Safety Volunteer
"Hey, hey! Since everyone is wearing suits, let's go patrol the town together!"
Once everyone finished changing into their battle suits, Serai-san ca up with another outrageous idea. Hold on, Serai-san, wait a mont. It may sound strange coming from . But wandering around the town in this outfit is quite sothing.
"Yeah, Machi-chan, let's go! I'll tell my mom, heeey Mom!"
But seemingly ecstatic about her exclusive suit, Ruka dashed off to Ruu's Mom without waiting for a response.
"Hehe Ruu-chan seed really happy with the present from over here."
As I watched Ruu's back, Ninna-san comnted on it. Now that she ntions it, I've never really given Ruu a proper gift. If it weren't for Ninna-san, I wouldn't have realized. Well, I did think about it. But figuring out when and what kind of gift to give to a woman was challenging.
"Just give it when you feel it's the right ti."
Does Nina-san, the love expert, understand everything I've been thinking?
"Hehehe~. I'm fine with the shiny bar you lent the other day, Egetsu-san!"
Serai-san, not content with Katsuo-kun's bat, intends to take Excalibar from too.

Ah. Well, even if I wanted to stop Ruu. She went out without waiting. If your daughter suddenly appears all golden, Ruu's Mom would be surprised.

So, amidst all that, we ended up going on a city patrol fully ard. A state of ergency has been declared by the country, urging people to refrain from going out. While there are no specific penalties for that, if we're spotted by police or self-defense forces, we'll probably get at least a warning. Well, just a warning, right? At the very least, we might get charged with an offense related to preparing weapons.
However, Ruu's Mom had prepared sothing very useful for us. It was a vest and sash from the traffic guidance volunteer work she used to do during Ruu's elentary school days. Ruu's Mom would stand at intersections as a traffic volunteer, connecting with Ruu's classmates and making sure Ruu, who couldn't attend school regularly due to illness, didn't feel isolated. Yeah, she's a truly caring mother.
The green vest of the traffic guidance volunteer, due to size constraints, was worn by Ruu in the Bug King Suit II, and I wore the sash with "Traffic Safety" written on it, having lost to rock-paper-scissors.
In other words, despite all of us ard with weapons like bats in weird, unidentifiable outfits, we were promoting traffic safety with vests and sashes. It was a bizarre and eerie presence wandering through the city.
"Hmm, there's no one around at all."
"Well, it's because of the self-restraint period."
After circling the apartnt with food supplies, we aimlessly walked around.
The area around Ruka's apartnt didn't cause much commotion even during Monster Stampede. It must have been geographically fortunate.
"Oh, soone seems to be in trouble over there. Um, what's wrong?"
In her usual manner, Ruu ran to the elderly couple. However, the elderly couple trembled at the sight of Ruka.
"Uh sorry! Coach, could you open this part of the face, please?"
Apologizing for startling the elderly couple, Ruu returned and asked .
"Well, I can open it, but aren't you embarrassed?"
"Um, well when I wear this, I feel protected by Coach, and it gives courage!"
Ah, that must be the hero effect. When I wear the Bug King Suit, courage naturally wells up in too.
"Got it. Then stay still. (Floaty.)"
"Thank you very much. I'll talk to them again! (Heehee!)"
"Wow, it's rare to see Ruu acting on her own like that."
"Yeah, she's always hiding behind Machi."
Watching Ruka running to the elderly couple, Serai-san and Nina-san expressed their surprise. Indeed, when they ntion it, that's true. It's rare to see Ruu so lively.
"Coach, the old man hurt his hip and wants to go to the hospital."
"I see. It's unfortunate at a ti like this. Well, since we're here, let's escort them."

Ruu, who was usually timid, was confidently chatting with strangers. Is it because of the suit, or perhaps her mind has cald down through ditation? Either way, it's a joy to see Ruka's grown-up appearance.
