The ard modification of airships by Transylvania had already begun when Captain Paula and Murphy reached a transportation agreent.
Paula allocated three airships, one large and two small, from her transportation company to the Transia Administrative Office for ard modification. However, considering Transylvania’s pitiful industrial capacity, this modification wasn’t sothing that could be completed overnight.
Before the outbreak of the Black Disaster, even the most optimistic commanders did not believe that the ard airships could be ready for this war, but things always have a turning point.
Especially after a series of events led to the arrival of otherworldly professionals headed by Cent Sister, the progress of the ard airship modification project accelerated imnsely.
Despite experts entering Transylvania being skeptical about the destructive power of ard airships, preferring aircraft with complete technical routes verified by two world wars, given the current situation, the airship project was still included among the first local issues needing resolution.
The modification of these three ard airships is actually not yet complete, with the most noticeable feature being their lack of major and secondary cannons for ground attacks.
The lower decks of the three airships still retain massive gun positions that are empty, mainly because Transylvania cannot produce such ship cannons, and the Ligurian Peninsula is engulfed in conflict, leaving even the powerful Lady Taylor unable to smuggle them in.
Fortunately, the experts completed the design and production of bomb launchers for the airships, preventing the gathered war enthusiasts and arms traders on board from having to reach out of the cabin to throw explosives—a scenario not only unseemly but catastrophically inefficient in combat.
Moreover, the modification of these three airships didn’t completely follow the manufacturing approach of the Half-body Man’s ard airships; the experts had their pride. After referring to Old Flywheel’s schematics, they promptly implented nurous detailed modifications, enhancing the airships’ carrying capacity while ensuring safety.
After all, the weapons they carry this ti are not low-grade items like grenades or hand bombs.
Take the flagship "Hamr of Morphy" as an example; this dium airship can carry a payload of 380 tons. Currently, 80% of its cargo is replaced with a heavy otherworldly version of incendiary bombs produced by the arsenal. If used entirely, this destructive power can ignite an entire small town.
Thus, although Selakfenta’s boast of burning the Maginot Line to ashes certainly contains exaggerations, upon closer examination, his boast is not really overstated.
Old Qin boarded the Hamr of Morphy as the temporary air force commander; to assert his identity, he specifically changed into a sky-blue commander cloak.
All over the airship are People’s Army technicians in uniform, locally trained rapidly by Old Flywheel and Ellen, along with airship commanders borrowed from Captain Paula to assist in combat.
Lord Qin stood in the cockpit at the front of the airship, seeing clearly below from above through specially arranged glass panes. The commander’s view was excellent, but the densely packed levers, buttons, and control centers on the console left Old Qin bewildered, as he was hardly a professional.
Beside him, the Half-body Man First Mate noticed Old Qin’s embarrassnt. Considering the lucrative allowance he received for the support battle, the First Mate withheld his mockery, coughed, and asked:
"Commander! Shall we set sail?"
"Mm, head straight to the lord’s position!"
Old Qin waved his big hand and said:
"Full speed ahead, they need our support over there!"
"Order received! ’Hamr of Morphy’ combat airship departing, all personnel please promptly proceed to your posts. This ship will carry everyone towards the battlefield at full speed!"
The First Mate issued the directives via loudspeaker, then skillfully operated the console to let the airship set sail.
Old Qin walked to the wing of the command chamber, checking backwards through a set of specialized lens structures. To the left of the flagship was the "rchant Dynasty" combat escort ship commanded by Selakfenta and to the right was the "Ironheart Annihilator" support landing ship commanded by Bean Paste White Pour.
The flagship itself is exclusively a bombing ship, and after modification by specialists, the three airships ford a quite classic aerial fleet. Together, they could barely elevate Transylvania’s air force tactics from World War I standards to World War II levels.
Certainly, those two escort ships in this special operation were also loaded with incendiary bombs effective for ground bombing, their payload consisting of over 80% incendiary bombs.
Basically, the three airships encompass the arsenal’s production capacity for the past few months, but since bombing strategy determined from its inception that quantity advantage is essential, only saturation bombing can truly showcase this war tactic’s genuine power. The single bombs carried by the Vampire Air Troops are unlikely to achieve even basic tactical support.
To achieve a strategic-level conclusive strike, this type of "aerial arsenal" must be deployed.
The airship speed is quite fast, and this small town is rely ten or so kiloters away from the lord’s position in a straight line, taking no more than twenty minutes to arrive. So Lord Qin wasted no ti and picked up the fixed transceiver installed in the cabin, commanding the captain of the third ship, Bean Paste White Pour:
"When our fleet arrives at the battlefield, the flagship and rchant Dynasty will comnce bombing missions imdiately, while your ship must accommodate airborne troops at the position. The airship need not land; I have arranged for the vampires to bring airborne troops to your deck, equip them appropriately before entering the battlefield, and execute the ’airborne decapitation’ sche according to the original plan!"
