When Murphy and the Golden Ones returned to the Maginot Line, the Lord’s call orders were formally delivered to each God Slayer through a paper conscription order.
All of the currently Silver Rankers among the players received the order, totaling 153 people, and the God Slayer force expanded to 200 after the R-9 base battles, with remaining spots automatically filled by players with the highest achievent points as required.
This selection thod is reasonable; players with high achievent points are typically experienced veterans without combat power issues, but there’s always room for surprises in such matters.
Because among the players, there’s a special group called the "Achievent Party."
These folks don’t chase equipnt or strength, and they have little interest in participating in story progress; their sole fun is in relentlessly pursuing the bizarre entries on the achievent list and never tiring of it.
The number of Achievent Party mbers is small and they are not mainstream among players, but in the current situation, so prominent Achievent Party mbers are caught in a dilemma.
The most famous example is the top capitalist player, ’Livelihood is Doing Quite Well,’ and several veteran brothers from the Stonemason Association.
While other players fought passionately on the frontline, Old Huo and the like were not idle in the rear. They were temporarily integrated into the administrative system of Transylvania, acting as combat advisors at the Maginot Line and townships in the rear to coordinate resources for the army and incidentally brush up on achievents.
Even though combat-related achievents rarely triggered, Old Huo, Dust Beater, and the Brick Mover kept flying through achievents in other fields, becoming one of the players with the highest comprehensive achievent points. When Lord Paryen’s call was issued, Old Huo roaming the Maginot Line found himself bemused by the conscription order in his hand.
His companion, Biyue, was equally puzzled, questioning what Old Huo, unable to lift his hand nor shoulder anything, could possibly achieve at Moss Valley. Was he really going to stage a show by downing Victory Wine and embracing The Master of Hunting to explode and defeat the enemy?
Given Old Huo’s long neglect of strength enhancent in favor of making money, even the peripheral barbarian soldiers of the Blood Scar Clan would be too much for him.
"How about we let soone else have this conscription order?"
Biyue suggested:
"This ti the God Slayers only enlist two hundred people, there are plenty of battle maniacs like Chen Long eager to take on big tasks who couldn’t get a spot. They’re anxious to find a way to secure a God’s Slayer battle entry now."
"No way!"
Old Huo turned his eyes, huffed, and stuffed the conscription order into his pocket.
He held Biyue’s hand and said:
"This is the only legendary mission chain open to players from the start of the ga. Although I’m not skilled in combat, I’ve participated as a sponsor in your two-ring trials. I see this as the developnt team’s reward for veteran players. If I let it slip out of my hands now, wouldn’t people laugh at , Boss Huo, as a cowardly mouse?"
"But surely you don’t plan to really go to Moss Valley to stage an explosion, do you?"
Biyue was sowhat helpless towards her secret boyfriend’s occasional bouts of peculiar pride, already having passed the Silver trial with the minimum standard of four Ancestor’s Powers a few days earlier, she sighed and said:
"Alright, alright, you can go if you want. I’ll be your bodyguard, ok?"
"I don’t need you, my little darling."
Old Huo chuckled, patting Biyue on the butt, only to hurt his hand against the dwarf-crafted armor. He proudly took out his "Administrative Baron" badge and waved it before Biyue, saying:
"Last month Governor Milian issued this to and Pink Kitty Bunny. Now both of us can recruit a 36-mber private guard. I’ll work my mountain people connections to hire so muscle from Ice Bay!
It’s just Silver rank, right?
Hey, I have money. This ti, I’ll go all out and hire 36 Silver Barbarians to be my guard. Let’s see who can carry the banner in this legendary battle."
"You’re crazy! Silver Rankers charge high fees, and hiring 36 at once could an preparing pension funds for them. Doing this is going to wipe out our liquidity."
Biyue exclaid:
"Maybe you shouldn’t go, the cost-effectiveness is too low! We’ve expanded the Treasure Bay setup so much, and it’s not easy. It’s our hard work and dedication; we can’t squander it like this."
"No worries, Lady Taylor approached earlier, wanting to invest in the casino business."
Old Huo had his plan; he told his secret lover:
"That black market boss is confident that Transylvania will usher in a period of prosperity after the war, intending to take a stake in our casino. I’ve been indecisive, but now is the perfect opportunity to get so remuneration from Lady Taylor.
I’ll go discuss with Pink Kitty Bunny and arrange a major move this ti.
Having the honor of ’God Slayer’ as a foundation would be excellent for future developnt in trade areas; the title carries substantial weight and might open comrcial doors in Goldenrod Kingdom and Nordtof.
For both public and private reasons, I must follow you, lest my prospective wife underestimate ."
"Well, since you’ve made up your mind, I won’t stop you."
Biyue sighed, thought for a mont, and said to Old Huo:
"You could reach out to the Student Party for exoskeleton equipnt. They previously received hidden rewards, but since they are vampires who can fly themselves, they’re holding onto the Swift Hawk exoskeletons, waiting for the right opportunity to sell them. That thing is non-restricted gear; wearing it could at least slightly enhance your survival rate."
