As soon as Wuioge finished his work for the day and logged on, he saw this newest batch of players led by Khaki Tontita and Ni Gei Lu Da You wandering around the ruins of Cardman City, huddling around every NPC they encountered in an attempt to “trigger” quests.
They were making the collectors who were sent by the survivor camps to gather resources utterly perplexed.
They had already grown accustod to the unusual enthusiasm shown by the warriors under Sir Morphy’s command, and were no longer afraid of these individuals protecting them.
But the problem was…
They had run out of tasks!
I an, as an ordinary disaster survivor, how many ssy things do you think I could ask you for help with?
A few days ago, I even tasked you warriors with finding my lost cat.
And I honestly don’t have anything valuable to reward you with.
Now you’re asking for more tasks, but I really don’t have any left!
The NPC being surrounded by the young gars looked distressed.
After being asked too many questions, it simply stopped responding and went back to doing its own thing.
A labor-point system was currently in place at the camp, and it needed to find enough resources before the end of the workday.
Seeing that this NPC had no tasks, the young gars weren’t disheartened.
They continued to roam and hoped that they might stumble upon another task.
“I joined at such a good ti.”
Wuioge sighed in place, like an old man reminiscing.
When he thinks back to…
Well, it was only 20 days ago when they first started playing.
They had nothing, and they had to make wild guesses using sign language when communicating with NPCs.
They couldn’t even control their own gaming ti.
New players can now take on quests directly, a stark contrast to how he started.
And all those Calculating Pearls used to improve the gaming experience were obtained by him via looting.
“Hehe, you guys really owe one.”
Wuioge smirked arrogantly, leaning on his beloved Scarlet Ability Magic Wand, and headed quickly towards the new NPC base— the Witch Hunter Camp, following the directions of the hidden task “Sir Morphy’s Favor”.
When he got there, he found that nearly all 17 of the surviving young gars were there, and a few of them had already completed their class change and beca Oak Apprentices or Witch Hunter Apprentices, just like him.
However, so did not choose to class change, and were simply picking through various weapons atop a rug belonging to a few expressionless Witch Hunters.
His four employees and his cousin were amongst them, much to the chagrin of Wuioge.
He walked up to them angrily, patted Three Five Battles on the shoulder, and said:
“You’re gaming so early, I assu that ans you’ve almost finished fixing today’s bugs, right?
And you, Brother Black Silk, a requirent report revised three tis!
Do you have no sha committing such a novice mistake?”
“That’s not my problem.”
Brother Black Silk, who was singled out, retorted defiantly:
“You tell what’s wrong with the requirent report I wrote?
Isn’t it just those Little Eight Gaga bastards nitpicking?
I told you not to take their assignnts!
Why bother with little money and lots of trouble?
You are blinded by poverty!
We are not in such dire need of money.
How about taking off this month?
With the new version just launched, full of amazing content, don’t you want to try it out?”
“Exactly!”
Three Five Battles yawned and chid in:
“I stayed up late last night and finished fixing those bugs.
They run just fine now.
If those bastards find fault again, I will throw a fit.
It’s off-duty ti now, Wuioge, don’t bother with work.
Look, I just learned a few skills from the Witch Hunters, all basic shield-bearing skills.”
“Shut up, are you the boss or am I the boss?”
Wuioge snorted, wanted to retort, but thinking about it, what his employees said wasn’t exactly wrong.
He must have gone mad to accept that Little Eight Gaga’s shitty assignnt.

Then he switched topics and leaned in close to Three Five Battles, asking:
“Aren’t these Witch Hunters supposed to offer class changes?
Why are they teaching general skills?
Where did you get this shield?
Why does it bear the emblem of Golden Flower Kingdom?”
“I traded for it from one of the veteran Witch Hunters, using so materials we found in the city.
We undoubtedly got ripped off, but there’s no place to argue about it given the circumstances.”
His cousin, Little Hand, chid in to explain:
“As for the general skills, they know them too.
Soone asked about it just now.
These Witch Hunters were all soldiers or rcenaries from various trades before joining the old church.
They know those basic general skills and even have so skill books to choose from.
I just changed to ‘Wanderer’ and got so books, feels like a pretty good deal.
Brother Black Silk learned the ‘Beheading’ and ‘Armor Breaking’ skills, Ring Attack learned ‘Whirlwind’ and ‘Slice,’ and we also bought a bunch of smoke bombs and flash powder for ambushing or retreating.
There are all sorts of things here.
You should co take a look and maybe buy sothing that might be useful for the day after tomorrow’s dungeon run.”
“You guys stay here and look, I’m going to hand in a task.”
Wuioge now understood the general functions of the Witch Hunter Camp.
This was essentially an “equipnt market”.
After a brief chat with his comrades, he headed into the camp to look for Sir Finoc, the Golden Knight, to hand in his task.
On his way, he bumped into Sister Pogranate and Lumina who were showing weapons to two new female players.
“Yo, Sister Lumi, aren’t you going to introduce to these two ladies?
