Wearing the armor of the Mighty Clan, Boboke was nominally the Grand Marshal of the Grey Wolf Army. Yet, this "young hero," who had recently been full of ambition, was now sulking, glaring angrily at his sister.
Nanaque’s belly had grown considerably along the journey.
The reproductive cycle of the Wolf People is much shorter than that of humans. Similar to canine creatures, they only need just over two months from pregnancy to childbirth. Given this tiline, it’s possible that Nanaque and Huggesen’s child will be born in just over a month.
But Nanaque’s expression at the mont was not good either; she seed to be upset with her foolish brother.
"What are you two arguing about?"
Hog asked puzzledly:
"You two are the leaders of the Grey Wolf Army. Your quarrel will have a very bad impact on our soldiers."
"We’re just puppets; you’re the leader."
Nanaque showed her teeth and said with a pout:
"Only my foolish brother would be satisfied with being a puppet of glory. But that’s not what we’re arguing about. Wise Wolf, we can’t have a direct conflict with the Broken Tooth Clan. Our forces are too thin compared to theirs.
I think we might solve this through negotiation. After all, we just want to enter their sacred land, not to defeat the Broken Tooth Clan. There’s no need for it to escalate to a lose-lose situation."
"Stupid! You’re just walking into a trap!"
Boboke shouted:
"Wise Wolf, judge this! My idiot sister says she wants to show so damned sincerity; she’s planning to personally et the Broken-Tooth Chief. Isn’t she just throwing herself into the mouth of the dog? I won’t let her go, and she’s angry with ."
"Hmm, this move is indeed risky."
Upon hearing this, Hog squinted his eyes. The blessed wisdom quickly worked, and he suddenly realized he had the opportunity to et the Broken-Tooth Chief.
Therefore, after a mont, the small Hog wagged his tail, saying:
"But it’s not impossible. The yearning for peace exists as an original desire in the hearts of every living being, for us werewolves even more so a rare quality. While I don’t think your actions will be effective, I’m willing to try as well.
How about this, I’ll accompany you, Lady Nanaque.
If we can convince the Broken-Tooth Chief, that would be great."
The Wise Wolf expressed support for Nanaque, which made Boboke very unhappy.
But he was Hog’s die-hard follower, so he didn’t say much. Although he called his sister a fool, when he saw Nanaque with her big belly truly wanting to take a risk, Grand General Boboke angrily prepared the protective gear and weapons, clearly intending to escort his sister and the Wise Wolf on their adventure.
The players also started taking action upon hearing the news. Several hours later, close to midnight, the ssenger sent by Hog finally returned with information.
The good news was that the Broken-Tooth Chief agreed to the eting.
The bad news was that the opposite party didn’t intend to invite Hog to their camp; instead, they rudely demanded to et at the current intersection of the two forces.
Clearly, the Broken-Tooth Chief was wary of Hog’s assassination tactics.
With the werewolves still employing nomadic-era warfare tactics, as long as the camp location isn’t revealed, any assassination plan is virtually impossible to succeed, especially on their turf.
Under the moonlight, a wild wolf with thirty or so strength-path werewolf players, each accompanied by their clan warriors, ford an escort, accompanying Hog, Nanaque, and Boboke to the boundary. Upon arrival, the Broken-Tooth Chief was already waiting on the other side.
His presence was evidently more grand.
Thousands of elite werewolf soldiers guarded the area, ready to draw blades if things went awry.
Yet the other party was visibly intimidated by the strong and unique jackalman generals under the Wise Wolf’s command, resembling golden lions. So old wolf people even whispered privately about the "Son of Bonebite," and the players’ "conqueror of worlds" skin appearance clearly reminded these werewolves of the legend of the King of Bone Biting.
Originally, the Broken-Tooth Chief dismissed Hog, thinking it was just another young clan from the Dark Mountain Range rising up, eager to gain power through warfare. Such things were too common in the Dark Mountain Range.
But upon seeing Hog’s Grey Wolf Army, this no longer young chief imdiately beca alert.
This so-called "Wise Wolf" fellow didn’t co with good intentions! Where did he find so many Bonebite descendants? Wasn’t it said that the most orthodox bloodline of the King of Bone Biting only existed within the Bonebite Clan?
This Wise Wolf... was it sent specially by Gehrman Bonebite to handle him?
"Chief Mok, for our first eting, I brought you a gift."
Riding on his white Throne Wolf, the Wise Wolf politely said to the Broken-Tooth Chief riding a completely black Throne Wolf, who sneered and didn’t ntion the gift, waving his war scepter made from the Thunder Lizard Beast Bone to stop Nanaque from speaking, and roughly shouted at Hog:
"Don’t be so pretentious, Wise Wolf! We’re not allies right now! You rudely trespassed my territory and attacked my vassals; are you provoking the Broken Tooth Clan?"
"Those captives aren’t dead, Chief Mok. Our Grey Wolf Army is a civilized force... Don’t laugh, I’m not joking! Most clans we’ve defeated have been preserved, and those captives are waiting for you to redeem them."
