The Divine Power Field of The Master of Hunting being shattered signifies the complete destruction of that evil god’s greed and wickedness on this battlefield. Almost the instant the power field shattered, those wolf man rioters, who were howling as they charged at the Transia people, suddenly awakened from the frenzy and desire for sacrifice driven by the Divine Spirit.
The bloodthirsty glow in their eyes faded, and they then looked around blankly at everything surrounding them.
When they saw those who had been healed and encouraged by the Saint Ray, the humans sneering and raising their weapons towards them, even the strongest wolfman warriors would instinctively retreat. And when they looked up at the ard airships that were still dropping bombs from the sky, the fear in their eyes beca impossible to conceal.
A hundred years ago in the Fourth Black Disaster, The Master of Hunting’s army was defeated by the air bombardnt from the Sanghai people’s sunships, which had since left the wolfn with a fear of things soaring in the sky and calling down heavenly fire.
You can’t expect the superstitious wolfn to distinguish between ard airships and sunships. To them, both could bring down destructive devastation from the sky.
Moreover, with The Grand Marshal already beheaded by the Transia people and the entire frontline collapsing, the brutal reality left the awakened wolfn unable to turn the tide despite their desire to kill the enemy. However, compared to the oppression and fear on the body, the blow to the mind was the real fatal unguarded punch.
The once fanatics could persuade themselves that this Black Disaster and everything they did to destroy was to uphold the glory of The Master of Hunting, and the birth of the Divine Spirit was ant to protect wolfn civilization towards strength and world domination, and their sacrifice was to bring prosperity to other kin, the birth of the Divine Spirit was based on the sa purpose.
However, the surviving wolfn on this battlefield almost all clearly rembered everything that had happened here.
Especially the scene where they were forced by the divine will of The Master of Hunting to launch a final, aningless assault beyond death at the Transia people after their frontal defeat; all this proclaid a cruel truth to the surviving wolfn.
The god they served with all their heart, the god they had suffered countless casualties to soon awaken, the god they claid would protect their kin toward becoming powerful...
Does not care about them at all!
The Master of Hunting only wanted to see rivers of blood, only wanted to harvest destruction and death, only wanted to turn the world into its own savage hunting grounds.
Would such a thing truly protect wolfn toward the future even if it was born?
No, no, no.
Anyone with so brain would guess that once The Master of Hunting is born, the first to perish would likely be those who worship Him like a god, the wolfn. He might indeed bring powerful strength to the wolfn, but this individual enhancent is realized at the expense of the collective future.
The more fanatical wolfn during the manipulation by the Divine Spirit just now could more clearly feel what kind of thing they were serving, this terrifying sense of disparity was enough to collapse those fanatics on a ntal level.
This is far more deadly than low morale...
Once awakened, the wolfn on the battlefield began to flee in disorder, at a speed even the Transia people found hard to chase down. They scread and escaped into the swamp, not even daring to look back at that flying Blood Banner.
However, so burly wolfn threw down their weapons, laying on the corpse-strewn battlefield, staring blankly at the sky that had lit up again, seemingly with their will removed, their spirits apparently already dead, leaving behind only this now insignificant shell.
Even the angry soldiers rushing up to stab them to death could not provoke more reaction; they were real living dead.
"It’s faith collapse, beyond saving."
A Silver Dwarf Earth Priest, clutching a remarkably bore-hand cannon, said to the nearby Transia militiaman:
"They finally realized they have always been praying for a future from a madman, they offered too much of their soul’s weight to The Master of Hunting, and after recognizing reality, their souls died before their bodies."
"Oh, so this ans those guys would die even if we leave them alone, right?"
The rough militiaman asked curiously, the Earth Priest shrugged, loaded a bullet into the hand cannon to aim at the wolfman, and pulled the trigger, blowing apart its hollow eyes with an explosion.
He blew the gunsmoke from his hand cannon, saying with revengeful delight:
"Why not add a sword thrust for good asure? Helping them physically accelerate death is fine, right? We have enough reasons to do so, everyone on this battlefield has the sa reason to hack every wolfman to pieces."
"Hmm, that makes sense!"
The militiaman was easily convinced, seizing his war halberd to dispatch the remaining few collapsed wolfn one by one.
However, in the midst of this slaughter, General Flandres stopped the soldiers’ actions of venting their anger. He loudly said:
"Bind these wolfn! Sir Murphy has ordered that they be sent as captives to labor sites across Transylvania, to serve as a warning to other invaders by working them to death."
"But we should kill them, General!"
A burly mountain soldier shouted:
"Leaving these wolfn alive is a scourge, they killed many of our brothers! They all deserve to die!"
"Alright, you can kill them, nobody here will report it."
