This was a “supply” that Hog secured from the Blood Rat Gang for them; rely these coarse yet large, long-burning candles were enough for these simple-minded elite Gnolls to pledge their loyalty to Hog.
After all, the other Wolf-People Masters wouldn’t bother to actively find candles for their Gnoll Servants.
“Hog, are they coming or not?”
As Hog prepared for the impending “escape,” the toothless Wolfman Nash, who was beside him, approached and asked restlessly:
“It’s been seven sand glasses worth of ti already, and there’s still no movent.

Nash’s words imdiately drew approving howls from the other Wolf People.

Once they realized that their interests were aligned, they were capable of executing things well, even without Hog’s supervision.
Hog obviously believed this was how a qualified clan should operate.

Hog imitated the tone of Sir Morphy when he spoke, calmly addressing his restless kinsn:
“Of course we could leave now, but with only a few of us, even if we did make it back to Andaman Hills alive, we wouldn’t be significant to King Kenbort.
Have we made all these sacrifices just to go back and continue being cannon fodder?
No!
We are the pitiful ones who lost our clans and ford the Bloodclaw Clan, we’ve committed to surviving and living better.
We need them!
We need more stronger clanmates, just like a hunter needs ferocious hyenas.”
