As the group walked out of the transfer station, Lake could see that everyone had a renewed sense of invigoration.
Landur and Jayce had a joyful aura around them while maintaining a calm face, making them look as if they had just received enlightennt.
Hana was a lot different from them as she wore her emotions on her face, showing a blissful smile.
"Urgh- I need to get cleaned up." As if she just realized sothing, Hana looked at her body that was covered in blood and dirt, "If I’m going to be walking around for the festival, I need to at least look my best!"
Landur and Jayce, who just had an enlightened expression, suddenly froze as they raised their armpits to take a whiff.
"Urgh- I think I also need to take a bath..."
"Urgh- too..."
When Gwen heard this, she looked over to the three before smiling weakly.
"I also need to take a bath..."
"Everyone needs to take a bath, so let’s hurry up and rent a hotel room or sothing!" Hana shouted out as she started walking off with Landur and Jayce behind her.
Gwen nodded her head in agreent but didn’t follow, "Indeed, we all need to take a bath and probably get a change of clothes, but before that, I have to ask if any of you brought any money?"
"..."
The group of three walking ahead suddenly froze in place.
Gwen continued to speak calmly, "Since none of you brought any money, I wonder how you’re going to achieve that?"
"..."
Silence descended onto the three.
After a few seconds, they all eventually turned around with their heads lowered.
"That’s right... we didn’t bring any money..."
"We got so accustod to the academy’s points that I forgot about such a basic thing..."
"My bath..."
Everyone was given a reality check as they stared at the ground in a daze.
Lake could even see so tears welling up at the corner of Hana’s eyes.
"I finally got a vacation -hic- and the chance to enjoy myself -sniffle-, but when I was about to go out, I realized that I had no money..."
Seeing the twenty year old woman about to cry in front of him, Lake was slightly speechless.
Gwen shook her head at this before speaking out, "Since this situation evolves from the failure of the teleporter, I’ll try to contact the academy and have them book us a room or at least find us a place to stay the night. Although we’ll still be broke, at least we’ll have sowhere to wash up and sleep."
Hearing this, the group seed to have recovered sowhat but they still seed a little down.
At this point, Lake had seen enough and was about to follow Gwen’s arrangents when he suddenly thought of sothing.
"Actually, I do have so money on ..."

Lake walked out of the bathroom with a towel around his shoulders.
Although neither the sll or blood bothered him personally, after he cleaned it off, he really did feel much lighter.
Walking into the living room, he could see Hana lying on the sofa with a blissful expression on her face.
With all the dirt and blood that covered her face gone, Hana’s beauty was revealed for him to see.
He never really noticed it before, because he didn’t particularly care, but after seeing the contrast from on the battlefield to after she cleaned up, even he could see that she was actually incredibly beautiful.
"If only it wasn’t for her personality..." Lake silently thought to himself as he sat down on the couch to the side of her.
"Where’s Gwen?"
"Huh? Oh. She left to report to the academy after she finished her bath..." Hana answered lazily as she sank further into the soft sofa.
They were currently in the hotel the academy had booked for them after learning of their situation.
Even though Lake said he had money on him, they decided to still ask the academy to book the hotel room for them as it would be far less troubleso and also cost less money that way.
In the end, they managed to secure two rooms in a slightly high end hotel.
After asking about Gwen’s whereabouts, Lake didn’t continue to ask further.
Instead he opened his status screen to check the changes.

After seeing that there weren’t any noticeable changes in his stats beside the mana related ones, Lake stopped paying attention to them.
His Mana Heart was always running when he wasn’t in combat, or required to heavily focus on sothing, so his mana would only continue to increase as ti went on.
At the current rate, Lake estimated that he would be able to reach Martial Warrior in less than a month.
Looking at his skills, Lake began to ponder.
With his current amount of RP points, he could upgrade any one of his skills but his attention was focused on two in particular.
Observer of Fate lv2 (10,000 RP to upgrade)
Writer of Fate lv1 (10,000 RP to upgrade)
These were the two skills of the Master of Fate role. Originally, he had planned to upgrade the Observer of Fate skill. However, now that his mana capacity was constantly increasing, the value of the Writer of Fate skill had started to increase.
At its current level, Lake could only influence a person’s fate vaguely, such as rewriting it so they’ll have a lucky encounter, have a misfortunate encounter, or have an accident and so on.
He couldn’t write sothing like where they would have the encounter, how lucky they would be or how and when it would go wrong. Everything was still mostly in the hands of their own fate which Lake could only slightly influence.
However, if he were to increase the level of the skill, he couldn’t help but wonder just how much control would he have over soone’s future.
After thinking about it for longer, Lake ultimately decided to stick with his decision to upgrade the Observer of Fate however.
The current quest required him to prepare against an unknown force and the Observer of Fate skill was primarily an information gathering skill.
If by leveling it he could see through more of the world and possibly peer into the future of soone, he could easily figure out what could, or rather would, go wrong, what he was up against, and how to counter it.
Glancing at Hana who had sunk into the sofa, Lake pretended to do the sa as he closed his eyes.
If one were to look at him from outside, it would look like he had fallen asleep.

As Lake sank into the sofa, his senses slowly faded.
When everything had faded away and Lake could no longer sense his surroundings, he subconsciously tried to open his eyes.
"...Where am I?"
Lake stared blankly at the sight in front of him.
He had never seen anything like what he was seeing in front of him before.
The colorful lights continued to flash in front of him as a world like nothing he had never before seen was revealed to him.
[Host has entered the Simplistic Realm. Please do not be alard.]
At this point, the system revealed a piece of information to him.
"...Simplistic Realm?" Lake stared blankly for a mont before trying to ask the system for an explanation.
[In order to proceed with the upgrade of the Observer of Fate skill, the host was required to pay a visit to the Simplistic Realm. Once the upgrade is finished, the host’s consciousness will be returned to his body.]
Hearing this, Lake seed to vaguely understand what was going on, but when he looked at his surroundings, he was instantly lost once more.
The world he was in was one devoid of anything but those flashing lights that constantly changed color. Besides that, the area could be described as a white void but sotis it would change to a black void, a red void, a green void and countless other colors, blurring Lake’s perception of his surroundings.
Sotis the flashing lights would appear right in front of him and Lake would reach out to it, only to find out that it was actually thousands of miles away from him.
Other tis, the lights would appear further away than the distances between the sun and the earth, yet when Lake reached out, it was actually right in front of him.
Everything in this world ssed with Lake’s senses and screwed with his perception.
However, despite not knowing what was going on, Lake felt strangely comfortable in this twisting and warping environnt. He didn’t know how to describe it, but everything just felt... right.
As Lake was imrsing himself in this strange realm, one of the flashing lights was quickly flying towards him.
When he noticed it, the flashing light had already flown straight into his body.
Instantly, he felt a familiar mind numbing headache as enormous volus of information flooded into his mind.
This ti, he wasn’t able to endure the pain and imdiately passed out.
