Do wild elite fugitives randomly refresh and drop good equipnt?
Brothers, charge!
-【6/20】_1 (An extra chapter for the brother “Huo is Pretty Good”)
“Ding!”
The veteran player, ow Brother, was earnestly astride his demon-hunter horse in the manner befitting an oak knight, leading his buddies in the pursuit of a group of fleeing wolf people.
He wore a replica holy blade around his waist and swung the witch’s staff in his hand, throwing forward a thorny entanglent that tripped up the wolves, ready to step forward in high spirits to finish them off, but was unexpectedly interrupted by a soft sound popping up on his player interface.
Looking down, he found that his mission had been updated:
[Main mission updated!
The threat of the Wolf People within the boundaries of the Earl of Cardman’s territory has been reduced to below the safety threshold, the ‘Wolf People Disaster’ operation’s first stage has ended successfully, the second stage begins!
Hunting activities expand from the Cardman Earl’s territory to the entire Transylvania area!
Alert!
This stage will unlock the limited-ti team side mission ‘Decisive Battle on Andma Hill’, adding optional factions ‘Xico Wing Cavalry’ and a mysterious force.
For detailed information, please refer to the update post on the “Real Different World” official forum.]
“Damn!
This damn ga always updates sneakily!”
ow Brother cursed vehently.
But in fact, he had long felt that the wolf-people war was about to take a turn, the reason being very simple; recently, he and his brothers had been hunting wolf people in the baron’s territory, but both the quantity and quality of the enemies had declined drastically.
When the event first started, you could encounter at least two wolf nests with a thirty-minute horse ride, but now, even with the help of Yan Song’s eagle eye skill, they could only kill a few dozen wolf people in a day.
The harvest had plumted off a cliff.
But considering that the wolf-people plotline has been going on for fifteen days now, it wasn’t surprising.
There had been plenty of players enthusiastically slaughtering monsters in the territory of the Earl of Cardman, and the beasts couldn’t keep up.
They had probably killed enough wolf people to make a ring around the Earl’s territory several tis over.
Look at the top ten gods on this points leaderboard, each of them has racked up 1200 points, with Brother Cat and Sister Pogranate taking the lead with a shocking 1600 points.
In this realistic ga, even if the wolf people could respawn quickly, they couldn’t handle the onslaught of these killing gods.
“Surround them!
Surround them, capture those three gnoll elites and send them to the fighting club.”
ow Brother shouted at the twenty novice soldiers of the People’s Army who were following him.
These native NPCs obediently rushed forward on their horses, took control of the terrified and shivering wolf people and gnolls who had surrendered on the spot.
Because the rewards for simply killing monsters had sharply decreased, ow Brother’s group had no choice but to take on a “Train New Recruits” daily task from Maxim while they were out chasing wolf people.
You can take twenty each ti, and each task lasts 14 hours, which coincidentally is the total ga ti of a player in one day.
If the new recruits can keep up with their pace and partake in sufficient combat and tactical arrangents, you can earn 10 gold coins from Maxim once a task is completed.
But this is if none of the new recruits die!
If there is an unfortunate accident and one or two new recruits kick the bucket midway, the player will have to pay Maxim for the funeral expenses of the fallen.
The profits aren’t much, and there are risks; typically solo players wouldn’t take on the task, but it didn’t matter to ow Brother’s group, as they cared more about the reputation of the Cardman People’s Army, and they weren’t particularly short of money.
Fa is easy to acquire in this realistic ga prior to reaching the ‘respect’ level, but beyond that, you need to grind and spend ti.
Luckily, the NPCs in this ga are quite clever, they don’t need players to babysit them all the ti, as long as you don’t behave wildly when doing the task, it is very difficult to fail this daily task.
“Look!
Look!
The posts on the forum all say that the next step of the Wolf-People’s Big Hunt is indeed on Andma Hill, they’re finally going to deal with that wolf-like warlord who’s been eyeing us!”
Cousin Little Hands rode over to ow Brother and excitedly told his cousin:
“Brother, have a look at the post!
The NPC hiring you’ve been longing for is finally going to open!
Once this storyline is past, as long as you’ve got enough reputation, you can sign a hiring contract with the People’s Army.”
“Oh?”
ow Brother, who was complaining about the ga’s sneak-updates, imdiately grew interested.
He dismounted, tossed the reins to Little Hand, and leaned against a tree while drinking from his water-pouch and opening the in-ga forum.
The top sticky post of the day was about the ga update notice, still an online update, a small version:
[“Real Different World” Alpha2.1 Closed Beta Version Online Update Notice:
