Capítulo 2361: Chapter 788: Oh My God, the Wolf People and Transia People Are Working Together – New Year’s Extra [21/30]
(New Year special update~ Happy New Year to everyone~)
“That’s how it is, Grand Marshal. That bastard Old Manson seized my command. He’s planning sothing I can’t understand, but I’m sure it’s dangerous.
But this is war!
We’re not cornered Transia people, desperately struggling. We hold the initiative. We could win this smoothly, so why place our hopes in those unreliable, sinister thods?”
In Shadow Valley, Field Marshal Hass, who had ridden back on a bipedal dragon, was sowing discord with Huggesen.
This battle-hardened old marshal from the Blood Scar Clan was evidently displeased with Old Manson for stripping him of his command and was very concerned about the upcoming war, hoping that Huggesen, the chosen one of the Master of Hunting, could make Old Manson co to his senses.
However, Huggesen had no interest in such matters.
He just sat on the King of Bone Biting’s throne, staring at Field Marshal Hass, silent, until a trace of unease rose in the old marshal’s heart. Only then did Huggesen slowly speak:
“Manson is dead.”
“Hmm?”
Field Marshal Hass widened his eyes in disbelief at Huggesen, who whispered:
“That was a warning from the Master of Hunting. Twenty minutes before you arrived, I saw in a dream Old Manson foolishly stepping into a trap set against him and us. A group of criminals lurking in the shadows exploited Old Manson’s desperate desire for victory, leading him to beco a sacrificial victim in a ritual.
The Master of Hunting gave him power to save him, but that blessing was one-ti. Once the damned subspace rift was sealed, Manson would die miserably, having lost divine favor.
By now, it should be about over.
However, there’s no need to fear for his death; it won’t implicate you. I will personally write an explanation to send to Moss Valley, to explain the situation here to Chief Amot.
It’s all Manson’s doing, and he deserved this outco.
You’ve done well, Hass. You withdrew the soldiers from that now extrely dangerous region under subspace’s watch, preventing our valuable soldiers from becoming victims of a conspiracy like Manson.”
“Subspace?”
Hass was an experienced marshal. Though not a Psychic, he had been in the eerie Dark Mountain Range long enough to have heard many dangerous tales related to subspace.
Don’t assu that because the wolf people worshipped the Evil God, they have an affinity for subspace. In reality, any intelligent beings on the continent should know to stay away from subspace, as everything related to it is not a blessing.
Even in so vague divine ssages from the Master of Hunting, they would warn their followers not to get involved with subspace.
Look, even the still-awakening Evil God finds those subspace-related lunatics too extre.
The Psychics of the Split Claw Clan rarely delve into forbidden knowledge related to subspace, and even the naturally malevolent Goat n seldom venture into this domain. Playing with star realm Spiritual Energy is the extent of their wicked spells.
Therefore, hearing Old Manson was involved with subspace truly shocked Hass, but this cunning old wolf man sensed sothing ominous in Huggesen’s words.
He whispered:
“Did you just say Old Manson was used?”
“Not just him!
Many big figures in Moss Valley were used, including my foster mother, Chief Botana. I followed her, and I know she had deep connections with those shadowy figures, and Old Manson’s cooperation with them was even deeper than my mother’s.
But look at their fate.”
Huggesen showed visible disgust and disdain, saying:
“Even this ill-tid Black Disaster had those doomsday-worshipping madn deeply involved from the start.
I can’t say how many in the five Elder Clans are connected to the organization called ‘Twilight,’ but I’m fed up with our blood being shed on the frontline for our God, only to be used as pawns by conspirators.
Old Manson’s death is a warning!
Anyone who deals with subspace cos to no good end, so I’ve decided to pause the attack on Transylvania.
I need to do sothing internally.
And you are my best helper, Hass. You proved your command ability and warti intuition in this battle, and more importantly, you didn’t blindly follow Old Manson’s authority, proving you haven’t been blinded by so dangerous things.
That’s just the talent I need!
I will appoint you as the Marshal in charge of frontline military affairs, to assist in reorganizing the Blood Scar Clan and the Split Claw Clan’s elite. Our current structure is chaotic with too many conflicts between the two clans, preventing us from fully unleashing our combat power, and I’m sure there are still Twilight’s lackeys among our command ranks…”
The Chosen Marshal’s eyes glead coldly as he said to Hass:
“Sniff them out, and eliminate them! I can’t control the wolf people of the other clans, but under my command, I won’t allow any bad guys hiding behind us to steal the fruits.”
“This…”
Field Marshal Hass hesitated a bit.
He was quite tempted by this suggestion, as he had spent a lifeti at war, clearly understanding how lethal the issues described by Grand Marshal Huggesen were to warfare.
