"Okay, just wait for a bit. I haven’t gotten dressed or freshened up yet," Wu ngting said, a bit shyly.
Although Chen Tianlong couldn’t see her, she was wearing a thin, slightly transparent nightgown. As she ntioned she wasn’t properly dressed, she inadvertently glanced at herself under the covers, her face imdiately turning rosy.
"Alright, no rush. We still have ti," Chen Tianlong was easygoing, knowing the morning had no classes and they could stay until two in the afternoon.
About twenty minutes later, Wu ngting’s face suddenly appeared downstairs at the girls’ dormitory. Chen Tianlong waved at her from afar. At that mont, Wu ngting looked absolutely beautiful, being full of energy from just waking up and having applied light makeup, making her appear stunning.
"ngting, you’re so beautiful!" Chen Tianlong said with a slight grin.
"Hehe, Tianlong, you’re such a sweet talker... Do you say these things to other girls too?"
As Wu ngting said this, she intentionally watched Chen Tianlong’s expression. Although she said it casually, she really wanted to know Chen Tianlong’s answer.
It’s true what they say, the heart of a girl is not simple. Don’t think you can just say anything and get away with it; if there’s sothing fishy, she’ll catch on quickly.
Luckily, Chen Tianlong hadn’t said such things to anyone else, at least not seriously.
"No, my sweet words are only for my ngting," Chen Tianlong said earnestly.
Wu ngting didn’t reply, she simply stepped forward and took Chen Tianlong’s hand, because she knew his words were sincere, but not necessarily exclusive.
There were many beautiful won around Chen Tianlong, and just the presence of that particular young lady was enough to unsettle Wu ngting.
However, ngting’s love for Chen Tianlong was genuine; at that mont, she just wanted to enjoy every happy day with him. As for the future, she didn’t want to think too much, nor did she dare to.
Seeing ngting smile without speaking, Chen Tianlong understood. He too had uncertainties; was he truly able to love ngting wholeheartedly?
Every ti he pondered this question, he got a headache.
The only thing Chen Tianlong could do was to hold Wu ngting’s hand tightly. Wu ngting clearly felt the strength in his grip, so she slightly raised her head and looked at Chen Tianlong, only to see a look of affection mixed with apology in his eyes.
"Chen Tianlong, whether or not you want in the future, I will always love you." This was the first ti Wu ngting had confessed so plainly, a seemingly casual sentence that embodied her unwavering loyalty to their love.
Chen Tianlong wrapped his arms around ngting, ignoring the envious glances from the passersby. Handso guy with a beautiful girl—that’s been a myth admired for ages.
Little did people know, in modern society, where wealth reigns, how many handso guys are paired with beauties? It’s mostly rich ugly guys with pretty girls and wealthy won with handso n.
After holding each other for a while, it was Wu ngting who pushed away, knowing that being too obvious at school could spark unnecessary gossip.
Chen Tianlong also understood ngting’s concerns, so he directly took her hand and led her outside.
On a small food street nearby, there was an outdoor snack shop selling sesa soup. They’d been there quite a few tis before, so the owner recognized them.
"Boss, give two bowls of sesa soup, extra peanuts, a bottle of red tea, and a bottle of beer," Chen Tianlong instructed the owner, "Oh, and rember not to add too much salt to the peanuts."
"Sure, the two of you please wait a mont," the owner responded with a simple grin.
Even though what Chen Tianlong said was ordinary, to Wu ngting’s ears, it was incredibly moving.
Because every ti she ate peanuts, she didn’t like them too salty, and Chen Tianlong rembered this small detail, proving she was always in his heart.
After about ten minutes, two bowls of sesa soup, a large pile of peanuts, and so cold dishes were placed on a small table. Chen Tianlong took a small cup, poured so red tea for Wu ngting, and then poured himself a cup of beer.
"ngting, let’s toast,"
Chen Tianlong said with a faint smile, in such a picturesque mont beneath the sunny sky, in a quiet street, a couple couldn’t be more at ease. If this scenery were frozen in ti, it would indeed be a beautiful painting.
"Okay, cheers."
Wu ngting lifted her cup of red tea, while Chen Tianlong raised his cup of beer. After clinking their drinks, they both downed them.
After drinking, they exchanged smiles, everything said without words.
After eating for a while, suddenly a voice drew their attention, causing them to look towards the source together.
To Wu ngting, these people were strangers, but to Chen Tianlong, they were familiar faces.
"Hey, I wondered who it was. Isn’t it you, the guy I saw this morning?"
Lao Guoqiang also had no classes, and after a phone call with his dad revealing the truth, he was in a great mood. Just then, the Hao family’s Hao Ren had also contacted him, given that Lao Guoqiang’s visit to South Sea No.1 Middle School was mostly because of the Hao family.
"Oh, is there sothing you need, Lao Guoqiang?" Chen Tianlong was enjoying the food with Wu ngting and didn’t want to be disturbed.
"Hehe, nothing much, just saying hi since I saw you. No need to get too excited,"
Deep down, Lao Guoqiang despised Chen Tianlong, wishing he could rush over and give him a good beating. But he couldn’t, not without fully understanding Chen Tianlong’s background and strength.
"Oh, no need to greet , I’m not familiar with you," Chen Tianlong said coldly and continued munching on peanuts and sipping his drink.
Standing nearby, Hao Ren stepped forward with a complex expression. The Hao family and Chen Tianlong had deep-seated animosity. The last ti, no one knew what strings Chen Tianlong pulled to get out of prison.
"Chen Tianlong, long ti no see."
Hao Ren gave a cold smile. After so ti of adjustnt, his father sent him to the Celestial Martial Sect, and his skills improved to the point where he didn’t fear Chen Tianlong much.
"Haha, I’ve been well. Not sure if the old mbers of the Hao family are still alive?" Chen Tianlong’s hatred for the Hao family had evidently deepened. Given the chance, he’d want the Hao family wiped out.
"Hmph!"
Hao Ren was still a bit cautious. Previously, his senior brother Xuan Jing was defeated by him; clearly, this guy could fight above his level—an opponent not to be underestimated.
Hao Ren thought this might be chance with one person, but if he could do it again, winning against another, there was only one explanation: Chen Tianlong was suppressing his true strength. Exactly what his capabilities were remained unknown.
Thinking of this, Hao Ren cald down quickly and hastily told Lao Guoqiang beside him: "Qiang, let’s eat sothing first. I’m feeling a bit hungry."
Hao Ren had forgotten to set the alarm clock and found himself getting up way too late for breakfast. So, he drove straight to school, knowing he was free after the second class. He planned to grab sothing to eat later.
"Alright then."
Lao Guoqiang had wanted to argue more with Chen Tianlong but noticed Hao Ren didn’t seem keen on provoking him either, feeling sowhat frustrated. Thus, he suppressed his anger for now and sat down at a nearby table.
Unable to confront Chen Tianlong, Lao Guoqiang figured out soone to vent his frustration on and finally settled his gaze upon the sesa soup stall owner, calling out, "Hey boss, get two cases of beer and five pounds of beef first."
"Huh? Guys, this is a sesa soup stall, not a big restaurant. I don’t have five pounds of beef, but I can get you two cases of beer," the boss said blankly.
"Don’t give excuses. If you don’t have it here, go buy so from the supermarket or market," Lao Guoqiang snapped. He was intent on venting his anger on the owner, not caring how he achieved this demand.
