The surrounding Nether Fog swirled. Within the glass bottle in Su Chen’s hand, crimson arcs of electricity writhed and clashed like living creatures. The potion had the texture of translucent amber, and the electric serpents swimming inside constantly burst into sparks.
’Giving a Double Experience Card is one thing, but I didn’t expect it to grant a physical item. This thing has to have co from sowhere, right? Or did the panel just create it out of thin air?’
[Punishnt Thunder Potion (Special Item): Directly completes any Thunder Attribute-related Profession requirent of Tier Six or below.]
’It can directly complete a specific requirent?’ Su Chen was quite surprised. ’Tier Six and below... that ans it can only be used on my main Profession... Not bad, not bad at all.’
He was very satisfied with this. Combined with the various essences he had on hand, a proper application could save him a great deal of ti and effort.
"Great Venerable, oh Great Venerable, I wonder what other goodies you’ve got hidden up your sleeve," Su Chen muttered, putting the Punishnt Thunder Potion away for now.
His gaze then fell upon the two new Professions he had obtained. He glanced at his remaining essences. He didn’t have much left.
He only had one portion of Faceless Ghost Essence. The Sly Fox Essence, which increased rewards, was gone, and he only had one portion of the Crimson Essence, which reduced difficulty.
From his recent questioning of Lan Hao, he had already learned the abilities of these two Professions.
The Endurance Walker could convert injuries it sustained into Healing Power, store it, and then release it after a battle to recover.
The Nourisher, however, was different. It absorbed a target’s life essence during battle to repair itself.
The abilities of both Professions were quite impressive. The Endurance Walker, in particular, could synergize with the Life Burner.
A portion of the damage caused by the Life Burner could be recovered, allowing one to continue burning for even greater enhancents.
However, the advancent requirents weren’t easy either.
’There’s no such thing as a simple fatal wound.’ Su Chen’s brow furrowed slightly. As a Professional who had undergone constant physical enhancent, his own regenerative abilities weren’t low.
But a fatal wound was, by definition, almost lethal. Recovering from one would take a significant amount of ti.
The only good thing about this requirent was that it didn’t specify the source of the fatal wound. It could be attempted in a controlled dical environnt without any real risk. It was purely a matter of waiting it out.
’I wonder how long it would take for to recover from a fatal wound. Would ten days be enough?’ he speculated.
The Nourisher’s heart collection requirent didn’t seem too difficult. It just required a great deal of manpower and resources.
’Now that it’s been reduced to only a hundred types of hearts, Red Thunder Star should be able to provide them.’
Compared to collecting the hearts of different species, the most difficult part was the third requirent: the Eternally Withered Flower.
According to Lan Hao’s explanation, it was a plant that grew in the Nether Realm. It existed on the border between life and death, half-alive, and to revive it...
One would need to drink large quantities of Life Dew, then have their blood drawn and cryogenically stored. This process would need to be repeated ten to twenty tis to collect enough blood.
The Lan Family had mbers advance into these Professions countless tis, so they already had a well-established and effective procedure.
"Tsk... The Profession requirents are so bizarre. You’d have to be incredibly lucky to assemble a complete Holy Profession."
After his contact with Qing Cang and the others, Su Chen realized more and more just how precious his panel was. He absolutely could not let a single hint of it leak out.
’According to Lan Hao, this is the advancent order for those in his family who want to beco a Phoenix. Since there’s a set order, I should prepare for Endurance Walker first.’
Su Chen mused on this. He knew too little about Holy Professions. The things Wan Chen had told him were basically open secrets. It was better to follow the sequence Lan Hao had described.
With the Faceless Ghost Essence in hand, he used it imdiately.
[The Faceless Ghost Essence erodes the Endurance Walker, forcing it into a frenzied state. Its second advancent requirent has been erased.]
The requirent to recover from a fatal wound was erased.
Su Chen raised an eyebrow. The requirent that the Great Venerable had removed as a favor was this very sa one. It seed a bit redundant.
However, when he obtained the essence, he had anticipated this might happen. His luck couldn’t be perfect forever.
’At least it didn’t erase the first advancent requirent, which I’ve already completed. That’s good enough. It still saved a fair bit of ti and effort.’
"Then the only thing left is the sap of the Immortal Ancient Tree." Su Chen’s eyes scanned the requirents. "According to Lan Hao, this stuff is a raw material for many potions, and the Sect has a large supply. It shouldn’t be too hard to get. I wonder if Red Thunder Star has any..."
For now, the only essence he could use was the one from the Faceless Ghost. If he wanted to manipulate the requirents further, he would have to wait for the Deceitful God’s Power from other cities to arrive before he could forge more.
Su Chen took a wide detour through the Nether Fog, returning to the settlent from another direction. He moved quickly and silently, blending seamlessly back into the crowd.
Figures bustled around him. Su Chen’s eyes flickered. He had more or less dealt with his recent gains, but there was still one troubleso matter to attend to.
’The Town Guard Army...’
The arrival of people from the Royal Court was not a good thing for him. If the Great Venerable Red Fla Thunder Resonator’s spiritual essence was stolen, he would be completely out of luck.
But this was no longer a problem he could solve on his own. The best course of action would be to inform Qing Cang, but explaining the whole situation from beginning to end would be very complicated.
This matter most likely involved the internal struggles of the Bronze Sect. Even if he brought up Lan Hao, he might not be able to prove anything and would only end up getting dragged into the ss himself.
Besides, he was still wary of Qing Cang. His level of trust in him was not high.
Although everyone said the man would take him on as a student, he had yet to make an offer, and Su Chen had no idea what he was thinking.
