Su Chen thought for a mont, then shook his head. "Forget it. As long as they don’t target , it’s fine."

He temporarily put the matter aside and continued his training.

Over the next few days, Gu Zhengting contacted several factions on his behalf and attended nurous banquets. In the end, he narrowed it down to three families.

"The Wang Family made their fortune by reselling Potions and have strong connections in the Pharmacy Departnt..."

"The Tie Family has branches in many subordinate cities and relies on various mineral resources..."

"These two families can consolidate the channels for Potions and tal materials. More importantly, their family’s power isn’t too substantial, making them easy to control..."

Gu Bing continued to explain, "As for the Zhou Family and the Sun Family, they’re part of the city’s upper echelon. They aren’t offering much, but the main purpose of contacting them is to make a statent—that we don’t want to remain outside the core circle."

"Also, regarding the Contracts you gave us, we did a rough calculation. Their theoretical value should be around ten million gold. If you want to sell them off, their value will likely drop by forty percent..."

"No need to sell. Just keep them in operation." Su Chen cut her off with a wave of his hand. He consud about five million gold worth of Support Potions alone each month. This was only a two-month supply.

He had decided to be a hands-off manager and leave it to the Gu Family.

"I don’t have much use for the money. Oh, right, could you help pay a hundred thousand gold to logistics?"

"Okay." Gu Bing nodded, making a note of it.

"By the way..." Her gaze drifted, and she hesitated. "My grandfather asked to ask you if you have ti to co over for a..."

Before she could finish, she saw Su Chen’s expression change. With a sonic BOOM and arcs of electricity, he shot into the basent.

"So, so, so fast..." Gu Bing was so stunned she forgot what she was going to say.

Closing the door to the Gravity Chamber behind him, Su Chen’s expression shifted. He sensed that his Spirit Seed was about to be annihilated.

’It was discovered? How could it be so fast? Does he know I’m the one who planted it?’

Su Chen needed to figure this out. He sent out his Spiritual Power, attempting to connect.

The scene before him blurred, and a furious shout echoed in his ears, "ng Qi, you’re courting death!"

"I’m a Core Seed of the Judicial Court! What do you think you’re doing!"

’Where is this?’ Su Chen took in his surroundings, uncertain and alard.

It was a dim room. Zhu Xuan seed to be bound to a tal fra, and several figures shrouded in black robes stood before him. ng Qi was right in front.

But unlike his timid and fearful deanor during the assessnt, ng Qi’s face now only showed suppressed excitent.

"Zhu Xuan, oh, Zhu Xuan, I’ve waited more than half a year for this opportunity." ng Qi paced back and forth. "You almost never leave the Judicial Court, and even when you do, you’re always surrounded by people."

"Playing the fool by your side for half a year was so disgusting it made sick."

"You... you..." Zhu Xuan was both shocked and enraged. "If you kill , the Judicial Court will turn Ying Feng upside down to get to the bottom of this."

"Of course, of course..." ng Qi said nonchalantly. "Killing people like you isn’t very cost-effective. We only need to get rid of you at certain specific monts."

"Besides, who said I was going to kill you?" A strange, cunning smile appeared on ng Qi’s face.

Su Chen’s heart skipped a beat. Using Zhu Xuan’s peripheral vision, he noticed soone hunched over, drawing sothing on his body.

From beneath the black robe, long, slender fingernails were dipped into a translucent, whitish liquid in a bronze container.

There only seed to be a tiny amount of the liquid, but no matter how much was used, it never seed to diminish.

’So that’s the stuff that’s nearly annihilating my Spirit Seed.’ Su Chen realized that the closer the person got to finishing the drawing, the more violently his Spirit Seed trembled.

Amidst Zhu Xuan’s roars, the drawing was finally complete.

The surroundings beca extrely blurry. His Spirit Seed was on the verge of annihilation, and Su Chen couldn’t see what had been drawn.

But he could see that the face of the black-robed person slowly standing up had no features.

’A Faceless Man! It really is a Deceitful God’s Follower!’ Su Chen was shaken. Only a Deceitful God’s Follower could create such a bizarre scene.

"You can begin," the Faceless Ghost Follower said in a low voice as he stepped aside.

’The Follower is very respectful. This guy’s status must be high. How did he infiltrate the Judicial Court?’ Su Chen wondered.

ng Qi took a deep breath and began to chant. Su Chen couldn’t understand the words.

