Little Player with Big Wisdom【21/60】_2 “I presu each of you has your reasons for fight, but I neither have the ti nor the interest in convincing you.”
“However, I will et the witch hunters in three hours.”
“Cui Si will co with .”
“If you can’t make up your mind, then leave.
I can pretend I never saw you.”
Having said that, Murphy turned and went deeper into the forest.
He had picked up on the essence of so smaller players and made it his business to see what they were up to.
After his departure, Lady Adel anxiously looked at the pale-faced Miss Phemys.
She had learned why the young lady’s mories were different from her own; instead of being afflicted with the pain of deciept, she felt only pity.
The first thirty years of the young lady’s life was a carefully constructed lie, her own father masterminded it all.
Oh, Mother of Night, it’s a gut-wrenching thought.
“Miss!”
Lady Adel stepped forward, wanting to say sothing, but Phemys just waved her hand and walked alone towards the other side of the forest.
She said tiredly,
“Don’t follow, Adel, let be…please, my friend.”
—
“Quick, quick, quick!
The stars of the waning moon are rising!
We’ve spared 30 minutes of ga ti just for this mont.”
Deep within the forest of this survivor camp, Wuioge and his cohorts were busily preparing sothing around a queer tree stump.
Being born under the atheistic red flag, this was their first ti conducting this kind of feudal superstitious ritual.
Brother Black Silk held a thick incense stick, securing it onto a silver rack.
Ring Attack and Three Five Battles carried a basket of fresh berries and a stack of sun-dried laurel leaves respectively, while Succubus Old Qu held a candle for lighting.
No Hands Needed to Show Off, Wuioge’s cousin, holding a bucket of weird powder bought from the witch hunters, went around the tree stump sprinkling it all around, muttering words all the while.
This was nothing less than an amateur scene of cult activities!
Murphy, hidden in the shadow of a treetop, watched with great interest.
He probably guessed what Wuioge and the six of them were up to.
They were likely attempting to perform the Natural Ceremony Wuioge learned from the witch hunters.
Under his gaze, as the star of this ritual, Wuioge had changed into a hemp robe according to the requirents, probably sourced from the camp’s storage.
He even wore an odd-looking grass ring on his head.
This certainly t the requirents of so ritual of the Old Natural Religion, but the grass ring looked weird no matter how he looked at it, perhaps it was woven by these crude n themselves?
Your craftsmanship is terrible!
Even kindergarteners are more skilled than you!
“This ritual will succeed when pigs fly!”
As a “superstitious creature,” Murphy had no experience with such things either, but as a vampire, he swiftly pointed out at least seven errors in the ritual carried out by the six players.
He was reminded how poorly his Warriors from Another World carried out this kind of task for the first ti.
But hey, there’s no harm in trying.
If the players could find a new career system, it would be a major windfall for Murphy.
However, their clumsy preparations ant the ceremony still needed more ti.
Murphy deftly took out a large, blood-red Vampire’s Heart from his Spiritual Energy pouch.
This was not one of the five Blood Essences given to him by Adel, but from his own hunt.
It was Jed’s Blood Essence.
Murphy looked at the Vampire’s Heart in his hand.
It emitted a mysterious, lingering crimson glow in the darkness.
However, no matter how one looked at it, there was a sense of loss and weakness.
A Silver Grade vampire’s Blood Essence should be a bit more dazzling after death.
But it was unclear what nightmare those unfortunate souls encountered in the Blood Eagle Corridor that rendered them in unrepairable weakness, diminishing the bounty of Murphy’s spoils.
But this wasn’t a bad thing for Murphy.
As a newly-minted Black Iron Rank vampire, he might end up in an embarrassing situation if he tried to absorb a Silver Grade Blood Essence.
Last ti, before he had finished absorbing the strength, he had already given out.
Now that the Black Iron Rank’s potential has started to release, he shouldn’t face the sa “need without redy” situation.
Moreover, Murphy was advised during his previous absorption of the Blood Essence that using it frequently could lead to severe after-effects.
Murphy also learned the specifics of its use from Cui Si.
In summary, a vampire could use one at most per power stage.
Any more use could lead to problems.
After all, the Blood Essence was essentially power snatched from another vampire, and occasionally, so strange things are also taken.
For instance, certain obsessions or wicked thoughts of the heart’s original owner.
Cui Si ntioned she knew of at least seven unfortunate vampires sabotaged by the arbitrary use of unknown Blood Essences and they had to be destroyed in rcy by their own clans.
This warning may have been exaggerated, but clearly, Cui Si did not want Murphy to rely on killing his own kind to attain swift power.
This unique chanism was probably a taboo evolved by vampires to prevent infighting.
Just like the prion virus in the human brain.
“Pop”
The crimson Vampire’s Heart crushed in Murphy’s clenched hand.
