The vampire race’s advantages don’t need much explanation, the powerful initial racial stats, flight ability, night empowernt, and specialized job paths and skill trees are all incredibly unique gaplay features.
But you also have to see this race’s huge disadvantages.
What Ah Yuen ntioned about Day’s Curse is just one aspect.
Even if you give up playti during the day, it still ans you at least have nights as your main stage. With the publicly available race data, a sa-level player at night is absolutely no match for a vampire of the sa rank.
So the day/night distinction is actually the least important factor to discuss in my opinion.
After all, there are gains and losses for balance.
What I want to talk about are the last two of the vampire’s six racial traits, regarding “Reclusive Blood Clan” and “Eternal Sin Descendant”, they just seem to reduce charm and affect reputation gain, right?
Actually, it’s not that simple!
If you dig deeper, you’ll understand that these two traits are the vampire race’s most severe drawbacks.】

But as the saying goes, you can’t have everything.
The factional reputations between the seven major clans may not necessarily be worse than other races, and the Transia newbie village definitely doesn’t have this distinction. It’s probably only after the world map opens up and more reputations are unlocked that there will be a difference.
The above are just my personal guesses based on my current in-ga observations. And this is ultimately a matter of different strokes for different folks.
So in my opinion, if you’re a quest junkie, collector, or 100% achievent hunter, then don’t pick vampire, you’ll just be cutting off your own enjoynt of the ga.
I’m specifically calling out Lumina here.