But as the chanting grew louder, grayish-white chains gradually appeared on both ng Qi and Zhu Xuan’s bodies, as if rooted within them. Faintly, so kind of substance could be seen flowing between the two.

ng Qi’s body began to twist, and nurous symbols surfaced on his skin, making it seem as if his entire body was composed of them. Zhu Xuan let out a pained wail.

’What the f—’

Under Su Chen’s horrified gaze, ng Qi’s lting facial features were reshaped, gradually transforming into Zhu Xuan’s likeness. His height, hair color, and skin tone all began to match.

’Is this the power of the Faceless Ghost?’ A chill ran down Su Chen’s spine. This transformation was clearly not a simple disguise.

"Haaa..."

The transformation finally ended. The grayish-white chains between them vanished. "Zhu Xuan" exhaled, stretched his limbs, and let out a comfortable groan. "Worthy of the Ink Jade Talent, Tier Three Top..."

"Deceitful God... You actually..." Zhu Xuan spoke, his voice extrely weak. "You actually colluded with a Deceitful God."

Following Zhu Xuan’s gaze, Su Chen looked down and saw that his body had beco withered and gaunt, as if he had been drained dry.

"...Worthy of a Top-tier Profession..." ng Qi praised, as his body gradually transford, enveloped in blood-red flas.

’He can even replace professions?’ Su Chen’s expression grew even more solemn.

Zhu Xuan’s expression froze; he was clearly stunned as well. Such a thod was simply unheard of.

He roared, "Who are you?! A re Follower of the Faceless Ghost could never do sothing like this!"

"A pity that the Spirit Body can’t be faked for now..." ng Qi shook his head, reverting to his original appearance.

He mused, "Hmm, who’s next? Su Chen... He seems quite powerful, and Black Tuo covets him. I’d also love to know what secrets he’s hiding."

"Unfortunately, he’s also a hobody. It’s impossible to predict when he’ll even go out. A bit troubleso."

’This guy is targeting ...’ A cold silence fell over Su Chen’s heart.

"You want to go after Su Chen?" Zhu Xuan sneered. He had already foreseen his own end, and though his heart was filled with despair, he still gritted his teeth.

"In your dreams! He’s far more cunning than I am. You’ll die without a place to be buried!"

It was as if only by relying on Su Chen could he dispel his current resentnt and fear of death.

’How am I cunning...’ Su Chen muttered to himself. Zhu Xuan, however, seed to be facing death with magnanimity, not begging for rcy.

ng Qi was not disturbed by these words. He turned to the Follower beside him and asked, "Have you found the Black Tuo Divine Blood?"

The Faceless Ghost Follower shook his head. "No. Because of Liu Chen’s death, we’ve forbidden them from making any moves. The Black Tuo Followers have been going crazy lately."

ng Qi nodded. "After I get back, I’ll challenge a Core Seed too to raise my status. It should make it easier for to act than the Black Tuo Followers."

He could barely see anything now. Su Chen struggled to maintain the Spiritual Linkage, only managing to hear ng Qi’s last sentence.

"I will find the Black Tuo Divine Blood as soon as possible and get the thod to control the Divine Blood from those Black Tuo Followers. Otherwise... it will be difficult to get that Stone Slab out."

"Yes..." The Faceless Ghost Follower nodded, then looked at the weakened Zhu Xuan. "What about him?"

"The death of a Core Seed would probably cause a huge uproar..."

...

The Spirit Seed had been completely annihilated. He had no way of knowing Zhu Xuan’s fate.

Su Chen returned to his senses and remained silent for a long ti.

’These guys might be cooperating, but they all have their own sches. This... thing, whatever he is, is after the Stone Slab? What Stone Slab?’

’I don’t know if reporting him will do any good. Whatever, I’ll figure out how to report him first and see what happens.’

"No." Su Chen shook his head again. ’If I only target him, he might notice sothing is off... I might as well report all of them...’

’And that Black Tuo Divine Blood, the thod to control the Divine Blood...’

He was holding the Black Tuo Divine Blood. While it wasn’t exactly a hot potato, having a thod to control it would be a useful tool.

A sharp glint flashed in his eyes. ’When it cos to finding the Black Tuo Followers, no one is faster than .’
