Murphy felt dizzy from the various investigative data flashing across the detector’s lens. He put the device down and looked at Monica, asking:
"So, what’s the Sentinel Corps’ plan for dealing with such a situation?"
"Bomb this place with an ’erasure torpedo,’ altering all mathematical principles in the subspace fracture and the surrounding fifty kiloters. Just removing one or two conceptual characters is enough to collapse everything within.
The reality rewrite occurs in an instant, and all active entities within are imdiately erased from existence.
They won’t even feel pain as they’re absorbed into a virtual black hole due to the collapse of reality, a black hole that will self-annihilate in a millisecond, leaving only an inexplicable crater behind without any residual contamination, not affecting other life forms from thriving here again.
Oh, these things are technically known as ’digital rate torpedoes’ or ’one-ti reality rewriters,’ gifts from the creator, renowned for being safe and efficient!
It’s the Sentinel Corps’ most ’clean’ weapon in the subspace arsenal."
Monica explained:
"It’s a weapon operating on digital rates, having strict activation ranges and a restart chanism as a safety lock, not interfering with world principles, with civilizations unable to comprehend digital rates even failing to detect the explosion."
"Stop! These terms from Creator’s Engineering give a headache, and there’s a lot of knowledge in this base I need, so I can’t allow you to irresponsibly blow it up."
Murphy rubbed his temples, saying:
"The most crucial part is that, with my shallow understanding of physical laws, subspace and the real world’s physical rules should differ, there’s even doubt if that eerie place has continuous laws at all. How do your digital rate weapons achieve subspace pollution clearance?
Isn’t this unscientific?"
"It’s actually quite scientific, Lord Administrator, because digital rate weapons don’t target subspace specifically. More precisely, we’re destroying the collapsed area where subspace integrates with the material world to prevent unrestrained expansion of subspace.
It’s akin to the principle of radiation therapy.
We indeed can’t precisely annihilate every cancer cell, but we choose to eliminate the entire cancerous region, leaving cancer cells with no space to exist."
Monica said, straight-faced, revealing quite alarming words, until now the robotic aspect of her personality showed.
She spoke in an unnervingly logical and neutral tone:
"After all, compared to the catastrophic outco following the subspace fracture outbreak, this world permanently losing so mass isn’t an unacceptable thing."

Murphy shook his head, saying:
"I’ve heard your solution, now listen to mine.
I will utilize the Beta program at Base R-9 for energy constraint, forcibly destroying the subspace fracture’s ’hole’ opened into the material world by guiding the explosion of the Oga Program, and then smooth out the dinsional conflict in this area by disseminating purifying energy through the Oga Program, letting it spontaneously revert to a stable spatial state.
Sounds unbelievable, but I’ve done similar things before; I have so experience. The current issue is we lack technology to adjust the Beta program’s energy release intensity.
But you do!"
The handso vampire spread his left hand, letting pale light cover his palm, saying to Monica:
"Thus, my current question is, does your amnesia affect your skills as a Sentinel maintenance master? Can you operate the suppression device you modified?"
"Oga Program? Searching database... No matching entries."
Monica looked at the energy in Murphy’s palm with confusion.
She glanced at Murphy, who nodded to her, indicating she could touch it. The amnesiac sentinel raised her hand to Murphy’s palm, and upon contact with Oga Energy, she retracted her hand as if shocked; Murphy saw sparks of electricity bursting from her eye corners and neck.
"No, completely unable to collect or analyze energy samples, but it’s basically confird as a mutated Genesis Energy, very pure and with significantly high energy levels, exceeding the frequency limits used by sentinels’ compressed light energy."
Monica continued flicking her fingers, speaking with reverence:
"It’s definitely unknown advanced technology left by the creator, reminding of the Genesis Spark jumping within the Creator Engine’s core energy furnace, equally full of majesty, equally inviolable.
But you said it can repair the damage to the material world’s dinsional boundary caused by subspace?
Sounds unbelievable.
After all, in our understanding, subspace once breaching dinsional boundaries leads to pollution utterly irrediable; this is why in the raid operation a millennium ago, we deployed saturation strikes of erasure torpedoes on the severely polluted Eden District border...
Hmm, I just looked at the map hanging in the base, that war zone now should be called ’Eternal Abyss’? And there’s a group of beings called Shadow Elves living there? Flesh-and-blood lives are truly bold to dwell in that shell-crater, although erasure torpedoes themselves are quite safe, but I vaguely recall the subspace pollution concentration back then was very high, possibly there are so unexploded torpedoes still left there."
