Yannick Luther hesitated for a few more seconds, then suddenly realized that Frank was about to tell him sothing he had always been curious about.
He imdiately perked up his ears, preparing to listen attentively.
"Frank, what exactly happened between you and Rebecca Kelloway? What has she deceived you about?"
"Do you rember, many years ago, when I held a birthday party, and I accidentally fell into the swimming pool that night and almost drowned?"
"Of course, I rember. I have a deep impression of that incident. That night, you were almost drowned." Yannick would never forget that.
But what did Frank Parker want to say by suddenly bringing this up?
Did his falling out with Rebecca have anything to do with this?
What exactly did she deceive him about?
It seed Frank had cald down at this point, and his face returned to its usual cold deanor: "The person who saved that night wasn’t Rebecca. She lied to and deceived for a full ten years."
"I will never forgive her in this lifeti."
"Wh-what?!" Yannick was shocked and taken aback. "The person who saved you that night was not her? But, but, didn’t she say she was the one who saved you? If it wasn’t her, then who was it?"
"I don’t believe it, could it be... "
Before Ashton Heath could say anything, Yannick suddenly ca up with a possibility and was once again shocked.
He opened his mouth, his eyes wide with astonishnt, and was speechless for a mont.
He thought that he had guessed who the person who really saved Frank was.
So, that’s why Frank and Rebecca had suddenly fallen out.
So, that’s why Frank Parker would suddenly beco fond of Joanna Lawrence.
No wonder.
Yannick and Frank have always had a good private relationship and often hang out together.
So Yannick knew best how grateful Frank was to Rebecca for saving him that night.
It could be said that most of the reason Frank treated Rebecca so well afterward was that she saved his life.
After all, before that, Frank and Rebecca were just friends.
Frank didn’t treat her especially well.
"Frank, the person who saved you that night... was it my sister-in-law?" Yannick hesitated for a mont, asking his guess out loud.
"Hmm." Frank nodded, "That night, the person who saved was Joanna, not Rebecca."
Yannick: "..."
Just as he had guessed.
"But how did you find out about this? I an, how did you know that Rebecca lied to you? Didn’t you suspect her for the past ten years?" Yannick asked his question.
Frank’s face suddenly darkened, and he gritted his teeth angrily, "I never thought she’d deceive ."
Well, alright then.
Yannick stayed silent for a mont, sighing, "She really went too far with this. I used to think that you may have had so ordinary disagreent between you and her, and I wanted to diate between you, but it seems there’s no need now."
"But Frank, have you ever considered this?"
Frank looked at him coldly.
Yannick paused for a second, then continued, "You started treating Joanna well because you found out that she was your lifesaver, but have you considered that you might not really like her? Your feelings for her might just be gratitude, not love."
"You might be confusing love with gratitude."
After saying that, Yannick was given a fierce glare by Frank.
