Lake stood there in amazent as he watched the mana in the environnt start forming cyclones around Kate, attracting the surrounding mana within a hundred ter radius.
Above her head, the light from the shining stars and moon were illuminating Kate’s entire body, forming a celestial aura around her as the astral energy slowly flowed into the mana cyclones surrounding her.
After all the cyclones were ford, Lake, who had already stepped back, was able to see exactly what was happening with his Magic Eye.
His brain was working on overdrive as he used his knowledge of the arcane to co up with an explanation for what he was seeing.
After watching for a while, he noticed a pattern after observing the placent of the cyclones causing him to look up towards the sky.
It was there that Lake saw it.
The shining light of the stars above ford into a unique pattern that closely resembled the pattern the cyclones had ford.
"A universe forms within the body and the constellations are born! Mana gathers from the surroundings to arrange in a pattern that resonates with the sky, attracting the astral energy of the celestial bodies!"
When Lake saw this he was stunned. Never did he expect that Kate would gain such enlightennt during the modification process and actually complete her family’s ditation technique on her own, awakening what seed to be a unique power in the process.
Watching the mana and astral energy slowly combine together around Kate, Lake was neither jealous nor envious.
Instead, he was extrely excited. After all, the more Kate advanced, the closer Lake was to completing his quest.
With this thought in mind, Lake wasted no ti and started dashing around the training room, biting his thumb causing blood to flow which he used to draw intricate formations around the entire room.
After around five minutes, Lake had drawn twelve separate formations using his blood surrounding Kate.
After the patterns were drawn, Lake noticed that the mana flowing in from their surroundings had weakened considerably.
Lake knew this would be the case as the mana in the area was limited and the range of Kate’s attraction wasn’t far, only reaching the edges of the training facility. Because of this, he flashed about the room drawing several small mana gathering formations using his blood as a dium.
Normally, one would need several special materials to draw a proper formation, but since Lake’s mana circulation stored his mana along his veins, his blood had long since beco mana infused which allowed him to use it as a weak dium to replace the required materials and directly draw the formation.
With the formations set up in the surrounding, Lake released a little bit of his mana into the surrounding, activating each formation one after another.
With a low sizzle, each blood formation lit up as the blood burned up before turning into a reddish blue mist that started circulating around the area.
Whoosh!
Suddenly, the cyclones expanded to almost twice their size, increasing their attractive power once more to the point where they were pulling mana from outside of the training facility!
The sudden appearance of a vortex that absorbed all the mana in the surrounding had already alerted several of the Martial Grandmasters in the surrounding who could sense the sudden shift in the atmosphere.
Lake originally wanted to avoid sothing like this from happening, but after seeing Kate’s sudden progress, Lake didn’t wish to waste this opportunity to skyrocket a future ally when he didn’t even know what danger was lurking around the corner.
As the mana in the surrounding quickly flowed into cyclones, more and more astral energy fell from the sky and combined together with the surrounding mana.
When Lake felt that all the mana in the expanded radius of the cyclones was absorbed, each cyclone slowly stopped rotating as the astral mana from them quickly rushed towards Kate who still sat in a ditative stance on the ground.
At this point, when Kate was absorbing the astral energy from the surroundings, her long black hair floated upwards as her body slowly lifted off the ground.
Watching this scene, Lake focused on the activity happening inside Kate’s body.
The astral mana from the cyclones were ruthlessly rushing into Kate’s ridian and flowing along the newly opened flow path at incredible speed.
The residual mana that hadn’t combined with the astral energy before this process was directly forced out of her body under the pressure of the astral mana. When all the mana had been replaced, the insides of Kate’s flow path went through an astonishing change in Lake’s eyes.
From the original blue color that he had seen when he first looked inside Kate’s body through the Magic Eye, Her entire body had gone through a transformation.
Now, when Lake looks inside Kate’s body, it is like seeing a river of stars flowing through her body with her core acting as the central universe.
When all the astral mana in the surrounding had flowed into her body, Kate slowly floated down to her feet. Suddenly, Kate raised her arm and pointed towards one of the training dummies in the room.
When Lake saw this, he watched on curiously as he noticed that the astral mana within Kate’s body began to move.
The central universe within her core which was like a still lake suddenly rotated fiercely as astral mana rushed towards Kate’s arm, flowing through her flow path at incredible speed before quickly filling it up.
After less than two seconds, the astral mana gathered in her arm filled up to the point of bursting.
It was at that mont that Kate suddenly opened her palm and like water being released from floodgates, a beam of astral mana shot out.
Whistle!
BANG!
With the sound of sothing ripping through the air, a loud explosion shook the entire room as Lake watched on in amazent at the destroyed training dummy that had been blasted to pieces.
