The Ratman boasted about his god with all his might, but only saw Huggesen’s disdainful gaze.
Only thirty thousand?
What is that good for?
Moreover, with the laughable physique of the Ratn, even thirty thousand gathered together probably couldn’t defeat even twenty thousand Gnolls. Their only advantage lies in their silent and swift underground digging.
In the war at Blackfla Mountain Pass, Huggesen was truly amazed by the Ratn’s tunneling ability. However, against a fortification of the Klim Fortress level, throwing in thirty thousand Ratn would hardly make a splash, but if this Dark Servant Ratn could be used well, perhaps they could serve as an unexpected force.
Huggesen squinted, already drawing several plans in his mind, but then looked at the three Ratn again; he was certain these creatures were still hiding sothing from him.
The most important of which was, of course, the feud between Murphy and the Lord of Darkness. Huggesen had no interest in the feud itself; he cared about the attitude of the Lord of Darkness.
To drive these Ratn to co so far to Transylvania and actively participate in such a war, to say this is rely out of hatred would be an insult to Huggesen’s intelligence.
There must be so hidden truths here.
Huggesen rolled his eyes and nodded, saying:
"Alright, I agree to let you join my army, but this is the army of The Master of Hunting, and to join it you must go through a loyalty ceremony."
"Boring! Bad things!"
The Ratman disdainfully flicked its tail and said:
"Do I have to kneel? No! I am a servant of the great darkness and cannot kneel to your god."
"The Master of Hunting is a Divine Spirit, and the Lord of Darkness is also a Divine Spirit. There’s no reason for one Divine Spirit to kneel to another. See, you can be considered a choice of the gods, too.
I am also a choice of the gods, so we must communicate in the manner of chosen ones,"
Huggesen patiently explained,
"It doesn’t require you to kneel to or my god, but since we swear to attack the sa enemy, naturally, we must show determination and bravery. So co, hold my weapon."
He pressed the Split Claw Warhamr into the ground and said to the three Ratn:
"Grip it, and swear an oath."
"Is it that simple?"
One Ratman, enlightened by the darkness, asked suspiciously, and Huggesen nodded, quietly summoning his Divine Power as he said:
"It’s that simple!"
"Alright!"
The Ratman stepped forward, reaching out to place its hand on Huggesen’s warhamr.
The mont of contact, a scarlet light unexpectedly coiled like a snake around the Ratman’s claw, and the destructive will of The Master of Hunting seeped into the Ratman’s pitiful soul, almost instantly dispelling the power of the Lord of Darkness that resided within the Ratman.
The Ratman before him imdiately beca dazed.
Huggesen squinted and asked:
"What does your master actually want from Murphy?"
"Candle... unlock the seal... in Murphy’s hand... ah, bad thing is talking to ..."
"Boom"
Before he finished his sentence, the Ratman before Huggesen collapsed like a sandcastle and vanished like being dragged into a vortex black hole, not a drop of blood was shed, and the dangerous darkness imdiately dimd the entire tent upon its appearance.
The light was absorbed by this blackness.
Huggesen recognized this imdiately; it was obviously the sa power used by the Transia Heroic Spirits for self-destruction earlier. It seems the encounter between the Ratn and the Lord of Darkness was far from as sacred and destined as they claid.
The truth was nothing more than a Devouring Light Ratman infected by the Lord of Darkness accidentally encountering a group of bewildered free Ratn, after which, through classic demonstrations of power and seduction, the Black Servant Clan was ford.
Ha, my earlier judgnt was correct.
This was rely a union of two evils.
This Lord of Darkness isn’t as powerful or great as it claims. To be so easily expelled by The Master of Hunting’s Divine Power shows that their forces aren’t even on the sa level, and that’s with The Master of Hunting not yet awakened.
In other words, these spectral Ancient Gods couldn’t compare to the likes of the newly created God like the God of the North Wind, or even to gods created in the subspace by the convergence of belief.
No wonder this Lord of Darkness is still pitifully searching for a candle to unseal itself. How powerful can a god who can be sealed be?
"You! Despicable Wolf People! Bad thing... squeak squeak! What are you doing?"
With the lead Ratman swallowed by the Devouring Light Power, the other two puppet-like Ratn behind it imdiately "woke up," one of them with a tail missing a part, scread:
"Are you declaring war on the Black Servant Clan? Are you plotting against us? Just like the despicable Murphy plotted against the great darkness, you are cut from the sa cloth!"
