"Yeah! Blue Team!!"
"Good job, Blue!"
"Blue all the way!"
"Let’s go, Blue Team!"
The Blue Team panted heavily as they collapsed onto their buttocks. For a second, none of them thought much about it, their minds still trying to process what had just happened.
In their minds, all they needed to do was pull with all their might.
But then, the once-silent gymnasium erupted.
The walls and floors shook from the thunderous cheers and roaring voices, snapping everyone out of their daze.
Primo and Elliot flinched at the noise as though a riot had broken out. When they looked up, all they saw was a wildly hyped crowd cheering for them and rallying behind their team.
Primo, especially, blinked in surprise. He held his breath briefly, his brows lifting as his eyes scanned the packed gymnasium. Only then did he realize how crowded it had beco compared to when their ga first started.
Students and parents from other grades had their own activities to attend to, yet sohow, many of them had gathered here just to watch.
It was just a children’s ga, he thought.
Was there really a reason for everyone to be this excited?
Then Primo lowered his head briefly, thinking about it. The gas were silly, yet now that he reflected on it, he realized he had taken them just as seriously as everyone else.
The corners of his lips curled upward as the roaring cheers from the audience washed over him.
Primo turned toward Ashley, and the other parents slumped on the floor. A second later, Ashley snapped her gaze toward him.
The corners of her mouth lifted as her face brightened.
"Primo!" she called happily. "We won! We won!"
Without thinking, Primo jumped to his feet and sprinted toward her before leaping into her arms.
"Oh, my god!" Ashley squealed, hugging him just as tightly. Beaming, she repeated, "We won!"
Julius chuckled as he watched the mother and son, noticing the other parents laughing and celebrating with their own children as though they were only now realizing they had actually won.
"Daddy!" Elliot jumped to his feet and hugged Julius from behind, wrapping his little arms around his father’s neck. "We won! You’re the best dad ever!"
Julius chuckled as he held his son’s arms and glanced back at him. "Did you have fun, son?"
"Mhm!" Elliot bead. "That was so fun! Playing with Daddy!"
Julius smiled and nodded, letting Elliot cling to his back.
Perhaps this had beco the most successful event of the entire Foundation Day. Not because of the competition, but because everyone had finally understood the true essence of it all.
This school catered to elites.
Every student attending ca from a prominent family. So were children of politicians, influential figures, celebrities, or powerful business families. Only a select few attended through scholarships.
In other words, most of the parents here were busy people.
Julius was no exception. His work demanded his constant attention and presence. Yet he still ca because, sohow, this event gave him an excuse to say he was involved in his son’s life.
And perhaps many of the parents here felt the sa way.
It wasn’t that they didn’t want to spend ti with their children.
Work simply got in the way most of the ti.
So for many of them, this was a first.
To focus entirely on sothing alongside their child.
Winning was rely a bonus. They had already gained sothing far more important—they felt closer to their children.
Julius chuckled as he glanced toward Raka and the Red Team. Though they had lost, there was no bitterness on their faces. Instead, they were smiling and laughing with their children.
Then his gaze shifted back toward the Blue Team.
So mbers still sat idly on the floor with their children, while others had already gotten to their feet.
Eventually, his eyes landed on the family of three.
The people who had started all of this simply because Raka had pissed them off.
Among the Blue Team, Ashley and Primo were clinging to Lucian from either side.
Primo hugged Lucian’s waist while looking up at him with a bright smile. Ashley wrapped her arms around Lucian’s shoulders from the other side, beaming just as happily.
The duo looked like they were shalessly demanding a reward for winning.
anwhile, Lucian simply smiled back at them, his gaze darting between his wife and son.
"Hahaha!" Julius laughed, shaking his head. "What a lovely family."
Elliot giggled before turning to his father. "Daddy, next ti, I want Mommy to co with us too!"
"Of course," Julius nodded. "Your mom will be here. She’s just been very busy lately."
anwhile, Lucian let out a defeated sigh.
"Fine," he told his wife and son. "We’re doing a drive-thru on the way ho."
Ashley and Primo imdiately looked at each other, their eyes sparkling. In perfect sync, the mother and son cheered before high-fiving each other.
Lucian could only chuckle softly before coughing lightly behind closed lips.
"Hm?" Ashley finally released him, her brows knitting together. "Boo, you okay?"
Lucian nodded before coughing once more. It was only a mild cough, not nearly as painful as before.
"Mhm," he humd with a smile before glancing at Primo.
Lucian bent down and picked Primo up into his arms, his smile wider than anyone had seen before.
Holding his son securely, Lucian looked at him and asked, "Did you have fun?"
Primo blinked in surprise at the wide smile on his father’s face. It was the first ti he had seen Lucian smile so openly that even his teeth were showing.
Ashley was just as stunned, standing beside them, utterly enthralled by Lucian’s expression.
Primo nodded rapidly, now grinning just as brightly at his father.
[It was so fun! Foundation Day is fun!]
anwhile, Ashley’s lips parted slightly.
"Wow," she murmured, her eyes twinkling as she admired Lucian’s side profile. "Lucian, keep smiling like that. You’re so handso. My heart is beating so fast."
Though she muttered it quietly, both father and son still heard her, earning a glance from them.
As everyone slowly recovered from the ga and the crowd’s cheers began calming down, the organizers finally gathered both teams to officially announce the obvious winner.
Once again, the audience erupted in cheers while both teams shook hands in sportsmanship.
As the players exchanged handshakes, Raka reached out toward Lucian. Lucian accepted the handshake without hesitation.
But then, Raka paused for a second as he looked up, eting Lucian’s gaze at close range. Even after Lucian loosened his grip, Raka continued holding onto his hand.
"Let go," Lucian muttered calmly, imdiately drawing Ashley’s attention.
She turned her head and saw Raka still gripping Lucian’s hand tightly.
Raka narrowed his eyes at him.
"You..." He raised a brow. "Are you... okay?"
