"Buzz"
The silhouette of Sir Aurora, clad in incredibly ornate armor, appeared in midair after the shimring of the illusion. It stomped its four hooves and spread its colorful wings, suspending itself in high air.
Seated in the saddle, Lord Paryen held the Holy Spear and looked down, witnessing the entire Brass Fortress along with the surrounding ground sink in an instant, as if an invisible fist had heavily struck the earth, pressing the dust to splatter and causing an entire mountainside plot to collapse downward.
In the final mont, in order to destroy the subspace fracture, Lord Hadran ignited the Burning Gold, directly damaging the underground structure of this area. But it wasn’t over yet. Old Edward squinted behind Sir Aurora, clearly sensing a destructive force gathering beneath the ground.
It was as if the first tremor just now was rely the fuse for the bomb, with the true explosion soon to follow.
"The subspace fracture is collapsing; it’s about to release massive destructive energy, much like the disaster at Ice Bay two hundred years ago, the Brass Fortress is dood."
Lord Paryen spoke softly.
Old Edward furrowed his brows tightly; he truly hadn’t expected that he would have the fortune to personally witness such an event for the second ti in his life. He didn’t even need to ponder deeply to easily comprehend what the collapse of the Brass Fortress at this mont ant for the already chaotic situation on the Continent.
"Compared to this already corrupted fortress, I’m more concerned about that Giant Spirit we just saw..."
Old Edward asked softly:
"That was a god, right?
I’ve never seen the birth of a Divine Spirit before, but I must say, its display was smaller than I imagined. I thought the scene of ascending to godhood would be more grand, like the sky splitting open or tides rolling back."
"Because of symbolism, Edward."
Lord Paryen patiently waited for the release of subterranean energy, like awaiting a destined mont’s arrival.
He softly explained:
"The kind of world phenona you ntioned cos from those gods that symbolize the natural rules of the world. Their symbolism lies in superficial laws and powers, but the symbol of the God of Wealth is not visible to the naked eye.
It manifests within the process of civilization’s developnt; it is indeed not as clear as the sky, ocean, tides, and sun, moon, and stars.
But rules are rules!
From now on, in this world, every transaction, every money transfer process, every comrcial progression will have an invisible force observing and witnessing, and in that realm, He is the supre symbol.
The grand scenes you can imagine He can easily create, but that holds no aning for Him.
Because the Divine Spirit doesn’t need to prove its existence to any mortal, its imnse power is already inherent.
The subspace is indeed generous, throwing out such terrifying and taboo knowledge as if it were a bone tossed out to tempt vicious dogs into tearing each other apart... Alas, this turbid world is to be stained again."
"Hmm?"
Old Edward blinked.
He wanted to ask sothing but ultimately chose silence. This ti when he saw the noble lord, Duke Wolfsbane felt certain subtle changes within Lord Paryen, speculating this might be related to that bygone Era.
With just these few words, the energy accumulating beneath the collapsing Brass Fortress finally reached the point of eruption. It was like a nuclear bomb exploding before their eyes, with pale purple light instantly enveloping the sky and earth, expelling the original sources of illumination from their domains, even prompting Edward to raise his hand to shield his eyes.
No violent explosive sounds, no dazzling collisions of light, and no continual shredding of light waves either.
The energy release when the subspace fracture was broken was instantaneous.
Its energy scale far surpasses the current powers mastered by mortals, tearing apart reality in an indescribable manner at the mont of eruption. Everything existing nearby was torn apart and then reassembled in an unfathomable way into one.
It was a situation triggered by the collision between subspace and the rules of the material world, similar to the instant darkness and light of two different worlds making contact, causing mutual annihilation. The outco of colliding two forces that cannot ld is destruction and flattening.
When Edward lowered his hand shielding his eyes, the land before him had already completely transford from its earlier state.
The entire vast area where the Brass Fortress once stood at the Gorgon Mountain Pass had been flattened and reshaped like a child’s sandcastle, with towering mountain ranges turned into ravines, the flat earth forced to bulge, and solid rock turned to dust.
All man-made landscapes had ceased to exist.
On that black earth, seemingly overturned and reshaped from beneath, the only remaining presence was the Brass Fortress itself. Every aspect of this fortress was blessed by the Mother Earth upon its establishnt. Despite Gaia’s shift in attention from the Brass Dwarves, His remaining Divine Power still protected this city created from an entire mountain.
But even so, the Brass Fortress was already teetering after the explosion.
In Edward’s widened gaze, cracks burst forth from the fortress’s rocks amidst constant explosive sounds. It was a successive impact of one Burning Gold Ore after another detonating, like glass hit with heavy blows, the majestic fortress splitting at an incredibly swift pace from the fortress’s pinnacle downwards.