Those training dummies were designed to withstand blows of a High Rank Martial Apprentice. The fact that Kate could destroy it with just one blast shows that her strength had surpassed even that, reaching at least the Martial Warrior Realm!
However, as the thought flashed across Lake’s mind, he saw Kate suddenly fall to the floor as she gasped desperately.
Looking closely, Lake realized that she had heavily drained her astral mana after glancing at the central universe that had dimd by around a half.
When Lake saw this he instantly realized what had happened. Although Kate seems to have the strength that rivals Martial Warriors now, her energy reserves are still at the level of Martial Apprentice.
If Lake had to put it in the perspective of the system stats, it was like having extrely high Mana Strength, but abysmally low Mana Capacity, only allowing for her to use her mana for a few big moves or short sustain of incredible power.
That ranged attack she just released should be either her strongest move or sothing close to it.
"Congratulations on successfully awakening." Lake smiled as he sat down on the floor. His manner was almost exhausted just now so he was a little weak, not to ntion that he used up almost half a liter of blood to draw the formations.
However, even if Kate only had the ability to launch one or two attacks at the Martial Warrior level, Lake was still extrely satisfied with this outco.
After all, the difference between Martial Warrior and Martial Apprentice isn’t related to Mana Capacity, but the ability to release mana from the body.
Most people would think that difference between the two would have to do with Fitness Index but that is far from the truth.
Fitness Index is only a by-product people use to asure the difference between martial artists of the sa realm. It has nothing to do with the difference between realms.
In reality, the real difference between the two realms is the ability to release mana from the body, sothing that can be achieved once the mana strength has reached a certain index which also cos with the by-product of increased fitness index, that’s why people often mix up the two.
Since Kate could already release mana from her body, it shows that her mana strength had surpassed the required index for her to succeed. In this case, Kate could already be considered a Martial Warrior from this perspective, aning Lake had made a big leap in his chances of completing the quest on only the first day!
Lake wasn’t the only one happy about Kate’s awakening. Although Lake was extrely satisfied with Kate’s growth, it couldn’t be compared to Kate who had experienced the growth herself.
From not even being considered a Low Rank Martial Apprentice to skyrocketing to Martial Warrior in only a few hours. This was sothing Kate never thought possible leaving her completely breathless in excitent.
Turning her gaze to Lake who lay exhausted on the floor, Kate suddenly had the urge to run up and hug him in her excitent but she barely refrained herself from doing sothing embarrassing.
Kate opened her mouth to speak but suddenly realized that no words were coming out. This left her stunned for a mont but she quickly realized why.
In her excitent, she had forgotten that it was all thanks to Lake that she was able to advance so much in such a short ti. Right now, the gratitude in her heart had exceeded any past hatred or fear she held towards Lake and left her feeling uncomfortable.
Right now, she really didn’t know how to treat Lake.
Lake noticed this and released a light chuckle.
"It’s fine. Although it was ahead of schedule, I was planning to help you advance this far in the near future anyway. There is no need to be so speechless. Or could it be that you were stunned by my handsoness after realizing my awesoness?"
Hearing Lake’s narcissistic words, Kate couldn’t help but roll her eyes but she really did find herself calming down after hearing them.
"Don’t kid yourself, I’m not interested in handso guys in the first place."
This ti it was Lake’s turn to be stunned.
Not interested in handso guys? Doesn’t that an she would be interested in...
Lake didn’t finish thinking before Kate cut him off.
"It’s not what you’re thinking, I just had a bad experience with good looking people in the past."
Hearing this, Lake suddenly understood as he connected her words to an event he had seen in her fate.
Not wanting to continue this conversation anymore, Kate changed the subject.
"Although I’m not sure how you did it, I know you helped absorb more mana during my awakening. Considering that you also helped complete my family’s circulation technique and was also responsible for my awakening in the first place, that’s now three favors I owe you."
Lake smiled as she spoke. He had already gone through a lot of Kate’s past in detail and knew that this was her personality so he didn’t question it.
"Don’t worry, for these three favors, I guarantee that it would be within your future abilities to fulfill and won’t cross your bottom line."
Seeing that Lake didn’t try to reject her favors, Kate felt slightly better and was happy when she heard his last words.
"Good, I guarantee as long as it’s within my abilities and doesn’t break any of my moral principles, I’ll definitely repay these favors."
"That’s good. Speaking of which, why don’t I finally tell you what event I’m going to be holding? Consider it you repaying the first favor by helping set this up."
Hearing Lake’s words, Kate looked over curiously, wondering just what exactly Lake was planning to do after witnessing his ans.
While Lake was explaining his plans to hold an academy-wide training event, outside the private training room, four of the academy’s Martial Grandmaster level instructors and a few Martial Masters had already gathered outside.
They were patiently waiting for the door of the training room to open up so they could figure out what caused such a large quantity of the mana in the area to rush towards this room like a vortex.
