The Wolf People carried out another close-range demolition hosted by the Gnolls. This ti, Huggesen used more explosives and sent out even crazier "Dogheaded Engineers." They adopted a strategy of madness, not counting their losses, and after three consecutive short-term explosions, directly collapsed a forward outpost fortress in front of Klim Fortress.
This unexpected attack direction instantly ignited the prelude to the siege war of Klim Fortress.
Faced with this sudden situation, General Baldwin demonstrated true leadership. He didn’t panic because of the Wolf People’s ghost tactics but imdiately mobilized the army for a determined counterattack to reclaim the collapsed outpost fortress.
Although Klim Fortress is sturdy, it has only two layers of depth, and losing the front would be disastrous.
Both sides understood this was a "crucial point," and the forces involved far exceeded other Commanders’ expectations. As Old Qin led the Crimson Hamr Sickle Group to support, the Winter Wolf Army in Klim Fortress had already lost three battalions, totaling fifteen hundred n.
The Wolf People’s losses were slightly fewer due to the abundance of Gnoll Servants, and they had already seized the ruins of the fortress.
Everyone knew the upcoming reclamation would be bloody, but General Baldwin hesitated not for a mont. Amid continuous bombardnts, the brave Winter Wolf soldiers charged forward wave after wave against the Wolf People’s defenses, relying on the ruins. However, the terrain made it incredibly difficult to advance, leaving Old Qin struggling to find the right direction for support.
In desperation, Lord Qin called for "air strikes."
As twilight fell, a hundred Blood Vulture Bombers took off from behind the Maginot Line, guided by Old Baldwin the Necromancer’s ground spiritual energy for a precise bombing.
A hundred light aerial bombs were dropped in three waves, "washing" the relatively small outpost fortress repeatedly with incendiary bombs. Only then did they manage to clear out the Ard Gnolls on the outskirts, but to entirely reclaim the ruins, the Winter Wolf Army would have to enter the fortress ruins filled with a nauseating sll of roasted at for step-by-step clearing.
Such dangerous work was evidently more cost-effective for fearless Foreign Spirit Heroes to handle, and General Baldwin didn’t stubbornly refuse Old Qin’s assistance this ti.
The clearing continued until midnight to eradicate the resisting Wolf People, but neither Old Qin nor Baldwin could smile, as the collapsed outpost fortress symbolized a terrifying change.
Firearms and explosives were no longer exclusive weapons of the civilized faction; the Wolf People also lit up this "war technology" through "unexpected gains," and they had Gnoll Servants capable of underground tunneling.
This combination could subvert the traditional Black Disaster model.
Old Qin felt a strong unease in his heart, and in the hours following dawn, that unease erupted completely.
In two hours after midnight, the Wolf People launched no fewer than thirteen explosions across the entire Maginot Line, coordinating with night marches. By the next morning, the trench positions in front of the central Nak Mine had been completely seized by the Wolf People.
Everyone knew the decisive battle at Maginot would be an extrely fierce war, but no one expected it to start so "explosively."
"We must reclaim those trenches, or the effectiveness of position artillery will be weakened to an unacceptable extent! The Wolf People have already learned to use the trenches to evade artillery, using this thod to weaken our firepower advantage."
After breakfast at dawn, Old Qin spoke to the entire Crimson Hamr Sickle Group and summoned players nearby:

We are about to execute a determined assault, charge into those trenches that belong to us and drive out the Wolf People.
I will personally lead the charge.

The Hamr and Sickle Brigade, a guild ford by retired veterans in real life, faced the difficulty with little sentint, silently organizing their gear, while other players were noisier, shouting slogans to kill the Wolf People and receiving explosives and victory wine from the Logistics Officer.
Although the tasks were indeed dangerous, they evidently did not believe the Wolf People could defeat them in the trenches. Previous battles had shown that as long as Undying Spirits were determined enough in close combat, they could overco an equal number of Wolf People. Moreover, this ti, there were five hundred People’s Army warriors fighting alongside them.
Ten minutes later, the assault began!
Old Qin, wearing exoskeleton armor, led the charge, wielding a Chainsaw Sword, with artillery positions at the rear firing to cover their advance. The Wolf People in the trenches howled, but instead of charging out for a decisive battle with the players, they coyly waited within the trenches for close combat.
Seeing this, Old Qin’s brows furrowed tighter.
These bastards really learned!
This was no doubt the combat mode they used at the Black Fla Maw Position, hiding in trenches to evade enemy firepower advantage. The enemy didn’t show their heads, rendering the Vulture’s Claw useless, along with tunnel warfare and close-range demolition, all thods players had used before.
