Many things happened on this land this night. Besides the open encirclent by the jackal army and the military force transfer between Whiptail and Bone Biter, important matters were quietly advancing in the desolate Brass Ruins.
The forces from the spatial explosion reshaped the entire terrain of Gorgon Mountain Pass, making the dwarves who had lived here for nearly a millennium completely lose their advantage of familiar terrain.
It was as if this land had completely abandoned them and refused to shelter them any longer. The dwarves who survived the fortress collapse ran around like terrified mice, but the land they rembered had long changed its appearance.
Like the Wolf People, they must also adapt to this new area.

A dirt-covered forr Earth Priest was directing a team of hundreds of dwarf refugees through the unfamiliar mountain area at night. Their goal was clear, to quickly travel through the ruins and reach the underground passage to Polut Pass.
That was luck amidst misfortune, as the passage had not been reshaped.
Even after the fall of the Brass Fortress, the Shield Dwarves did not abandon their close kin. Shield Dwarf Lord Catman promptly dispatched a large number of Goat Cavalry to check the situation.
None of the dwarves in the team were unscathed; nearly everyone was injured, and most dwarves were in a state of spiritual fear and panic. But so took advantage of the chaos to collect a lot of Gold Coin and made a little fortune.
Unfortunately, at this mont, although the dwarves did not fully understand what had happened, they could comprehend that it was the accumulation of Burning Gold that led to the fortress’s collapse, so even the greediest dwarves dared not pick up the unexploded Burning Gold.

The forr Earth Priest, with a broken arm and red eyes, shouted at the equally despondent fellow carrying a bag of Gold Coin:
"Get out, take your filthy money and get out of my team, you’re not welco here! Polut Pass won’t welco you either!"
"What the hell are you saying!"
The dwarves carrying Gold Coin had a fiery temper too.
Having lost their holand and loved ones, they were angered at being insulted.
Facing the Earth Priest’s accusations, these greedy dwarves imdiately retorted:
"At the ti of making money, did you take less? Stop pretending to be innocent! When General Banock’s soldiers opened Gaia’s Treasury, I saw you sneak gems from the side, you pathetic worm!
Scared now?
Too late!
If Mother Gaia is angry, it’s definitely not because we earned money through hard work, it’s you! You, who bear the Mother Goddess’s benedictions, commit deeds despised by the old spirit, you hypocritical parasites!
Besides, who among the surviving people doesn’t know, at the ti of the fortress collapse, the money in our pockets burst out into miraculous power and protected us.

The most crucial thing now was to escape to the still fortified Polut Pass to seek refuge with the Shield Dwarves’ kin before being killed. Fortunately, over the past hundreds of years, the Brass Dwarves with wealth had not forgotten to pull the stubborn Shield Dwarves into prosperity, allowing Polut Pass, where Shield Dwarves lived, to build strong fortresses and underground facilities.
Though not as majestic as the Brass Fortress, given Polut Pass’s terrain, it wasn’t easy for the Wolf People to breach.
