The Conclusion Dragged On
"Alright, this one's done. Now that we've got all the parts, let's put them together and try it on."

We had been crafting claw weapons using magically enhanced materials.
However, since Ruu and Nina-san had beco quite skilled at making my additional armor, they quickly managed to create four sets of equipnt. Naturally, we decided to use the shell of the giant red scorpion to make a suit as well.
And thus, the specialized red scorpion suit for Nina-san was completed.
"I'm going to go change, so you all wait here. Machi, help out."
"Sure, no problem~"
"Oh, I'll help too, Shizu-chan!"
With such lively chatter, the three of them moved from the balcony to Ruu's room.

As things quieted down, I could hear the voice from the radio Ruu's mom was listening to in the living room.
Hmm... We've been quietly working on processing and crafting supplies for the past four days, during which ti the Self-Defense Forces have been quite active. It's as if they suddenly got serious and started eradicating monsters.
I was quite shocked when combat helicopters flew overhead while we were moving.
But I never expected tanks to be deployed in the city. Of course, they couldn't fire their main guns in such a densely populated area, so instead, they resorted to mowing down monsters with machine gun fire and running them over in what could only be described as a brutal display of "anything goes."
Since communication infrastructure was restored, civilians have been uploading raw, unedited footage from their devices. Because many employees at video platform companies are also in evacuation, these grueso videos have remained online for days without being removed.
I took out my device and rewatched a video I had seen this morning.
[Ratatatat...! Ratatatatat...! Clang-clang-clang! Vroooom!! (Screech! Gyaaargh!!)]
In the video, a Type 90 tank was pivoting at a large intersection, tearing up the asphalt without concern. It turned to face a group of monsters, then charged at full speed to slam into them...
There was no longer any hesitation about damaging abandoned vehicles. It was as if each mber of the Self-Defense Forces had turned into a monster-slaying machine.
(What on earth happened to make the Self-Defense Forces change so drastically? Did a state guest or an important national figure die because of this disaster...?)

After so ti, Nina-san returned wearing the new suit.
"Check out my new outfit!"
"Wow, it's so vibrant! It really suits you!"
The sight of the elegant Nina-san in this form struck a deep chord in any geek's heart, making it unimaginably captivating.
Nina-san's red scorpion suit retained the previous design's overall structure but replaced the bat-like wrist cuffs with gauntlet-style armor. Additionally, new claw saws were attached to the long shins, boosting not only defense but also attack power. At her request, the shoulder parts were reinforced with thicker exoskeletons for added protection.
"I thought it would be flashier, but when Shizu wears it, it sohow looks refined."
"Yeah, Shizu-chan, you look amazing!"
Indeed, as they said, despite being bright red, the suit appeared surprisingly elegant on Nina-san.
Well, that's true. Even globally famous red sports cars never seem gaudy due to their design and aesthetic appeal. So why do I always end up looking like a parade float??
"Thanks. Hmm, but this suit is a bit less maneuverable than before..."
"Yeah, the giant red scorpion's shell is sturdy but less flexible compared to the Bug King suit. If it becos too problematic, we can change just the moving parts."
"No, it's fine as is. I prefer having more defense since I tend to wait and counterattack."
"Alright, but let know if it causes any issues. Though, you can probably fix it yourself now."

"But Machi-chan's suit can fly, right?"
"Yeah, but it's not exactly under my control..."
"Well, since we're learning how to process materials ourselves, you'll probably discover sothing while maintaining it."
"That's true. Though... I'm still afraid of heights."

"How about we fly out to the river again to practice? The wind's good today."
"I said no more of that already! Seriously, stop!!"
