Mannis’s strange laughter echoed in Murphy’s ears, this chuckle naturally contained elents of credit to himself.
Since the Endless One uses Cardman City as a trump card, it would certainly not allow the city’s situation to deteriorate rapidly, especially knowing Murphy’s pursuit of order. Mannis would certainly strive to prevent the remaining living from degenerating into beasts.
