
“Anything else besides these?”
“I can only see this far. Further isn’t impossible to see, but I’m afraid the Spiritual Energy shock might alert the patrolling Wolf People Scouts, but this is enough.”
Yan Song climbed down the shaft, telling ow Brother:
“Shall we report it?”
“Technically, the command post allocated specific people for reconnaissance; this kind of movent can’t possibly escape their notice.”
ow Brother said with a frown:
“But to be safe, I’ll send a ssage.”
With that, he actively activated the communication frequency with the dostic 007 and sent the information collected by his squad. A mont later, a brief reply ca, acknowledging receipt of the information and advising them not to engage in such dangerous activities since they weren’t a professional reconnaissance team.
Under the current operation mode that had just comnced combat, being discovered at the tunnel shaft entrance by the Wolf People would be quite troubleso. Although they had prepared a backup plan, maintaining secrecy was still the top priority.

ow Brother wasn’t annoyed; with a grin, he led the brothers further along the tunnel, reaching point A forty minutes later.
This was a deeper underground area, the junction of six tunnels, thus forming a three-dinsional structure akin to a “safe house.” As ow Brother arrived, a group of People’s Army Vampire soldiers were organizing gear here.
One of them stood up and saluted ow Brother, reporting:
“Captain ow! Your rest point is in the second room on the left, where you’ll find your supplies and explosive storage, along with an ergency supply pack for your commander. This area will be your rest zone for the foreseeable future.
Also, do you have a Captain of the Hunters in your team?”
“Yes, that’s .”
Old Qu, chewing a strange-tasting hard candy, casually saluted with his finger at his forehead. The opposite Vampire Captain smiled and then retrieved an extravagantly shaped heavy firearm, handing it to Old Qu.
